AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing dishwashers face issues with water flowing into the distribution motor of the distribution device, potentially causing fires or damaging the device, and require an improved assembly of the distribution device's switch.

Method used

A dish washer with a sump assembly that includes a sump housing with a distribution chamber, a distribution disk, a distribution motor, and a connecting shaft. The connecting shaft has a guide body to direct leaking water outside, preventing it from reaching the distribution motor. Additionally, the switch is designed to detect the rotation position of the connecting shaft, enhancing assembly efficiency.

Benefits of technology

The solution reduces the size of the sump assembly, improves distribution efficiency, secures stability by preventing water from entering the distribution motor, and simplifies the assembly of the distribution device's switch.

Abstract

A dish washer comprising: a tub forming a washing chamber; a plurality of spray rotors spraying water into the washing chamber; and a sump assembly. The sump assembly comprises: a sum housing including a distribution chamber to accommodate water which is provided to the plurality of spray rotors; a distribution disk, positionable in the distribution chamber, to provide the water accommodated in the distribution chamber to at least one of the plurality of spray rotors; a distribution motor generating rotational force to rotate the distribution disk; and a connecting shaft to transmit the rotational force of the distribution motor to the distribution disk and guide water leaking from the distribution chamber to outside of the connecting shaft.
