Abstract

A vehicle auxiliary lighting system is disclosed to address the known problems of increased load on the vehicle's electrical system or shortened battery life. The system includes: a voltage detection module electrically connected to a vehicle battery for detecting the battery voltage and generating a voltage signal; a control module receiving the voltage signal from the voltage detection module and outputting a control signal based on the voltage signal; a power regulation module generating a drive current based on the control signal output by the control module; and a lighting module receiving the drive current from the power regulation module. The control module determines the vehicle battery voltage based on the voltage signal and controls the drive current of the power regulation module to adjust the output power of the lighting module. This improves ease of use and provides dynamic power regulation.

Claims

1. A vehicle auxiliary lighting system, comprising: a voltage detection module electrically connected to a vehicle battery for detecting the voltage of the vehicle battery and generating a voltage signal; a control module for receiving the voltage signal from the voltage detection module and outputting a control signal based on the voltage signal; a power regulation module for generating a drive current based on the control signal output by the control module; and a lighting module for receiving the drive current from the power regulation module, wherein the control module determines the voltage of the vehicle battery based on the voltage signal and controls the drive current of the power regulation module by means of the voltage to adjust the output power of the lighting module.

2. The vehicle auxiliary lighting system as described in claim 1, wherein, When the voltage of the vehicle battery is higher than a first preset voltage value, the lighting module operates at 100% power.

3. The vehicle auxiliary lighting system as described in claim 2, wherein, The first preset voltage value is 13.2V.

4. The vehicle auxiliary lighting system as described in claim 2, wherein, When the voltage of the vehicle battery is lower than the first preset voltage value and higher than the second preset voltage value, the output power of the lighting module is gradually reduced from 100% to 30%.

5. The vehicle auxiliary lighting system as described in claim 4, wherein, The second preset voltage value is 12.3V.

6. The vehicle auxiliary lighting system as described in claim 4, wherein, When the voltage of the vehicle battery is lower than the second preset voltage value, the output power of the lighting module is maintained at 30%.

7. The vehicle auxiliary lighting system as described in claim 6, wherein, When the voltage of the vehicle battery is lower than a third preset voltage value, the control module turns off the lighting module.

8. The vehicle auxiliary lighting system as described in claim 7, wherein, The third preset voltage value is 11.5V.

9. The vehicle auxiliary lighting system as claimed in claim 1, wherein, The lighting module is an LED fog light or an auxiliary lighting light.
