Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure relates to the field of transport devices. In particular, the present disclosure relates to devices, such as backpacks, for transporting flat, sensitive, and possibly heavy objects, such as laptops.BACKGROUND

[0002] Transport devices are used in everyday life for various activities, for example for sporting purposes, in leisure activities, in combat operations, or even when commuting between home and work, in a variety of designs. Depending on the purpose and activity, different transport devices with different properties and corresponding features are available on the market, for example, bicycle backpacks, hiking backpacks, or laptop backpacks.

[0003] In transport devices for sports applications, special attention is usually paid to the back systems and carrying systems, in particular body-contact back systems and rear-ventilated back systems, as well as shoulder straps and hip belts for load fixation and distribution. These carrying devices are designed in a variety of ways by improving the carrying system, in particular the back section and shoulder straps, so that the user can not only carry objects, but also maintain a comfortable posture and be affected as little as possible by the carrying device, thus achieving a high level of carrying comfort. At the same time, attempts are made to secure the load and bring it close to the body, as well as to wick away sweat if necessary.

[0004] In addition, there are transport devices for leisure or work use, where fashionable design and interior organization elements are regularly the focus. Accordingly, transport devices for laptops regularly focus on protecting the items, especially laptops or tablets. These items are usually flat and thin, but at the same time comparatively heavy and generally as sensitive as they are valuable, so their safety is a top priority. They should be stored in the transport device in such a way that the risk of damage during use is minimized. For this reason, laptop carriers usually have a separate receptacle that is secured and padded in such a way as to provide collision protection or a cushioning effect. In addition, attempts are made to store accessories and other items such as work tools and documents as neatly as possible. Ergonomic aspects, especially with regards to load distribution and carrying comfort, are often treated as secondary or not at all.

[0005] However, it has become apparent that the requirements for transport devices are constantly changing. For example, workplaces are becoming more mobile, and sports and fitness are becoming more popular and taking up more time; this also changes the requirements for transport devices, as laptops, tablets, and other portable electronic devices are being transported more frequently. Depending on availability or activity, normal or sports transport devices are often used, in which the devices are inadequately protected, which can very easily lead to damage to the items. In addition, such transport devices sometimes offer little carrying comfort during the activity or even hinder the person carrying them, especially due to the sometimes considerable weight of standard office equipment (e.g., 15″ laptop, mouse, and keyboard, as well as power supplies and other cable accessories). Finally, the use of transport devices that are unsuitable for the activity in question, such as carrying a laptop transport device while running or cycling, can result in poor posture and strain on the spine, or be uncomfortable.

[0006] For these reasons, it is desirable to develop a transport device that can safely hold electronic devices, is suitable for everyday sporting activities, and, in addition, has as little impact as possible on the wearer's activity when carrying heavy loads.

[0007] DE 20 2017 003 099 U1 shows a backpack that can be used as a transport medium during archery and at the same time as a back quiver for storing arrows.SUMMARY

[0008] This task is at least partially solved by a transport device according to the independent claim. Preferred examples of the present disclosure are the subject of the dependent claims.

[0009] Accordingly, a transport device according to the present disclosure, in particular a backpack, comprises at least one back section that is at least partially concave in shape, a carrying system arranged on a first side of the back section, which has at least one carrying strap, a bag arranged on a second side of the back section opposite the first side, which is formed by a first side section, a second side section opposite this, a front section opposite the back section and spaced apart from the side sections, a lid section, and a bottom section, wherein the bag together with the back section defines a storage space, and at least one receptacle extending essentially in one plane for receiving at least one essentially linear or flat transport object, wherein the receptacle is arranged inside the bag.

[0010] According to the present disclosure, the receptacle is arranged with its upper or lower region on the back section or in its immediate vicinity, and with its lower or upper region opposite the upper or lower region spaced apart from the back section in the direction of the front section, whereby an at least partially wedge-shaped first storage space is formed between the back section and the receptacle.

[0011] The transport device according to the present disclosure causes flat objects held in the receptacle, even if they are heavy, are attached close to the wearer's back, the resulting load is transferred to the carrying system, with a significant part of the load also being transferred to any hip fins of the carrying system, so that the wearer's back and shoulders are not strained, or only slightly strained, even when carrying heavy objects and in the event of considerable activity, such as running.

[0012] The close fit and essentially snug hold of the transport object within the receptacle effectively prevents the transport object from swinging side to side during activity. Transport object

[0013] The receptacle is preferably designed as a sleeve so that the transport object cannot move freely inside it. Ideally, the receptacle is additionally padded to protect the transport object.

