Tongue positioning braces

Abstract

A tongue positioning brace includes: a brace body and a tongue positioning pad disposed on the lingual side of the brace body and protruding posteriorly from the lingual side. The tongue positioning pad has a support surface for placing and positioning the user's tongue. In this way, the tongue positioning pad can inhibit tongue retraction, thereby improving snoring or sleep apnea problems caused by tongue obstruction of the airway.

Claims

1. A tongue positioning brace, comprising: a brace body and a tongue positioning pad disposed on the lingual side of the brace body and protruding posteriorly from the lingual side, the tongue positioning pad having a support surface for placing and positioning the user's tongue.

2. The tongue positioning brace of claim 1, wherein the tongue positioning pad is an elliptical plate with a rearwardly protruding rear edge.

3. The tongue positioning brace of claim 1, wherein the brace body has a breathing hole connecting the labial side and the lingual side of the brace body, and the tongue positioning pad is located below the breathing hole.

4. The tongue positioning brace of claim 1, wherein the brace body and the tongue positioning pad are integrally formed and made of the same material.

5. The tongue positioning brace of claim 1, wherein the supporting surface has a non-slip structure.

6. The tongue positioning brace of claim 1, wherein the supporting surface is a curved surface that conforms to the tongue.
