Abstract
Cathode-ray oscilloscope contains a cathode-ray tube with the following components arranged in series along its axis: a cathode with a heater, a modulator, an accelerating electrode, a focusing electrostatic lens, a deflection system, a post-acceleration system, and a phosphor screen. The accelerating electrode, located between the modulator and the focusing electrostatic lens, is divided into two coaxially arranged electrode sections that are electrically isolated from one another, forming an axial interelectrode gap. The first part of the accelerating electrode contains the diaphragm of the electron beam shaping system and the first cylinder. The second part contains the second cylinder and the cutting diaphragm. The first part is designed so that a positive electrical potential can be applied to it relative to the second part.
