Abstract

This invention provides a storage device with an electronic paper display. The device comprises an electronic paper display, a heat insulation layer, and a storage device disposed inside an upper housing and a lower housing. The heat insulation layer is disposed below one of the electronic paper displays. The storage device includes a processing element electrically connected to the electronic paper display, and a plurality of storage elements included in the storage device are electrically connected to the processing element. When the storage device is powered on, the processing element sends a refresh signal to the electronic paper display to display a first status signal. When the processing element detects that the storage device is powered off, the electronic paper display further displays a second status signal corresponding to the status of one of the storage elements.

Claims

1. A storage device with an electronic paper display, comprising: an upper housing; an electronic paper display disposed below one side of the upper housing; a heat insulation layer disposed below one side of the electronic paper display; and a storage device comprising: a circuit board disposed below one side of the heat insulation layer; a processing element disposed above one side of the circuit board, the processing element being electrically connected to the electronic paper display; and a plurality of storage elements disposed below one side of the circuit board corresponding to the processing element, the storage elements being electrically connected to the processing element; and a lower housing disposed below one side of the storage device, the upper housing and the lower housing covering the electronic paper display, the heat insulation layer, and the storage device; wherein... When the processing element detects that the storage device is powered on, it sends a refresh signal to the electronic paper display to display a first status signal; and when the processing element detects that the storage device is powered off, it detects the storage elements and generates a control signal to the electronic paper display, which further displays a second status signal corresponding to the status of one of the storage elements.

2. The storage device with an electronic paper display as described in claim 1, wherein the storage device is provided with a connection port electrically connected to the processing element.

3. The storage device with an electronic paper display as described in claim 1, wherein the upper housing is provided with a light-transmitting area corresponding to the position of the electronic paper display.

4. The storage device with an electronic paper display as described in claim 1, wherein the electronic paper display is a bistable display.

5. The storage device with an electronic paper display as described in claim 4, wherein the bistable display comprises an electrophoretic electronic paper display or a cholesteric liquid crystal electronic paper display.

6. The storage device with an electronic paper display as described in claim 1, wherein the heat insulation layer is selected from one or any combination of an aerogel, a silicone, a ceramic fiber, and a glass fiber.

7. The storage device with an electronic paper display as described in claim 1, wherein each of the storage elements is a flash memory.

8. The storage device with an electronic paper display as described in claim 1, wherein the lower housing abuts against the storage elements to conduct heat energy from the storage elements.

9. The storage device with an electronic paper display as described in claim 1, wherein the first status signal and the second status signal include a remaining storage space, a visual identification code, and an identification name.

10. The storage device with an electronic paper display as claimed in claim 1, wherein the circuit board of the storage device is further provided with a capacitor electrically connected to the processing element and the electronic paper display.
