Abstract

This invention relates to a folding knife with a magnetic positioning mechanism and a spring-loaded rod, comprising a handle, a blade, a spring-loaded rod, a locking part, a first magnetic attractor, and a second magnetic attractor. The handle is equipped with the first magnetic attractor, while the blade is equipped with a recess and the second magnetic attractor. The blade is pivotally connected to the handle, and the spring-loaded rod can be fixed inside the handle. When the blade is fully retracted into the handle, the locking part prevents the blade from rotating outward. When the locking part is pressed, it disengages from the recess wall, allowing the blade to be pushed by the spring-loaded rod and rotate out of the handle. When the blade rotates to an open operating state, the first and second magnetic attractors attract and position each other to prevent the blade from rebounding.

Claims

1. A folding knife with a magnetic positioning mechanism and an elastic rod body, comprising: A knife handle, comprising at least a first plate and a second plate, wherein the first plate has a recessed groove on its inner side, and the second plate has a through hole corresponding to the groove; a knife body, located between the first plate and the second plate, having a pivot end and a tip, the pivot end being pivotally connected to a position adjacent to one end of the knife handle, allowing the knife body to be rotated out of the knife handle along its pivot position, or rotated and retracted into the knife handle, the knife body also having a clearance groove, which corresponds to the position of the recess when the knife body is fully retracted into the knife handle; a spring rod, one end of which is positioned within the knife handle near the other end, and the other end extending to a position near the pivot point between the knife handle and the knife body, wherein when the knife body is fully retracted into the knife handle, the spring rod abuts against the knife body and generates a torque on the knife body to rotate outward from the knife handle; and a locking part, comprising: A locking pin, comprising at least a pressing unit, a limiting unit, a yielding unit, and a locking unit from one end to the other, wherein the pressing unit can extend into the through hole from the inside of the second plate and protrude outwards; the maximum lateral length of the limiting unit is greater than the diameter of the through hole, preventing the locking pin from detaching from the through hole; the maximum lateral length of the yielding unit is less than the maximum lateral length of the locking unit; and the locking unit can extend into the groove; and an elastic element located within the groove and capable of pushing the locking unit to move away from the groove; a first magnetic attractor disposed on either the first plate or the second plate; and a second magnetic attractor disposed on the blade body. When the blade body is rotated outside the handle and in an operational unfolded state, the second magnetic attractor will correspond to the first magnetic attractor, and the two will attract each other through magnetic force to prevent the blade body from rebounding due to the reaction force. When the blade is fully retracted into the handle and the pressing unit is not pressed, the elastic element pushes the locking unit, causing the locking unit to abut against the outer edge of the blade, preventing the blade from rotating outward. When the pressing unit is pressed, the locking unit disengages from the blade and no longer abuts against the outer edge of the blade, allowing the blade to be pushed by the elastic rod and rotate out of the handle until the first magnetic attractor and the second magnetic attractor attract each other. During the outward rotation of the blade, part of its outer edge will pass through the area corresponding to the groove.

2. The folding knife as described in claim 1, wherein, Of the first magnetic attractor and the second magnetic attractor, at least one is a magnet, and the other is a magnet or made of a magnetic material that can be attracted by a magnet.

3. The folding knife as described in claim 1, wherein, The first plate or the second plate is provided with a first positioning groove for accommodating the first magnetic attractor; the blade is provided with a second positioning groove for accommodating the second magnetic attractor.

4. The folding knife as described in claim 1, wherein, When the blade is fully retracted into the handle and the pressing unit is not pressed, the locking unit extends into the relief groove and abuts against the groove wall. When the pressing unit is pressed, the locking unit disengages from the relief groove, leaving only the relief unit in the relief groove. When the blade is rotated out of the handle along its pivot position, the blade will not touch the relief unit.

5. The folding knife as described in claim 4, wherein, The area of the insert unit near the yielding unit has a longitudinal section that is at least trapezoidal, and its maximum transverse length is greater than the length between any two opposite walls of the yielding slot.

6. The folding knife as described in claim 1, wherein, The blade body is provided with a locking groove, which is formed by the inward recess of the other side edge of the blade body. When the blade body is completely rotated outside the handle and the pressing unit is not pressed, the elastic element will push the locking unit, so that the locking unit can abut against the groove wall of the locking groove, so that the blade body is blocked by the locking unit and cannot rotate inward.

7. The folding knife as described in claim 6, wherein, The first plate has a protruding stop post on its inner side, and the blade has a recessed stop groove near the slot. When the blade is completely rotated outside the handle, the stop post can extend into the stop groove and abut against the groove wall.
