FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present technology relates generally to furniture, and, more particularly, to replaceable chair covers.INTRODUCTION

[0002] Furniture plays a large part of most people's lives. Typically, people may own items of furniture including sofas, tables, dressers, and chairs.

[0003] While many items of furniture are designed for permanent placement within one's home, many items of furniture are designed to be portable. However, many issues arrive with portable furniture, such as comfort and practicality.

[0004] Further, current portable chairs do not feature an easily removable cover, which often results in the chair being disposed of entirely when the cover becomes dirty or damaged. Additionally, the lack of an easily removable cover substantially limits the customizability of the chair. [0007] The present disclosure relates to a system and method for adjusting a chair position. A chair comprising a frame and a removable cover is provided. In one embodiment, the frame may comprise a base portion, a front portion, and a back portion. The base portion may be coupled to the front and back portions to permit rotation relative to the base portion. In one embodiment, the cover may extend over any of the frame portion to provide a support for a user.

The chair 100 may include a frame forming the support structure of the chair 100 and a cover 160. The frame may be constructed from a variety of materials suitable for bearing the mass of an average user. For example, the frame may be constructed using a material capable of bearing a mass of up to approximately 500 lbs, although higher weight tolerances may be possible. Such materials may include wood, metal, or plastic. In one embodiment, the frame may be constructed using a light-weight material. 1. A chair cover assembly, comprising:a base portion including a plurality of shaped side structures,wherein each shaped side structure includes a top portion;a front portion,wherein the front portion is coupled to the base portion;a back portion comprises a plurality of rear-side structures,wherein the back portion is coupled to the base portion, andwherein each rear-side structure includes a top portion; anda cover,wherein the cover comprises a cover back portion, a cover front portion, and a mid-portion,wherein the mid-portion comprises a long portion and a short portion extending out perpendicularly from the mid-portion,wherein the long portion comprises one or more receiving features, andwherein the short portion comprises one or more connecting features.

2. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the cover comprises a material selected from a group consisting of linen, hemp, cotton, polyester, wool, silk, soy, Kevlar, modacrylic, Nomex, and spandex.

3. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the one or more receiving features is loop.

4. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the one or more connecting features is a hook.

5. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the cover back portion comprises a first receiving pocket and the cover front portion comprises a second receiving pocket.

6. The assembly of claim 5, wherein the first receiving pocket is configured to removably receive the top portion of each of the plurality of rear-side structures and the second receiving pocket is configured to removably receive the front portion of the base structure.

7. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the cover further comprises a storage pouch.

8. A method for removing a chair cover, the method including:disengaging connecting and receiving features;separating a long portion of the chair cover from a short portion of the chair cover;removing one or more receiving pockets of the chair cover from a chair frame.

The method of claim 8, wherein the chair cover comprises a cover back portion, a cover front portion, and a mid-portion,wherein the mid-portion comprises the long portion and the short portion extending out perpendicularly from the mid-portion,wherein the long portion comprises the one or more receiving features, andwherein the short portion comprises the one or more connecting features.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the cover back portion comprises a first of the one or more receiving pockets and the cover front portion comprises a second of the one or more receiving pockets.

11. The method of claim 8, wherein the one or more receiving features comprises a loop.

12. The method of claim 8, wherein the one or more connecting features comprises a hook.
