Counterweight rotary arm air shield

Abstract

A counterweight rotary arm hood mainly comprises a column fixed to the ground and a telescopic shaft along the column. A movable bearing seat is provided on the shaft, allowing it to move up and down, for connecting a freely rotatable swing arm assembly. A hood is located at the end of the swing arm assembly. Inside the column is a freely movable counterweight, which is connected to the swing arm assembly via a steel cable and pulley system. A rotating shaft assembly is provided on the swing arm assembly, allowing it to be positioned arbitrarily within an arc-shaped area with an angle of approximately 180° in the horizontal direction. Thus, during vertical adjustment, the steel cable connecting to the external pulley system balances the weight of the hood during vertical movement, achieving simple and labor-saving height adjustment. Furthermore, the arbitrarily horizontal positioning of the swing arm assembly overcomes interference from machine or equipment configurations or the space required for maintenance operations, ensuring close proximity to the source of pollutants, thereby improving system capture efficiency and reducing required airflow.
