THREADED CONNECTION OF OIL INDUSTRY PIPES

Abstract

The threaded connection of oilfield pipes includes a pipe with an end and a coupling with a stop conical thread with a taper of 1:16 and a profile angle of 12°-14°. The profile of the stop conical thread has the form of an isosceles trapezoid with a stop face. The coupling has a cylindrical bore and a cylindrical-shaped stop element located in the middle part of the coupling between the stop conical thread and the cylindrical bore. The pipe contacts the end with the stop element of the coupling. The diameter of the inner cylindrical bore of the coupling corresponds to the inner diameter of the pipe and forms a stepless transition along the inner diameter of the connection. The pipe end and the stop element of the coupling are located at right angles to the axis of the pipe.
