Abstract

This invention relates to an electrical connector. When a digital video interface electrical connector is inserted into a socket, it can be pushed against the holding part of a pusher element. The pusher element moves backward, causing an elastic element located in a groove to collapse and simultaneously pushing the front end of the upper contact part of a second shielding shell and the lower spring of a first shielding shell outward. This allows the lower and upper stops of the pusher element to perfectly avoid the second stop and the protrusion of the first shielding shell. The pusher element is then guided backward by a limiting part along a guide part of a gel to a position. When the high-definition multimedia interface electrical connector is inserted in reverse, it will hold the lower stop but will not hold the lower and upper springs, preventing the pusher element from moving backward and achieving a foolproof mechanism. At the same time, the upper and lower limiting parts of the first shielding shell are respectively equipped with a protrusion, a first stop, and a thick-walled part, achieving the advantages of stability and durability.

Claims

1. An electrical connector, comprising: A pushing element includes a lower stop, a supporting portion extending from one side of the lower stop, an upper stop formed on the supporting portion, and a limiting portion extending from the side of the supporting portion that is different from the upper and lower stops; a gel includes a guide portion for being covered by the limiting portion and a groove on the guide portion; an elastic element has one end connected to the bottom surface of the groove and the other end connected to the inner surface of the supporting portion; A first shielding housing covers the colloid. The first shielding housing includes a socket for inserting a digital video interface connector or a high-definition multimedia interface connector, an upper limiting portion near the socket, a lower limiting portion opposite to the upper limiting portion, and a lower spring piece on one side of the lower limiting portion. 2. The electrical connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the adhesive body has a guide extending toward the insertion port to limit the range of motion of the lower stop.

3. The electrical connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the position of the push element is outside the range of the high-definition multimedia interface electrical connector when it is properly inserted.

4. The electrical connector as described in claim 1, wherein the lower stop is positioned within the range of the high-definition multimedia interface electrical connector when it is reverse-inserted.

5. The electrical connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front end of the lower spring is closer to the insertion port than the second stop.

6. The electrical connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the upper stop is closer to the insertion port than the front abutment portion.

7. The electrical connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first shielding housing has a track portion.

8. The electrical connector as claimed in claim 7, wherein the limiting portion has a limiting guide portion movably disposed on the track portion.

9. The electrical connector as claimed in claim 7, wherein one side of the abutting portion has an abutting guide movably disposed on the track portion.
