Abstract

This application discloses a compression-type waterproof component for a connector, disposed within the connector, which includes a male end and a female end. The female end has a terminal holder. The compression-type waterproof component includes an annular body with an axial hole for fitting onto the outer periphery of the terminal holder. The annular body also includes a first ring, a second ring, and a concave-convex structure disposed between the first and second rings. The concave-convex structure includes a recess and a protrusion connected to the recess, wherein the outer peripheral surface of the recess is a straight edge parallel to the axial hole. This allows for a longer travel distance, thereby maintaining a constant applied force.

Claims

1. A compression-type waterproof component for a connector, disposed within a connector, the connector including a male end connector and a female end connector, the female end connector having a terminal holder, the compression-type waterproof component including an annular body having an axial hole for fitting around the outer periphery of the terminal holder, the annular body further including a first annular ring, a second annular ring, and a concave-convex structure disposed between the first annular ring and the second annular ring, the concave-convex structure including at least one recess and at least one protrusion connected to the recess, wherein the outer peripheral surface of the recess is a straight side parallel to the axial hole.

2. The compression-type waterproof component for a connector as described in claim 1, wherein the outer peripheral surface of the protrusion is a convex arc surface.

3. The compression-type waterproof component for a connector as described in claim 1, wherein the outer peripheral surface of the protrusion is a straight edge.

4. The compression-type waterproof component for a connector as described in claim 1, wherein the outer peripheral surface of the protrusion is an extended straight edge connecting the second ring.

5. The compression-type waterproof component for a connector as described in claim 1, wherein the concave-convex structure is an external thread.

6. The compression-type waterproof component for a connector as described in claim 1, wherein both the recess and the protrusion are plural, and the recess is disposed between any two adjacent protrusions.
