Abstract

This invention relates to an insect-proof structure for a drainage ditch cover, comprising a drainage base and two cover plates. The drainage base has an upper plate and a base. The upper plate has a retaining portion around its perimeter and a rectangular perforated portion in the center. The base, located below the perforated portion, has two vertical plates and a bottom plate. The two vertical plates are arranged parallel to each other and their tops are connected to the side edge of the perforated portion. The bottom plate is horizontally connected to the lower part of the two vertical plates and has a plurality of through holes. The width of the cover plates approximately corresponds to the distance between the two vertical plates. The top of the cover plates is pivotally connected to the side of the drainage base, allowing the two cover plates to cover the two sides of the base. This allows the base, consisting of the two vertical plates, the bottom plate, and the two cover plates, to form a chamber that can block insects. Thus, this invention can prevent insects and also provide smooth drainage.

Claims

1. An insect-proof structure for a drain cover, comprising: A drainage seat has an upper plate and a base. The upper plate has a backing portion around its perimeter and a rectangular perforated portion in the center. The base is located below the perforated portion and has two upright plates and a bottom plate. The two upright plates are arranged in parallel and their tops are connected to the side edge of the perforated portion. The bottom plate is horizontally connected to the bottom of the two upright plates and has a plurality of through holes. Two cover plates, with a width approximately corresponding to the distance between the two upright plates, are pivotally connected to the side of the drainage seat at the top and can cover the two sides of the base, so that the base can form a chamber that can block insects from entering through the two upright plates, the bottom plate, and the two cover plates.

2. The insect-proof structure of the drain cover as described in claim 1, wherein a counterweight is provided on the cover plate.

3. The insect-proof structure of the drain cover as described in claim 1, wherein the upright plate is trapezoidal, with the top width being smaller than the bottom width, and has sloping edges on both sides that can abut against the cover plate.

4. The insect-proof structure of the drain cover as described in claim 1, wherein the upright plate is provided with a first pivot portion on both sides of the top; and the cover plate is provided with a second pivot portion on the top, and the cover plate can be pivotally mounted on the drain seat by a pivot rod passing through the first pivot portion and the second pivot portion.
