Abstract

The invention relates to plasma engineering and plasma technologies, in particular to pulsed plasma accelerators, and can be used in plasma ring acceleration systems in the air environment. The linear pulsed inductive accelerator consists of a coaxially mounted fixed inductor (1) and a movable armature (2), located opposite the outer end face of the inductor (1a). The inductor (1) is made in the form of a disk spiral, to the inner (1b) and outer (1c) turns of which electrodes are connected; the inductor is connected via a discharger (3) to a high-voltage capacitive energy storage device (4). The armature (2) is a flat disk of three connected layers: the first layer (2a) is an electrically conductive foil with a thickness less than the thickness of the skin layer; the second layer (2b) is an insulating plate; the third layer (2c) is an electrically conductive disk with a thickness greater than the thickness of the skin layer. The technical result of the invention is the formation of a plasma ring directly during the discharge process due to the transition of the foil layer (2a) into the plasma state and the joint linear acceleration of the plasma and the armature over a significant distance due to the electrodynamic repulsion force between the magnetic field of the inductor and the eddy current in the layer (2c).
