Abstract

This invention is a multi-strand olive-shaped spring, comprising: two small-diameter spiral sections, one large-diameter spiral section, and two medium-diameter spiral sections. The two medium-diameter spiral sections are located between the two small-diameter spiral sections, and the large-diameter spiral sections are located between the two small-diameter spiral sections. The large-diameter spiral section includes at least three large-diameter coils, each of the two small-diameter spiral sections includes one small-diameter coil, and each of the two medium-diameter spiral sections includes one medium-diameter coil. Each medium-diameter coil is connected between adjacent small-diameter and large-diameter coils. The multi-strand olive-shaped spring is formed by three strands of metal wires wound together. The ends of each metal wire extend inward from the top and bottom sides and exceed the corresponding small-diameter coils. When actually applied to a spring mattress, adjacent springs will have more spacing between the top and bottom ends where the coils narrow.

Claims

1. A multi-strand olive-shaped spring, wherein: The multi-strand olive-shaped spring includes two small-diameter spiral sections, one large-diameter spiral section, and two medium-diameter spiral sections. The two medium-diameter spiral sections are located between the two small-diameter spiral sections, and the large-diameter spiral section is located between the two small-diameter spiral sections. The large-diameter spiral section includes at least three large-diameter coils, each of the two small-diameter spiral sections includes one small-diameter coil, and each of the two medium-diameter spiral sections includes one medium-diameter coil. Each medium-diameter coil is connected between adjacent small-diameter and large-diameter coils. The multi-strand olive-shaped spring is formed by three strands of metal wire wound together. The ends of each metal wire extend inward from the top and bottom sides and exceed the corresponding small-diameter coils.

2. The multi-strand olive-shaped spring as described in claim 1, wherein the spacing between the at least three large diameter coils is 50mm to 60mm.

3. The multi-strand olive-shaped spring as described in claim 1, wherein the distance between the intermediate diameter coils of the two intermediate diameter sections and the adjacent large diameter coils of the at least three large diameter coils is 30mm to 35mm.

The multi-strand olive-shaped spring as described in claim 1, further defining a first imaginary line, wherein the outermost of each of the at least three-diameter coils has a first imaginary point, the first imaginary line connecting each first imaginary point, wherein the outermost of one of the medium-diameter coils in the two medium-diameter helical sections has a second imaginary point, the second imaginary point and the adjacent first imaginary point are connected by a second imaginary line, the second imaginary line and the first imaginary line have an angle of 5 to 7 degrees.

5. The multi-strand olive-shaped spring as described in claim 1, wherein the diameter of each of the three metal wires is 1 to 2 mm.

6. The multi-strand olive-shaped spring as described in claim 1, wherein the material of each of the three metal wires may be high-carbon steel.

7. The multi-strand olive-shaped spring as described in claim 1, wherein the diameter of the at least three-diameter coil is 55mm to 70mm.

8. The multi-strand olive-shaped spring as described in claim 1, wherein the small-diameter coils of the two small-diameter helical sections are respectively 35mm to 40mm in diameter.

9. The multi-strand olive-shaped spring as described in claim 1, wherein the two medium-diameter helical sections each include a medium-diameter coil with a diameter of 40mm to 50mm.

10. The multi-strand olive-shaped spring as described in claim 1, wherein the total length of the two small-diameter screw sections and the two medium-diameter screw sections is 35% to 50% of the length of the large-diameter screw section.
