Abstract

This invention relates to the structure of an electrical connector, comprising: an insulating colloid including a base with an internal accommodating space, a plurality of cables having conductive terminals in the accommodating space, and terminal blocks at the base corresponding to the plurality of conductive terminals; a shielding shell including a frame and an elastic portion mounted outside the terminal blocks, the top side of the elastic portion having a strap hole for fixing the connecting end of a pull strap passing through the top side of the base; and an unlocking member including a main body mounted between the terminal blocks and the frame, the main body having a supporting portion, and cantilever arms extending downward on both sides of the main body, the two cantilever arms having outwardly protruding shaft portions pivotally connected to the frame, and a pushing portion formed at the free end of the two cantilever arms. The aforementioned pull strap configuration allows the electrical connector installed in a confined space to use the pull strap as the extension force point, making it easy to perform unlocking operations.

Claims

1. A structure for an electrical connector, comprising: An insulating colloid includes a base with an internal accommodating space for housing a plurality of cables with conductive terminals at their front ends, and a terminal block for the conductive terminals to pass through at the corresponding locations on the base; a shielding housing includes a frame mounted outside the terminal block, the frame having an elastic portion on its top side, the elastic portion having a strap hole on its top side for fixing the connecting end of a pull strap passing through the top side of the base; and an unlocking member including a main body mounted between the terminal block and the frame, the main body having at least one abutting portion, and a cantilever extending downward on both sides of the main body, the two cantilever arms having outwardly protruding shaft portions pivotally connected to the frame, and a pushing portion formed at the free end of the two cantilever arms, wherein, when the pull strap is pulled, the top side of the elastic portion can be pressed down against the abutting portion, and the pushing portion of the unlocking member rotates forward and pushes a pre-set mating connector backward.

The structure of the electrical connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the accommodating space of the base has a mating side corresponding to the conductive terminals, and the accommodating space has a cable-laying side corresponding to the side plate of the base for the cables to extend out, and the mating side is adjacent to the cable-laying side.

The structure of the electrical connector as described in claim 1, wherein the base has a recessed top side forming a storage groove for accommodating the strap body, and the storage groove has a through hole at the mating front end for the strap body to pass through, the connecting end is formed at the suspended front end of the strap body, and a wide operating part is formed at the rear side of the strap body.

The structure of the electrical connector as described in claim 1, wherein the terminal block includes an assembly that extends into the accommodating space of the base through a plurality of snap fasteners to form a plurality of snap slots for engaging and fixing, the assembly having a protrusion that engages between upper and lower side plates on the wire-laying side of the base, and a plurality of mating bodies extending forward from the assembly, wherein a plurality of terminal slots are formed in the assemblies and the mating bodies for the conductive terminals to pass through and engage and fix.

5. The structure of the electrical connector as claimed in claim 4, wherein the top side of the assembly is recessed to form at least one limiting groove for the elastic portion of the shielding housing to be stopped.

The structure of the electrical connector as described in claim 4, wherein the conductive terminal includes a hollow mating portion located at the free end, the mating portion extending rearward to a clamping portion for clamping the exposed wire core at the front end of the cable, the clamping portion extending rearward to a ring-shaped fixing portion fitted onto the outer insulation of the cable, and the fixing portion further extending rearward to a locking portion with a larger diameter that engages in the terminal slots inside the assembly.

The structure of the electrical connector as described in claim 1, wherein the two sides of the frame of the shielding housing extend upward through the bending portion to the fixing plate of the elastic portion, the two fixing plates are then bent upward to form a movable plate, the movable plate has the strap hole on the free side and a fastening portion protruding on the other side, the fastening portion having a positioning hole through which the protrusion on the top surface of the preset mating connector can be fastened and fixed.

The structure of the electrical connector as described in claim 7, wherein the shielding housing is provided with limiting holes at the bends on both sides of the frame for positioning the two cantilever arms of the unlocking member, and the frame is provided with shaft grooves on the bottom side of the two bends for positioning the two shaft portions of the unlocking member.

9. The structure of the electrical connector as described in claim 1, wherein the frame of the shielding housing is provided with positioning grooves on both sides that abut against the assembly of the terminal block to form positioning retaining springs.

The structure of the electrical connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the body of the unlocking member has two upwardly protruding support portions adjacent to the two cantilever arms, and the two pushing portions are formed by bending the free ends of the two cantilever arms toward opposite inward sides.
