Abstract

A display device backlight dimming system includes: a backlight module; a backlight driving circuit for driving the backlight module to emit light, the backlight driving circuit having a DC dimming mode and a pulse width modulation dimming mode; a switching circuit; a control unit; and a manual input unit for providing a manual switching command to the control unit under the operation of a user, wherein the control unit controls the switching state of the switching circuit according to the manual switching command, so that the backlight driving circuit switches between the DC dimming mode and the pulse width modulation dimming mode under the control of the DC dimming control signal or the pulse width modulation dimming control signal transmitted from the control unit.

Claims

1. A backlight dimming system for a display device, comprising: a backlight module disposed on a display panel and having a plurality of light-emitting diodes; a backlight driving circuit electrically connected to the backlight module for driving the plurality of light-emitting diodes to emit light, the backlight driving circuit having a DC dimming mode and a pulse width modulation dimming mode; a switching circuit electrically connected to the backlight driving circuit; a control unit electrically connected to the switching circuit; and a manual input unit connected to the control unit for providing manual switching commands to the control unit in response to user operation, wherein... The control unit controls the switching state of the switching circuit according to the manual switching command, so that the backlight driving circuit switches between DC dimming mode and pulse width modulation dimming mode under the control of the DC dimming control signal or pulse width modulation dimming control signal transmitted from the control unit through the switching circuit.

2. The display device backlight dimming system of request item 1, wherein the manual input unit is a physical button or a touch operation interface.

3. The display device backlight dimming system as requested in item 1, wherein the manual input unit is a screen display menu or a software control interface.

4. The backlight dimming system of the display device as described in claim 1, wherein the switching circuit is an analog switch or a multiplexer.

The display device backlight dimming system of claim 1 further includes a monitoring unit electrically connected to the backlight module and the control unit for detecting temperature parameters, voltage parameters or current parameters of the backlight module, and transmitting the sensing results back to the control unit.

6. The display device backlight dimming system of claim 5, wherein the control unit adjusts the brightness of the backlight module or limits the operation state of the backlight module based on the sensing result.

7. The display device backlight dimming system of claim 1 further includes a communication unit electrically connected to the control unit, the communication unit communicating with the manual input unit to receive the manual switching command.
