Abstract

A fan braking mechanism includes a fan unit and a braking unit disposed at the bottom of its frame. The braking unit includes a braking module that rotates with the fan axis and a braking base housing the braking module; the braking module has a movable member with a claw. The braking base has an annular groove in which a braking ring is rotatably housed. The inner circumferential surface of the braking ring has protruding teeth with a stop surface and a return slope. When the fan blades rotate in the reverse direction, the claw extends and abuts against the stop surface of the protruding teeth, thereby causing the braking ring to rotate synchronously; the friction between the braking ring and the annular groove buffers the instantaneous impact energy and stops the fan blades. When the fan blades resume forward rotation, the claw slides along the return slope and retracts to its original position. This invention uses a rotational force-dissipating mechanism of the braking ring to buffer instantaneous impacts and prevent the protruding teeth or movable member from breaking due to rigid contact.

Claims

1. A fan brake mechanism, comprising: A fan unit includes a frame and a fan blade. The frame is vertically mounted with a shaft, and the fan blade is vertically mounted with a shaft. One end of the shaft is fixed to the fan blade, and the other end is located inside the shaft and has a connecting portion. A brake unit is located at the bottom of the frame and includes a brake module and a brake base for housing the brake module. The brake module includes a body and at least one movable member disposed in the body. The body has a through groove that corresponds to the connecting portion, so that the brake module is sleeved on the shaft and rotated by the shaft. The movable member has a first end and a second end. The first end is provided with a wind resistance device, and the second end forms a claw portion. The brake base is provided with an annular mounting groove, and the fan brake mechanism further includes a brake ring rotatably housed in the annular mounting groove. The inner circumferential surface of the brake ring is provided with at least one protruding tooth, and the protruding tooth forms a stop surface and a return slope. When the fan blade rotates in the reverse direction, the second end of the movable part is thrown out from the body, causing the claw to abut against the stop surface of the tooth and drive the brake ring to rotate. The friction between the brake ring and the ring groove buffers and stops the fan blade. When the fan blade rotates in the forward direction, the claw slides back to its original position along the return slope of the tooth.

2. The fan brake mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein, The brake ring has an outer diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the ring groove; by matching the outer diameter with the inner diameter of the ring groove, the radial displacement of the brake ring relative to the brake base is restricted.

3. The fan brake mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein, The outer circumferential surface of the brake ring is provided with at least one annular groove, and the inner circumferential wall of the annular groove is provided with at least one annular rib. By means of the mutual sliding fit of the annular rib being accommodated in the annular groove, the axial displacement of the brake ring relative to the brake base is restricted, and the brake ring is allowed to rotate circumferentially relative to the brake base.

4. The fan brake mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein, The outer circumferential surface of the brake ring has a rough structure to increase the coefficient of friction between the brake ring and the inner circumferential surface of the ring groove.

5. The fan brake mechanism as described in claim 4, wherein, The rough structure is a textured, knurled, or rough surface layer.

6. The fan brake mechanism as described in claim 4, wherein, The outer circumferential surface of the brake ring includes a plurality of axial contact surfaces and a plurality of radial contact surfaces; the rough structure is provided on at least one of the axial contact surfaces or the radial contact surfaces.

7. The fan brake mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein, The brake base includes a base and a flange extending axially from the base, with an annular groove formed on the inner circumferential surface of the flange.

8. The fan brake mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein, The tooth has a top; the stop surface and the return slope extend from both sides of the top to the inner circumferential surface of the brake ring.

9. The fan brake mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein, The material of the brake ring is selected from the group consisting of plastics, rubber, metals and combinations thereof.

10. The fan brake mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein, The at least one tooth system consists of a plurality of teeth, which are arranged at equal angular intervals along the inner circumferential surface of the brake ring.
