Abstract
Claims
1. A relay, comprising: A switch configured to perform a specified switching operation in response to a magnetic field; multiple control coils; A controller, coupled to the plurality of control coils, is configured to adjust the number of the plurality of control coils in use according to the operating temperature of the relay, and to control the plurality of control coils to provide the magnetic field based on the number of coils in use and a control signal, wherein the higher the operating temperature, the greater the number of coils in use.
2. The relay as claimed in claim 1, wherein the controller comprises: A temperature sensor is configured to sense the operating temperature.
3. The relay as described in claim 1, wherein: The plurality of control coils includes a first control coil and a second control coil, and when the operating temperature drops to a first temperature, the controller controls the first control coil to provide a first magnetic field according to the control signal.
4. The relay as claimed in claim 3, wherein when the operating temperature drops to the first temperature, the controller controls the second control coil to stop providing the second magnetic field.
5. The relay as described in claim 4, wherein: When the operating temperature rises to the second temperature, the controller controls the first control coil to provide the first magnetic field according to the control signal, and controls the second control coil to provide the second magnetic field according to the control signal, and the second temperature is higher than the first temperature.
6. The relay as claimed in claim 5, wherein the magnetic field strength when the operating temperature rises to the second temperature is higher than the magnetic field strength when the operating temperature drops to the second temperature.
7. The relay as claimed in claim 5, wherein the controller comprises: A signal generator is configured to: generate a first signal in response to a control signal when the operating temperature drops to a first temperature range, and generate the first signal and a second signal according to the control signal when the operating temperature rises to a second temperature range, wherein the controller controls the first control coil to provide the first magnetic field according to the first signal, and controls the second control coil to provide the second magnetic field according to the second signal.
8. The relay as claimed in claim 7, wherein the controller further comprises: A first signal amplifier is coupled to the signal generator and the first control coil and configured to amplify the voltage value of the first signal to generate a first operating signal. A second signal amplifier, coupled to the signal generator and the second control coil, and configured to amplify the voltage value of the second signal to generate a second operating signal.
9. The relay as claimed in claim 8, wherein the first control coil responds to the first operating signal to generate the first magnetic field.
10. The relay as claimed in claim 8, wherein the second control coil responds to the second operating signal to generate the second magnetic field.
