Method for preparing N2-(4-ethylphenyl)-N4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-6-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine hydrochloride, which exhibits antiviral activity against Rhinovirus strain HGP: , wherein a mixture of equimolar amounts of 4-chloro-N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-6-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)-1,3,5-triazin-2-amine and para-ethylaniline is refluxed with stirring for two hours in acetone, after which it is cooled, and the precipitate is filtered off, dried, and recrystallized from propan-2-ol.
