Single-crystal cds screen with a spectrally graded cds1?xsex cathodoluminescent layer

Abstract

Single-crystal CdS screen with a spectrally graded CdS₁₋XSeX cathodoluminescent layer consists of a thermally conductive, electrically insulating single-crystal substrate, a single-crystal cathodoluminescent layer, and a current-conducting mirror coating. Wherein, a CdS single crystal is used as the substrate, and the cathodoluminescent layer is formed as a single-crystal layer of the CdS1-XSeX solid solution, grown on the substrate by epitaxy and having a composition that varies with thickness. Wherein, in the region near the substrate surface, the solid solution has a wider bandgap, while in the region near the conductive coating surface, it has a narrower bandgap.
