Abstract
Description
FIELD OF APPLICATION
[0001] The present invention belongs to the field of mechanical and nautical engineering, as well as architecture, more specifically to reservoirs, tanks, swimming pools, bathtubs and the like, intended for use on vessels.INTRODUCTION
[0002] The present invention relates to a submersible stern platform provided with recreation device, concealable in a pivoting manner, with backrests abutments and a removable gate for positioning the feet, with a sliding backrest option.FUNDAMENTALS
[0003] Submersible stern platforms are widely used on vessels for various purposes, including assisting the water entry and exit, forming small bathing platforms, using cooking equipment, assisting the launching, collecting or lifting accessories, diving tanks and even other smaller vessels, among other applications.
[0004] As swimming pools and other recreational and leisure elements are also very appreciated on vessels, especially on speedboats, yachts and the like, there are several devices and systems that form reservoirs to be filled with water.
[0005] These devices can be inflatable or fixed, but they are always part of an additional device that either requires a relatively high effort to be assembled; and / or needs complex movement and concealment systems.PRIOR ART
[0006] Examples of solutions of this nature are described, for example, by patent document U.S. Pat. No. 10,017,235 B2, entitled “Retractable boat extension”, which discloses, according to the abstract, a platform that can be coupled and that provides additional space for transporting items or for use for rest. The platform includes a sliding mechanism having an actuator for sliding relative to the boat, pedestal supports for fixing a plurality of accessories such as grills, fishing chairs and food preparation tables. An external motor support is configured to receive a variety of external motors, including but not limited to fishing motors, and a mounting bracket configured to receive a front ramp for the access of disabled people to the boat.
[0007] The solution proposed by U.S. Pat. No. 10,017,235 B2 discloses a platform that can be coupled and that includes a sliding mechanism, but does not provide a submersible stern platform provided with recreation device, concealable in a pivoting manner, with backrest abutments and a removable gate for positioning the feet, also with a sliding backrest option. Therefore, document U.S. Pat. No. 10,017,235 B2 does not have a robust submersible stern platform solution, but rather a boat extension to couple several accessories, without a backrest around the platform, which does not provide adequate comfort to the user.
[0008] Another relevant prior art document Is document PCT / BR2019 / 050346, entitled “Submersible stern platform provided with openings for recreation”, which discloses a submersible stern platform provided with openings for recreation, comprising an opening, one or more secondary openings preferably arranged along the vicinity of the opening, the opening being reversibly closed by a gate and the secondary openings being reversibly closed by one or more secondary gates.
[0009] The solution proposed by PCT / BR2019 / 050346 discloses a platform with secondary openings and gates, but does not provide a submersible stern platform provided with recreation device, concealable in a pivoting manner, with backrest abutments and a removable gate for positioning the feet, also with a sliding backrest option. Therefore, document PCT / BR2019 / 050346 does not have a solution for a robust platform, with a comfortable backrest, that provides an easy attachment for the user and is easy to maintain, since the backrest of BR2019 / 050346 is attached and detached with each use.
[0010] Another relevant prior art document is the one of number US20200385089 A1, entitled “Walk-on aft deck and extendable swim platform system and method”, which discloses a system, apparatus and method comprising a walk-on aft deck and an extendable swim platform. The walk-on aft deck includes an extended support platform, which may include gunwales, extending from the stern of the boat between engines of the boat, and extends beyond an aftermost surface of the engines in order to protect the engines from impact. The extendable swim platform extends afterward from the extended support platform, is actuatuated and retractable, and does not act as a running surface when the boat moves forward, but acts as a planing surface when the boat moves in reverse allowing high reverse speeds. The extendable swim platform includes angled non-slap surfaces.
[0011] The solution proposed by document US20200385089 discloses a platform with secondary openings and gates, but does not provide a platform comprising recreation device, concealable in a pivoting manner, with backrest abutments and a removable gate for positioning the feet, also with a sliding backrest option.
[0012] Document U.S. Pat. No. 9,278,731 B1, entitled “Inflatable boat stern platform device” discloses an inflatable boat platform flotation device having a “T” or “U” shaped opening in the front surface that receives the motor(s) and wraps around the motor(s) and sides of a boat, allowing the front surface to engage the stern and the side surfaces forming the opening at the front surface to engage the sides of the boat near the stern, such that the platform rests against the boat in a manner that shields the propeller(s) from ropes, debris, hands and feet, providing a platform for passengers outside the boat. The platform has top and bottom surfaces that are connected by stitched polyester fibers (“SPF”) that hold the surfaces together and determine the platform's thickness when inflated and keep the surfaces uniform and rigid when the platform is inflated. The upper surface includes at least one ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) pad. The platform further includes a plurality of handles, at least one inflation and deflation valve, and a plurality of D-rings for securing the platform to a boat and tethering other platforms or tethering another watercraft to the platform.
