Abstract
Invention relates to methods for determining pathogenic microorganisms, in particular such common ones as Salmonella and Staphylococci, in various objects and can be used for bacteriological quality control of food products in terms of determining possible contamination of their microorganisms, for detecting pathogens during environmental monitoring, control of biotechnological processes, etc. The method for determining the content of bacteria of the genera Salmonella and / or Staphylococcus in biotechnological production and environmental monitoring in the analysis of samples of biotechnological culture media, water samples from natural reservoirs, samples of water extracts of soils for the presence of contamination by bacteria of the specified genera includes sowing the prepared sample on an appropriate selective solid nutrient medium containing a chromogenic substrate, incubation in conditions favorable for the pathogen until a biosensor response is obtained and its assessment (change and / or color intensity) by changing the optical characteristics of the sample. The process is carried out in the presence of gold nanoparticles with an average size of 30 nm, which are introduced into the nutrient medium in an amount of 1.0-4.0 μg / ml (by metal). To determine Salmonella bacteria, incubation is carried out on bismuth-sulfite agar at 35-37 °C, and Staphylococcus bacteria - on yolk-salt agar at 37 °C.
