Abstract

This invention relates to a power bank safety protection system, mainly comprising a central control unit coupled to a power counting unit and a protection control unit. The power counting unit is coupled to a charge / discharge control management unit and connected to a rechargeable battery cell. Herein, the power counting unit monitors the number of usage cycles of the rechargeable battery cell. When the number of cycles reaches a safe set value, the protection control unit, through the charge / discharge control management unit, automatically adjusts and reduces the maximum input power and maximum output power of the power bank, or shuts down the charging function, putting the power bank into a safety protection mode. This effectively prevents accidents such as explosion or burnout, thereby achieving safer and more reliable performance.

Claims

1. A power bank safety protection system, comprising: a central control unit; an input / output control unit for converting the voltage at the power bank's input / output terminals; a charge / discharge control management unit correspondingly coupled to a rechargeable battery unit, the input / output control unit, and the central control unit, for periodically reducing the full charge voltage of the rechargeable battery unit according to the number of cycles, and transmitting and storing the data in the central control unit; a power counting unit coupled to the central control unit and the charge / discharge control management unit, for monitoring and calculating the number of cycles of the rechargeable battery unit, and transmitting the data to the central control unit; and a protection control unit coupled to the central control unit and the charge / discharge control management unit, for setting a safety limit value for the number of cycles, and for automatically adjusting and reducing the maximum input power and maximum output power of the power bank, or disabling the charging function, when the number of cycles of the rechargeable battery unit reaches the safety limit value as received by the central control unit.

2. The mobile power safety protection system as claimed in claim 1, wherein a protection element unit is provided between the charging and discharging control management unit and the rechargeable battery unit, the protection element unit being composed of at least one protection element, the protection element unit being used to cut off power when there is an abnormality in the charging and discharging process.

3. The power bank safety protection system as described in claim 1, wherein the protection control unit further controls the input / output control unit through the charge / discharge control management unit to automatically adjust and reduce the maximum input power and maximum output power of the power bank.

4. The mobile power bank safety protection system as described in claim 1, wherein the protection control unit further controls the input / output control unit to disable the mobile power bank charging function through the charge / discharge control management unit.

5. The mobile power safety protection system as described in any one of claims 1 to 4, further comprising a display unit coupled to the central control unit for displaying system data.

6. The mobile power safety protection system as described in any one of claims 1 to 4, further comprising a temperature detection unit coupled to the central control unit for monitoring the temperature of the rechargeable battery unit during the charging process.