[0013] Patent document U.S. Pat. No. 8,375,880 B1, entitled “retractable step for boat swim platform”, refers to a retractable step for use with a boat in the water comprising at least one movable arm pivotally coupled to the boat, a step coupled to the arm so that the step is movable between a stored position above the water surface and a deployed position below the water surface, and a lock configured to hold the movable arm in a stationary position when the step is in its deployed position, but is releasable to accommodate the movement of the step to its stored position.
[0014] As can be inferred from the previous descriptions, there is space for a submersible stern platform provided with recreation device, concealable in a pivoting manner, with backrest abutments and a removable gate for positioning of the feet, also with a sliding backrest option.
[0015] It is clear that the previous solutions do not have a robust solution, with a pivoting platform, with backrests that provide greater comfort to the user and ease of use. It is also noted that the previous solutions have as a common limitation the presence of attachment and / or accessory assemblies, known for their fragility and for being laborious and costly to assemble.OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

[0049] A submersible stern platform (100) or simply platform (100), comprising recreation device (200), according to the invention, comprises at least one recess (110) in which the recreation device (200) is arranged, pivoting from a recess (110) between an initial or closed position and a final or open position.
[0050] The recess (110) of the platform (100) comprises a bottom wall (111), two side walls (112) and a lower wall (114), wherein the recess (110) can be arranged in any position on the platform (100), preferably being arranged on the free vertical faces (three free sides) of the platform (100) and, more preferably, on the rear face of the platform (100).
[0051] Additionally, the recess (110) may have any shape suitable and adaptable to the geometry of the vessel for which it is intended, but being preferably polygonal, wherein the platform (100) may be used in small, medium and large vessels. It should be noted that the recess (110) can be opened either at its upper part or at its lower part, or at both.
[0052] Furthermore, the recess (110) and the recreation device (200) must have appropriate and consistent dimensions with the dimensions of the platform (100).
[0053] The recreation device (200) comprises a plurality of fixing hinges (210), a plurality of backrest elements (220), a seating region (230) and a opening (241) for the feet, wherein the recreation device (200) may be used on platforms of small, medium and large proportion vessels.
[0054] Additionally, the recreation device (200) may have any shape, and may be, but is not limited to, square, polygonal, round, oval, oblong, and the like.
[0055] It should be noted that the recreation device (200) may also assume any intermediate position other than the extreme positions, depending on its construction form, dimensions, type of design and other construction possibilities and / or limitations.
[0056] The hinges (210) of the recreation device (200) allow the fixing and the performing of the opening and closing movements of the recreation device (200) on the platform (100).
[0057] It should be noted that there may be used hinges of type: common, strap, spring, hidden, overlapping, butterfly, shifted or any type of hinge in the recreation device (200), as long as it allows the pivoting movement of said recreation device (200).
[0058] The backrest elements (220) of the recreation device (200) are preferably walls of the recreation device (200) that carry out the function of shoulder blade support for the user's (400) back, the height of the backrest elements (220) being proportional to the height of the platform (100) for which it is intended, however this not a limiting condition, and the backrest elements (220) and thus the recreation device (200) may have a lower and even upper height than the platform (100) height.
[0059] The seating region (230) of the recreation device (200) is the region of the recreation device (200) that serves as a seat support for the user (400), providing a stable and reliable surface for the user (400), even in high seas.

[0061] Alternatively, the recreation device (200) may comprise at least one gate (240), which may be shifted, slid, pivoted, or removed, to provide at least one opening (241). Said gate (240) allows the opening of the central part of the seating region (230), fulfilling the function of providing an opening (241) for the feet of a user (400), and may have any shape, and may be, without limitation, polygonal, round, oval, oblong and the like, preferably having the polygonal shape. It is also possible to add a mechanism (not illustrated) to the opening (241) that enables the footrest of the user (400).
[0062] An alternative form, but non-limiting, of the present invention, is the assembly of a recreation device (200) set concealable in a pivoting manner with a sliding backrest (300).
[0063] The sliding backrest (300) comprises a front region (310), a plurality of backrest elements (320) and one or more protrusions (350), wherein the sliding backrest (300) can be used in small, medium and large proportion vessels.
[0064] The sliding backrest (300) of the present set may have any shape, and may be, without limitation, square, polygonal, round, oval, oblong and the like.
[0065] It should be noted that the backrest elements (220) may have an elongated height, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 5. In this case, the use of the sliding backrest (300) could be dispensed with.
