METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A V-SHAPED SPRING OF A SPRING COUPLING

Abstract

The method of manufacturing a V-shaped spring of an elastic coupling includes forming a complex spring profile using a die and a punch. A blank for a V-shaped spring in the form of a spring steel plate with a thickness of δ, a width of b, a length of L, heat-treated by known methods to obtain plastic deformations, is fixed on a die, and, by simultaneously rotating the punches, the shape of a V-shaped spring is formed. After that, by returning the punches to their original position, the finished V-shaped spring is dismantled and heat-treated by known methods to acquire elastic properties. The blank is made with a length of L=2l1+2+(dp+δ), where l1 is the length of the radial straight sections of the V-shaped spring. dp is the diameter of the circular transition section of the V-shaped spring.
