Abstract

This invention relates to an air-supported tonearm structure, which mainly consists of an air-support unit located below the tonearm assembly. The air-support unit includes a support base and a rotating base that floats in contact with the support base. The support base and the rotating base have corresponding spherical surfaces, which are supplied with air from the outside to form an inflatable air cushion between the two spherical surfaces. This allows the two spherical surfaces between the rotating base and the support base to rotate in a frictionless, omnidirectional suspended manner. In this way, the floating air cushion concept isolates mechanical vibrations, and combined with the VTA helical mechanism that can be adjusted in real time and the low center of gravity counterweight, it achieves a tracking effect that maintains extremely high sensitivity and stability.
