BACKGROUND1. Field of the Invention

[0001] This invention relates to a goggle pad, and more particularly, to a goggle pad assembled with a goggles which can naturally fit along the periphery of the eye socket without excessively pressing. Thus, the goggle pad can provide confortable wearing experience for the user and the user can be free from the worries of water seepage.2. Description of the Related Art

[0002] As well known, the function of a goggle pad is mainly to provide the wearer with comfort and prevent water seepage. The goggle pads of conventional goggles are generally divided into two categories, one is foam pads, and the other is suction pads, in which the foam pads (see FIG. 7) are glued to the face side of the frame of a swimming goggles with adhesive, while the suction pads are generally manually sleeved on the periphery of the face side of the frame of a swimming goggles (see FIG. 8) or formed by integral injection molding (see FIG. 9).

[0003] However, due to the undulating contour around the eye socket, the contour is convex between an eyebrow and an eye, and concave on the inner side of the eyes near the bridge of the nose. The cheekbones near the eye pouches are convex, while the eye tail on the outside of the eye is concave. Since the undulating contours around the eye sockets are formed by traditional foam pads or suction cups, if the headband is not tight enough, the frame of a swimming goggle will not fit the eye sockets completely, and there is a risk of water seepage. That is, due to the limits of hardness of the foam material and the process of manufacturing by gluing, the conventional foam pad can only present a slightly undulating shape which fits the face. In addition, after the foam pad is assembled with the goggles and the goggles is worn, it cannot fit the contour with ups and downs around the eye socket even the headband is tightened, resulting in water seepage. Moreover, the hardness of the foam material can actually affect the wearing comfort. When the suction pad is adopted, it needs suction force to achieve the watertight effect. However, if there is not enough suction force when the swimming goggles is worn, the pad will not fit around the eye socket, and thus water seepage is likely to occur. Therefore, in order to avoid water seepage, the headband must be excessively tightened upon wearing the goggles, which might cause the phenomenon of panda eyes on the wearers.

[0004] In view of this, it would be expected in this field to develop a kind of goggle pad that is comfortable to wear and can avoid water seepage.SUMMARY

[0005] The objective of the present application is to provide a goggle pad. When the goggle pad is assembled with a swimming goggles and the swimming goggles is worn, the goggle pad forms a soft sealing ring which can fit users in different facial contours naturally along the contour around the eye socket, without the need for excessively pressing by tightening the headband of the swimming goggles. As a result, the users can be free from the worries of water seepage and phenomenon of panda eyes because it is confortable to wear.

[0006] In order to achieve the above objective, the present application provides a goggle pad that comprises a main body comprising soft material of solid plastic or rubber, wherein the hardness level of the main body is between Shore A 10-20. The main body comprises an assembling part for fixedly connecting with a swimming goggles, and a face-contacting part for contacting a face. The face-contacting part has a first peripheral surface and a second peripheral surface with wavy contours. The wavy contour of the first peripheral surface is from the side edge of the nose bridge to the side of the eye corner which is the upper half of the eye socket contour. The wavy contour of the second peripheral surface is from the eye corner of the first peripheral surface, along the lower side of the eye pouch, to the side of the nose bridge next to the lacrimal gland of an eye, and is connected with the side of the nose bridge of the first peripheral surface (i.e., the contour of the lower half of the eye socket), so that when the swimming goggles where the goggle pad is assembled on a frame of the swimming goggles thereof is worn, with the deformable characteristics of the solid soft material of the main body as well as the design of wavy contour of the first peripheral surface and the second peripheral surface of the face-contacting part, the upper and lower edges of the face-contacting part of the goggle pad is able to fit naturally along the area under the eyebrows and the peripheral of the eye sockets on the lower sides of the eye pouches, thus providing users with different facial contours with comfortable wearing and avoiding water seepage.

[0015] Please refer to FIG. 1, which is a diagram illustrating a perspective view of the goggle pad of the present application. The goggle pad 1 includes: a main body 10 which is comprising solid plastic (e.g., thermoplastic rubber) or rubber (e.g., silicone), and the hardness level thereof is Shore A 10-20. In this embodiment, the main body 10 comprises thermoplastic rubber (thermoplastic rubber; TPR), and the hardness level thereof is Shore A 13. The main body 10 comprises an assembling part 11 and a face-contacting part 12, wherein the assembling part 11 can be integrally formed by injection molding, gluing, or snap-on assembly with a swimming goggles. In this embodiment, the assembling part 11 is provided with a clamping groove 111, and the clamping groove 111 and the frame of the swimming goggles (as shown by dotted lines in FIGS. 3 and 4) are integrally assembled. In addition, please refer to FIG. 2 and FIG. 4. The assembling part 11 is provided with a groove 110, and the groove 110 can match the fitting part 12 to finely adjust the periphery of the eye sockets of different wearers, so as to achieve the matching effect which will be described later. The face-contacting part 12 is used to contact with the face. Please refer to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, which show that the first peripheral surface 121 and second peripheral surface 122 are provided with wavy contours. The wavy contour of the first peripheral surface 121 is from a side of the nose bridge to the side of an eye corner, (i.e., the upper half of the eye socket). The wavy contour of the second peripheral surface 122 is from the eye corner of the first peripheral surface, along the lower side of the eye pouch, to a side of the nose bridge next to the lacrimal gland of the eye, and is connected with the side of the bridge of the nose of the first peripheral surface (i.e., the contour of the lower half of the eye socket).

