Abstract

This invention relates to an electrical connector for connecting a flexible circuit board. Limiting fasteners are provided on both sides of the housing, and a supporting concave arc is formed within these fasteners. This allows the pivot of the movable component to be stably pivoted and guided within the supporting concave arc. Simultaneously, the pivot of the movable component, the pivot of the terminal element, and the pivot connection of the movable component share the same pivot axis. Furthermore, this invention forms a side wall at the side end of the movable component, which can form a limiting contact with the side wall of the housing during operation. This restricts the inward or outward swing of the movable component, preventing it from detaching due to external downward or outward torsional forces during opening or closing operations, thereby improving the safety and durability of the overall structure. Thus, this invention not only effectively avoids the problem of the movable component detaching during operation but also improves guiding accuracy, operational stability, and electrical connection reliability, thereby enhancing the practicality and quality of the electrical connector.

Claims

1. An electrical connector for connecting a flexible circuit board, comprising: a housing having a base surface, wherein a plurality of terminal grooves arranged in an upward orientation are formed on the base surface, and a fastening groove is provided on each side of the housing corresponding to the base surface, each fastening groove defining a side wall surface relative to the interior of the housing; a plurality of terminal elements respectively arranged in an orientation and embedded in each of the terminal grooves of the housing, wherein each terminal element has an upper arm and a lower arm, a connecting portion is connected between the upper arm and the lower arm, and an upper contact portion is provided at the end of the upper arm, the bottom edge of the upper contact portion forming a pivot portion; Two limiting fasteners are respectively fitted and positioned in the fastener slots on both sides of the housing, and are arranged parallel to each terminal element. Each limiting fastener has a fixing wrist and a limiting wrist. The side edge of the limiting wrist forms a supporting concave arc, and each supporting concave arc shares the same pivot axis with the pivot of each terminal element. A movable member has an operating part and forms a plurality of slots corresponding to the positions of each terminal element. Each slot has a pivot part, and each pivot part is pivotally mounted to the pivot of each terminal element. Each side of the movable member has a side end, and each side end has a pivot protruding outward, and the pivot axis shares the same axis with each pivot part. A connecting part extends laterally from the upper edge of each side end, and the end of the connecting part forms a side wall longitudinally downward. One end of the side wall is connected to the pivot to define a pivoting space inside the side wall. The pivot is pivotally mounted and positioned within the support recess of the limiting fastener, and the outer side of the side retaining wall forms a limiting contact with the side wall surface of the housing, thereby preventing the movable component from disengaging during operation or retraction.

2. The electrical connector for connecting a flexible circuit board as described in claim 1, wherein a connecting portion is further formed at the bottom of the connecting portion of each terminal element, and a lower contact portion is provided at the end of the lower wrist.

3. The electrical connector for connecting a flexible circuit board as described in claim 1, wherein each of the limiting fasteners is further provided with a fixing foot.