[0066] The front region (310) gives support to maintain the sliding backrest (300) attached to the platform (100) at the moment when the sliding backrest (300) is in its closed position. The front region (310) of the sliding backrest (300) remains entirely inserted into the platform recess (100) when it is in the closed position.
[0067] Additionally, the bottom wall (111) and the side walls (112) of the recess (110) remain in contact with the front region (310), acting as a lock for the sliding backrest (300), retaining its unwanted vertical, lateral and rotational movements.
[0068] It should be noted that, depending on the configurations and dimensions of the sliding backrest (300) and the recreation device (200), the front region (310) may present a lowered configuration in order to allow a corresponding attachment between the sliding backrest (300) and the recreation device (200).
[0069] The backrest elements (320) of the sliding backrest (300) carry out the function of complementary shoulder blade support for the user's (400) back, the height of the backrest elements (320) being proportional to the height of the platform (100) for which it is intended, however this is not a limiting condition, and the backrest elements (320) and thus the sliding backrest (300) may have a lower and even upper height than the platform (100) height.
[0070] In an alternative embodiment, the base rails (115) fixed to the lower wall (114) of the recess (110) provide the sliding of the sliding backrest (300) on the platform (100). A plurality of straight guides (311) are fixed to the lower part of the front region (310) of the sliding backrest (300), and run between the base rails (115), which have the shape of a straight line.
[0071] Alternatively, a plurality of one-piece wheel guides (312), or a plurality of individual wheel guides (313) are fixed to the lower part of the front region (310).
[0072] In another alternative embodiment, the sliding backrest (300) performs the sliding on the platform (100) through a plurality of rails (120), wherein the rails have the shape of a straight line. Protrusions (350) are fixed to the rails (120), project outwards and perform the fixing of the sliding backrest (300) to the rails (120). The protrusions (350) also perform the limiters function both when opening and closing the sliding backrest (300).
[0073] The protrusions (350) of the sliding backrest (300) have suitable dimensions and geometries for attaching and sliding on the rails (120), so as to allow the recreation device (200) to shift between the closed and open positions.
[0074] In an alternative embodiment, the rails (120) of the platform (100) have a descending shape and comprise a plurality of straight portions (121) and at least one inclined portion (122), wherein the inclined portion (122) is interspersed between the straight portions (121).
[0075] When the sliding backrest (300) makes the sliding concealable movement with the protrusions (350) passing by the inclined portion (122), its movement will be in the inclined direction. And when the sliding backrest (300) makes the sliding concealable movement with the protrusions (350) passing by the straight portions (121), its movement will be in the horizontal orientation.
[0076] In another alternative embodiment, the opening of the set on the platform is made first by the recreation device (200) concealable in a pivoting manner, wherein the hinges (210) allow the fixing and the performing of the opening movement. Subsequently, the sliding backrest (300) is performed, wherein the protrusions (350) allow this movement.
[0077] Preferably, the sliding backrest (300) has a shape corresponding to the recreation device (200) to enable correct assembly of the set.
[0078] It should be noted that the recreation device (200) may also include complementary elements, such as gates, drains, grids, screens or a combination of these possibilities, according to the desired application.
[0079] Furthermore, preferably, the recreation device (200) has greater dimensions than the dimensions of the sliding backrest (300), so that the recreation device (200) can completely surround the sliding backrest (300).
[0080] The positional combinations provide recreation device (200) set concealable in a pivoting manner with sliding backrest (300) capable of serving as seat or recreation location, with or without water. Depending on the position of the set in water, given its variable volume, the set can serve as a small beach, swimming pool, bathtub, opening for fishing, water collection, and other possibilities.
[0081] The sliding and pivoting movements of the recreation device (200) and the sliding backrest (300) are possible by means of any suitable traction device. Suitable traction devices are, but are not limited to, manual traction, gears, spindles, levers, ratchets and the like, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic motors, gravitational systems, capillary and / or communicating vase systems and any others that are suitable for the vessel and the conditions of use and application, isolated or eventually in combination.
[0082] Being hollow or solid, with air filling, or combined, the recreation device (200), the sliding backrest (300), the backrest elements (220) and the seating region (230) elements of the platform (100) may have built-in pipes and wiring, enabling the direct internal or indirect external installation of pumps and nozzles for hydromassage, lighting, massagers, heating, cooling, etc.
[0083] Furthermore, it should be noted that the backrest (300) can also be moved through a pivoting configuration, in addition to being capable of being attached to the recreation device (200) in order to increase the backrest height for the user (400).
[0084] It is important to note that, depending on the intended application, the platform elements may require seals between their walls and contact and / or sliding / pivoting surfaces.ADDITIONAL BENEFITS AND DESCRIPTIONS