[0016] As such, after the goggle pad 1 of the present application is assembled on the swimming goggles (as shown in FIG. 5) and the swimming goggles is worn, with the advantages of the deformable characteristics of main body 10 which is comprising solid thermoplastic rubber as well as the design of the wavy contours of the first peripheral surface 121 and the second peripheral surface 122 of the face-fitting part 12, the upper and lower edges of the face-contacting part 12 of the pad 1 can naturally fit along the area below the eyebrows and around the eye sockets below the eye pouches, thus providing users with different facial contours with comfortable wearing and avoiding water seepage.

FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram showing that the swimming goggles are worn on the face where the goggle pads of the present application fit around the eye sockets. As shown in the figure, the main body 10 of the goggle pad 1 of the present invention is easy to deform due to the solid thermoplastic rubber material. Upon wearing the swimming goggles, the goggle pad 1 can naturally fit along the periphery of the eye sockets of the users in different face contours so as to create a soft sealing ring. This makes the users not only free from the worries of water seepage, but also have confortable wearing without the phenomenon of panda eyes. In addition, the buffering space provided by the groove 110 (see FIG. 5) can be used to make fine adjustments according to the eye socket contours of different wearers, so that the wavy contours of the upper edge first peripheral surface 121 and the lower edge second peripheral surface 122 of the face-contacting portion 12 of the pad 1 can naturally fit around the eye sockets below the eyebrows and under the eye pouches of users with different facial contours, thus providing users with different facial contours with comfortable wearing and avoiding water seepage.

[0018] To sum up, the goggle pad of the present application can effectively achieve the intended purpose and meets the requirements for patentability. However, the aforementioned description is merely preferred embodiments of the present invention. Any modifications or variations made based on the present invention shall fall within the scope of this application.

Claims

1. A goggle pad comprising a main body comprising soft material of solid plastic or rubber, wherein the hardness level of the main body is between Shore A 10-20; the main body comprises an assembling part for fixedly connecting with a swimming goggles and a face-contacting part for contacting a face; the face-contacting part has a first peripheral surface and a second peripheral surface with wavy contours; and the wavy contour of the first peripheral surface is from the side edge of the nose bridge to the side of the eye corner which is an upper half of the eye socket contour; the wavy contour of the second peripheral surface is from the eye corner of the first peripheral surface, along the lower side of the eye pouch, to the side of the nose bridge next to the lacrimal gland of an eye, and is connected with the side of the nose bridge of the first peripheral surface which is the contour of the lower half of the eye socket, so that when the swimming goggles where the goggle pad is assembled on a frame of the swimming goggles thereof is worn, with the deformable characteristics of the solid soft material of the main body as well as the design of the wavy contours of the first peripheral surface and the second peripheral surface of the face-contacting part, the upper and lower edges of the face-contacting part of the goggle pad are able to fit naturally along the area under the eyebrows and the periphery of the eye sockets on the lower sides of the eye pouches, thus providing users in different facial contours with comfortable wearing and avoiding water seepage.

2. The goggle pad according to claim 1, wherein the soft material of the main body comprises thermoplastic rubber (TPR), and the hardness level thereof is Shore A 13.

3. The goggle pad according to claim 1, wherein the soft material of the main body is silicone, and the hardness level thereof is Shore A 13.

The goggle pad according to claim 1, wherein the assembling part of the goggle pad is provided with at least one groove, and with the deformable characteristics of the soft material of the face-fitting part and the design of the wavy contour, the groove naturally performs fine adjustment for different wearers based on the eye socket contour thereof.

5. The goggle pad according to claim 1, wherein the assembling part of the goggle pad is integrally formed and assembled with the swimming goggles.

6. The goggle pad according to claim 1, wherein the assembling part of the goggle pad is integrally assembled with the swimming goggles by gluing.

7. The goggle pad according to claim 1, wherein the assembling part of the goggle pad is provided with a clamping groove, and the clamping groove is fixedly assembled with the frame of the swimming goggles.
