Abstract

A microcapsule sphere structure is disclosed, comprising a sphere body including a core and a coating layer. The core is composed of an inner phase solution comprising deionized water and glycerol, sodium hyaluronate, emulsifier, preservative, and active ingredient dissolved or dispersed in the deionized water. The coating layer, covering the core, is formed by an outer phase solution undergoing an ionic cross-linking reaction with at least one cross-linking agent. The outer phase solution comprises deionized water and sodium alginate, hydroxyethyl cellulose, glycerol, and preservative dissolved in the deionized water. Furthermore, the surface of the coating layer is treated with a chelating agent solution to reduce the ionic cross-linking density of the coating layer and remove residual cross-linking agent, giving the microcapsule sphere a stable structure that protects the active ingredient and allows it to easily rupture and release the active ingredient under external shear force.
