Abstract
Claims
1. A structure for an electric assist device for a stand-up paddleboard, wherein the device is positioned below the tail rudder of the stand-up paddleboard for easy use and replacement. The main components of this device include a battery, a motor controller, a motor, a charging converter, an antenna, a coupling, a shaft, propeller blades, and a waterproof seal. The battery, motor controller, motor, charging converter, antenna, coupling, and waterproof seal are all housed within a waterproof plastic fin-shaped housing. Only the shaft and propeller blades come into contact with external water. The motor, coupling, shaft, waterproof seal, and propeller blades are assembled in concentric circles from left to right at the bottom of the plastic fin-shaped housing, with the motor shaft as the connecting axis. The battery is positioned above the motor. The charging converter is secured to the rear wall inside the plastic fin-shaped housing. The motor controller is placed next to the battery near the front of the plastic fin-shaped housing, and the antenna is placed at the very front. Location; During operation, first use a magnet to hold the reed switch, indicating that the machine is in standby mode. Then, the watch-type wireless remote control is activated to wirelessly pair with the plastic fin-shaped housing. The battery and motor are connected by a motor controller to handle power output and power monitoring. In addition, the watch provides signals to the plastic fin-shaped housing to accelerate or decelerate, thereby controlling the motor speed. The water jet propulsion of the plastic fin-shaped housing is achieved by rotating propeller blades. Its water inlet adopts an open mesh, allowing surrounding water to be directly drawn in. The water jet nozzle has a conical angle, which increases the water pressure and enhances the propulsive force. The charging converter inside the plastic fin-shaped housing can be directly charged at home by plugging in a charger. If outdoor power is insufficient, an external backup battery can be connected to expand its power consumption, thereby increasing the distance the electric assist device can travel and extending its operating time.
2. The structure of the electric propeller for stand-up paddleboards as described in claim 1 provides the user with three-in-one functionality: a waterproof watch operated by radio frequency allows the user to choose to use it a) attached to the bottom of the surfboard's tail rudder or b) with two handles attached to a metal plate and connected to a plastic fin-shaped shell via an adapter for underwater use, or c) mounted on the side or stern of a canoe and connected to a plastic fin-shaped shell via an adapter and other supports for underwater propulsion.
3. The structure of the stand-up paddleboard electric assist device as described in claim 2, the wireless radio frequency watch, the device allows the user to set the local time and the desired high or low speed operation, and can show the remaining battery capacity of the watch itself and the remaining battery capacity of the system itself through its LCD screen, the watch itself is charged by wireless charging, and the system itself is charged by wired charging.
4. The structure of the stand-up paddleboard electric assist device as described in claim 1, the structure is equipped with a reed switch that can be magnetically connected. When using it, the user must first use a magnet to attract the reed switch to notify the control module to prepare for activation and accept pairing with the watch of the wireless device. If the pairing is successful, an arc-shaped 8-bar battery area will appear on the watch's LCD screen to indicate that the pairing is successful and can be started. If the pairing is unsuccessful, an error message will appear, or the user can try to pair again.
5. The structure of the electric booster for stand-up paddleboards as described in claim 1, wherein the purpose of the motor power unit of this structure is to rotate the propeller to generate thrust, the motor is placed at the bottom of a waterproof plastic fin-shaped housing, the bottom of which is equipped with a shock-absorbing and heat-absorbing rubber pad, and is connected to the shaft and coupling for mounting the propeller.
6. The electric booster for stand-up paddleboards as described in claim 1, wherein the water jet propulsion method is driven by the rotation of the propeller blades, the water inlet adopts a mesh open design so that surrounding water can be directly drawn in, and the water jet nozzle has a conical angle to increase the water pressure and enhance the propulsion force.
7. The electric auxiliary device for stand-up paddleboards as described in claim 1, before the motor shaft is combined with other water jet propulsion parts, a mechanical shaft seal component is first inserted into the bullet-shaped plastic part and the propeller shaft is placed in it. The motor shaft and the aforementioned propeller shaft are then combined and locked together by a coupling, and the concentricity of the shafts is adjusted. This structure facilitates assembly, adjustment and maintenance.
8. The electric assist device for stand-up paddleboards as described in claim 1, wherein the adapter can be first locked to the top cover of the plastic fin-shaped shell and then snapped into the groove of the surfboard tail rudder, or first snapped into the groove of the surfboard tail rudder and then locked to the top cover of the plastic fin-shaped shell, both of which are easy to assemble; in addition, to prevent the device from falling off and sinking into the water, the user can tie a rope to the attached metal plate on the rear side of the shell and then attach it to the surfboard, or if used for diving, it can be attached to the equipment on the body.
9. The electric assist device for stand-up paddleboards as described in claim 1, wherein the charging converter inside the plastic fin housing can be charged indoors or connected to an external backup battery outdoors to extend its power supply, thereby enabling the electric assist propulsion to travel further and last longer.
