Abstract

A composite material structure is disclosed, suitable for manufacturing pipelines or containers for storing or transporting chemical materials. The composite material structure includes a substrate and a protective unit. The substrate is made of stainless steel, and the protective unit is formed on the surface of the substrate, comprising a first protective layer, a second protective layer, and a third protective layer sequentially stacked from the surface of the substrate. The thickness of the protective unit is not less than 70 angstroms, and the first protective layer is made of chromium oxide, while the second and third protective layers are made of iron(III) oxide and iron(II) oxide, respectively. By forming multiple protective layers on the surface of the stainless steel substrate, the leaching of metal ions from the stainless steel by chemical materials can be effectively prevented, resulting in better material stability and thus allowing for wider application in the manufacture of pipelines or containers for storing or transporting chemical materials.

Claims

1. A composite material structure comprising: a substrate selected from stainless steel pipe, stainless steel container, and stainless steel sheet; and a protective unit formed on the surface of the substrate, comprising a first protective layer, a second protective layer, and a third protective layer sequentially stacked from the surface of the substrate, wherein, The thickness of the protective unit is not less than 70 angstroms. The first protective layer is made of chromium oxide, and the second and third protective layers are made of iron(III) oxide and iron(II) oxide, respectively.

2. The composite material structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein the thickness of the first protective layer is between 2 and 5 nanometers.

3. The composite material structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein the thickness of the second protective layer is between 3 and 6 nanometers.

4. The composite material structure as claimed in claim 1, wherein the thickness of the third protective layer is between 5 and 10 nanometers.

5. The composite material structure as described in claim 1, wherein, The surface roughness of the composite material structure is no greater than 0.2 μm.
