Abstract

A mounting module is suitable for securing an expansion card to a chassis. The mounting module includes a support frame and a mounting assembly. The support frame includes opposing first and second sides and a first fixing portion. The first side is disposed on the chassis, and the first fixing portion is located on the second side and has a first through hole. The mounting assembly includes a fixing member, a sliding member, and a first fastener. The fixing member is disposed on the expansion card. The sliding member is movably disposed on the fixing member and includes a second fixing portion having a second through hole. When the sliding member slides relative to the fixing member so that the second through hole aligns with the first through hole, the first fastener is adapted to sequentially pass through the second through hole and the first through hole to secure the expansion card. A chassis for an electronic device is also mentioned.

Claims

1. A mounting module adapted to mount an expansion card to a chassis, the expansion card including a front end and a rear end opposite each other, a body of the chassis including a first sidewall and a second sidewall connected to each other, the front end adapted to be connected to the first sidewall, the rear end adapted to be coupled to the second sidewall, the mounting module comprising: A support frame includes a first side and a second side opposite to each other and a first fixing part, the first side being disposed on the second sidewall, and the first fixing part being located on the second side and having at least one first through hole extending along a first direction. And a fixing component, including: a fixing member disposed at the tail end; A slider is movably disposed on the fixing member along a second direction and includes a second fixing portion having at least one second through hole extending along the first direction; and at least one first fastener adapted to pass through the at least one first through hole and the at least one second through hole, wherein when the slider slides relative to the fixing member along the second direction so that the at least one second through hole corresponds to the at least one first through hole, the at least one first fastener is adapted to sequentially pass through the at least one second through hole and the at least one first through hole to fix the tail end.

2. The fixing module as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fixing component further includes a gasket disposed between the fixing member and the sliding member.

3. The fixing module as claimed in claim 2, wherein the fixing component further includes a stop member movably disposed on the slider and adapted to abut against the gasket.

4. The fixing module as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fixing component further includes at least one second fastener adapted to be disposed at the tail end by means of the at least one second fastener.

5. The fixing module as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fixing member includes at least one limiting member that restricts the sliding member from moving along a direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction.

6. The fixing module as claimed in claim 5, wherein the slider has a groove, a portion of the at least one limiting member is located within the groove, the groove extending along the second direction.

7. The fixing module as claimed in claim 1 further includes at least two metal pillars, wherein one side of each metal pillar is adapted to be fixed to the support frame and the other side is adapted to provide a circuit board mounting.

8. The fixing module as claimed in claim 1, wherein the number of the at least one first perforation is multiple, and the first perforations are arranged along a third direction, the third direction being perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction.

9. A chassis for an electronic device, adapted to hold an expansion card, the expansion card including an opposing front end and a rear end, the chassis comprising: A body includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall connected to each other, the front end being adapted to be connected to the first sidewall and the rear end being adapted to be coupled to the second sidewall; The device also includes a fixing module, comprising: a support frame including a first side and a second side opposite to each other and a first fixing portion, the first side being disposed on the second sidewall, the first fixing portion being located on the second side and having at least one first through hole extending along a first direction; and a fixing assembly, comprising: a fixing member disposed at the tail end; a sliding member movably disposed on the fixing member along a second direction and including a second fixing portion, the second fixing portion having at least one second through hole extending along the first direction; and at least one first fastener adapted to pass through the at least one first through hole and the at least one second through hole, wherein when the sliding member slides relative to the fixing member along the second direction so that the at least one second through hole corresponds to the at least one first through hole, the at least one first fastener is adapted to sequentially pass through the at least one second through hole and the at least one first through hole to fix the tail end.

10. The chassis as claimed in claim 9, wherein the fixing component further includes a gasket disposed between the fixing member and the sliding member.

11. The chassis as claimed in claim 10, wherein the fixing component further includes a stop member movably disposed on the slide member and adapted to abut against the gasket.

12. The chassis as claimed in claim 9, wherein the fixing component further includes at least one second fastener adapted to be disposed at the tail end by means of the at least one second fastener.

13. The chassis as claimed in claim 9, wherein the fixing member includes at least one limiting member that restricts the sliding member from moving along a direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction.

14. The chassis as claimed in claim 13, wherein the slider has a groove, a portion of the at least one limiting member is located within the groove, the groove extending along the second direction.

15. The chassis as claimed in claim 9 further includes at least two metal pillars, wherein one side of each metal pillar is adapted to secure the support frame to the second sidewall and the other side is adapted to provide a circuit board mounting.

16. The chassis as claimed in claim 9, wherein the number of the at least one first perforation is plurality of, and the first perforations are arranged along a third direction, the third direction being perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction.
