Abstract
Modified dental implant with internal cavity for drug delivery consists of a neck and an intraosseous part. The neck has an inlet opening at its apex, which features internal abutment threads, while the intraosseous part has external threads. Implant is made of zirconia in a combined cylindrical-conical shape with an internal cavity for drug delivery, in which the neck is cylindrical, which transitions into a perforated, conical, hollow lower section, equipped with turns of external threads and a connecting central opening between the neck’s inlet opening with internal abutment threads and the perforated conical lower section, forming an internal cavity for drug delivery, and additionally features perforated transverse holes formed in special recesses between the turns of external thread of the conical portion on all four sides, which are connected to the internal cavity of the central vertical opening and create an increased area for osseointegration.
