Abstract

This invention relates to a structural improvement of a lathe tool, comprising an insert, a tool holder, and a screw. The insert includes a blade portion and a cutting edge portion. The blade portion has a positioning groove and a through hole. One end of the tool holder has a locking groove, which includes a positioning protrusion and a fixing hole. When the insert is mounted in the locking groove of the tool holder, the positioning groove of the blade portion fits against the positioning protrusion of the locking groove. The screw is then passed through the through hole in the blade portion and the positioning hole in the tool holder, locking the blade portion of the insert into the locking groove of the tool holder, effectively and securely connecting the insert to the tool holder.

Claims

1. An improved structure of a lathe tool, the lathe tool structure comprising: an insert, a tool holder, and at least one screw; wherein, The blade comprises a blade body and a cutting edge. The blade body has at least one positioning groove and at least one through hole, and the cutting edge is located at both ends of the blade body. One end of the blade shank has a locking groove, which has at least one positioning protrusion and at least one fixing hole, and forms a protruding end with the blade shank. During assembly, the blade is mounted on the locking groove of the blade shank, so that the positioning groove of the blade body fits against the positioning protrusion of the locking groove. After the screw passes through the through hole of the blade body and the fixing hole of the blade shank, the blade body of the blade is locked in the locking groove of the blade shank.

2. The structural improvement of the lathe tool as described in claim 1, wherein, The cutting edge of the blade is located at one end of the blade body.

3. The structural improvement of the lathe tool as described in claim 1, wherein, When the screw passes through the through hole in the blade body and engages with the fixing hole in the shank, it engages one side of the blade against the protruding end of the locking groove in the shank.
