For example, dresses, skirts, gowns and similar garments are primarily worn by women and are worn on the torso and hand down over at least a portion of the legs. They are comprised of a bodice and a skirt (or similar bottom component) which are integrally attached to form a cohesive article of clothing. Lengths, textures, colors, materials, cuts, and shapes of the garment may vary depending on the particular style the user wishes to wear.

A bottom component is releasably attached to the middle component, the bottom component is constructed to at least partially cover and be worn over a lower body.

A modular garment, comprising:a top component constructed to at least partially cover and be worn over an upper torso and abdomen; anda bottom component releasably attached to the top component, the bottom component constructed to at least partially cover and be worn over a lower body;wherein connecting the top component and the bottom component forms a dress via a seam formed at a junction between a bottom portion of the top component and a top portion of the bottom component, and wherein the seam is fully detachable enabling the user to change the style, size, or fit of the modular garment; andwherein at least one of side seams, strap seams, and seams on a front and back of the modular garment are detachable using at least one attachment mechanism to enable complete modification of the modular garment's appearance, fit, and configuration.
2. The modular garment of claim 1, wherein the top component is releasably attached to the bottom component via a first attachment mechanism positioned at the bottom portion of the top component and a second attachment mechanism positioned at the top portion of the bottom component using at least one of the following: one or more snaps, one or more buttons, one or more zippers, one or more hooks, and one or more hook-and-loop systems.
3. The modular garment of claim 1, wherein the bottom component is releasably attached to the top component using at least one of the following: one or more snaps, one or more zippers, one or more buttons, one or more hooks, and one or more hook-and-loop systems.
4. The modular garment of claim 1, wherein the top component and the bottom component form a modular dress.
5. The modular garment of claim 1, wherein the top component and the bottom component form a modular, transformable, interchangeable, and convertible dress.
6. A modular garment configured as a dress, comprising:a top component constructed to at least partially cover and be worn over an upper torso, wherein the top component includes a first attachment mechanism positioned at a bottom portion of the top component, wherein the first attachment mechanism comprises at least one of: one or more snaps, one or more hooks, one or more hook-and-loop systems, one or more hook and eyes systems, one or more buttons, one or more fabric ties, one or more lace-ups with loops, one or more frog closures, one or more toggle fasteners, one or more tape components, one or more suspender clips, one or more pins, one or more clasps, and one or more magnets;a middle component constructed to at least partially cover and be worn over an abdomen, the middle component including:a second attachment mechanism positioned at a top portion of the middle component, the second attachment mechanism for releasably engaging with the first attachment mechanism; anda third attachment mechanism positioned at a bottom portion of the middle component; anda bottom component constructed to at least partially cover and be worn over a lower body, the bottom component including a fourth attachment mechanism positioned at a top portion of the bottom component, the fourth attachment mechanism releasably engaging with the third attachment mechanism,wherein the modular dress is formed by connecting the top component, the middle component, and the bottom component to form the dress; andwherein at least one of side seams, strap seams, and seams on a front and back of the modular garment are detachable to enable modification of the modular garment's appearance, fit, and configuration.
7. The modular garment of claim 6, wherein the first attachment mechanism releasably engages with the second attachment mechanism to form a first seam.
8. The modular garment of claim 6, wherein the third attachment mechanism releasably engages with the fourth attachment mechanism to form a second seam.
9. The modular garment of claim 6, wherein the top component is releasably attached to the middle component using at least one of the following attachment mechanisms: one or more snaps, one or more hooks, one or more hook-and-loop systems, one or more hook and eyes systems, one or more buttons, one or more fabric ties, one or more lace-ups with loops, one or more frog closures, one or more toggle fasteners, one or more tape components, one or more suspender clips, one or more pins, one or more clasps, and one or more magnets.
10. The modular garment of claim 6, wherein the middle component is releasably attached to the bottom component using at least one of the following attachment mechanisms: one or more snaps, one or more hooks, and one or more hook-and-loop systems, one or more hook and eyes systems, one or more buttons, one or more fabric ties, one or more lace-ups with loops, one or more frog closures, one or more toggle fasteners, one or more tape components, one or more suspender clips, one or more pins, one or more clasps, and one or more magnets.
11. The modular garment of claim 6, wherein the top component, the middle component, and the bottom component make up a modular, transformable, interchangeable, and convertible dress.12.-18. (canceled)