[0014] In one example, the upper or lower section of the receptacle, which is arranged with the back section or in its immediate vicinity, can be connected to the back section at least in sections, either permanently or detachably, for example, by a Velcro fastener, a zipper, or buttons. This achieves particularly good load transfer from the receptacle to the back section and further into the carrying system without the receptacle contacting the bottom section of the bag.

[0015] This means that the receptacle is virtually suspended in the bag, which ensures that the transport object is well protected even if the transport device is placed on a firm surface or during activities involving vigorous up and down movements. Furthermore, this also increases the service life of the transport device, as there is no direct contact between the heavy transport object and the bottom section, and thus no direct mechanical impact on the bottom section (which also serves to protect the transport object).

[0016] This first storage space is bounded at the top and bottom by the upper and lower parts of the receptacle, which are located on or in the immediate vicinity of the back section. Furthermore, the first storage space is bounded at the sides by corresponding sections of the first and second side parts of the bag.

[0017] In one example, the receptacle is firmly connected to the first and second side parts of the bag, for example by sewing, although a reversible connection such as a Velcro fastener, a zipper, or the like is also possible. The latter allows the receptacle to be removed from the bag.

[0018] The at least partially concave rear section reduces direct contact between the rear section of the transport device and the wearer's body, thereby increasing ventilation and thus preventing excessive perspiration on the wearer's back during activity. However, this would prevent the close-fitting arrangement of a linear or flat object, such as a laptop, which is overcome in the best possible way by the inventive oblique arrangement of the receptacle in the bag, while at the same time making optimum use of the resulting or required space in the form of the first storage space.

[0019] According to a further example of the transport device according to the present disclosure, a second storage space is arranged between the front section of the bag and the receptacle. This second storage space is mirrored in relation to the first storage space both with respect to a horizontal plane and with respect to the plane of the receptacle. Furthermore, the second storage space is bounded laterally by corresponding sections of the first and second side parts of the bag.

[0020] The second storage space increases the capacity of the transport device and protects flat objects in the receptacle from damage from the front. The arrangement of the storage spaces according to the present disclosure means that flat objects are well protected by the first and second storage spaces against any damage caused by twisting, which could affect the transported goods in conjunction with the concave rear section.

[0021] According to one example of the transport device according to the present disclosure, the storage space, in particular the receptacle and the first and / or second storage spaces, can be accessed through at least one closable opening in the front section, lid part, side parts, and / or bottom section. A closable opening arranged in the front section, lid part, side parts, and / or bottom section allows objects to be inserted into and removed from the storage space.

[0022] According to one example, the closable opening is formed by a resealable closure system, such as a zipper system, zip-lock system, Velcro fastener system, drawstring system, button system, or the like.

[0023] According to one example of the transport device according to the present disclosure, the receptacle is connected to the side parts of the bag, for example by sewing, or firmly connected by other connecting techniques, such as gluing or riveting.

[0024] In one example, a portion of the receptacle is formed by a portion of the bag. For example, the surface of the receptacle facing away from the back portion may also form the front portion of the bag.

[0025] The transport device according to the present disclosure offers an effective solution for activities such as sports, running, or other athletic activities, or in the case of field use, where the wearer could be hindered by any swinging of the transport object, so that this must be avoided.

[0026] According to one example of the transport device according to the present disclosure, two hip fins are provided parallel to each other on the opposite undersides of the carrying system, wherein the hip fins are provided for load-bearing positioning on the wearer's hips and are held in this position by a hip belt around the wearer's waist.

[0027] This allows the transport device to be fixed even more securely to the wearer's body, so that the transport device does not swing when the wearer moves, even in the case of considerable activity or when carrying heavy objects.

[0028] According to one example of the transport device according to the present disclosure, at least one removable organizer pocket can be arranged in the first or second storage space, the shape of which is adapted to the wedge-shaped design of the storage spaces.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

[0031] FIG. 2 shows a side view of an example of the transport device designed as a backpack;

[0032] FIGS. 3a and 3b show the example of FIG. 2 with organizer pockets;

[0033] FIG. 4 shows a side view of another example of the transport device designed as a backpack;

[0034] FIGS. 5a and 5b show the example of FIG. 4 with organizational pockets.DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0035] FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a transport device 1 according to the present disclosure in the form of a backpack. The transport device 1 comprises a concave-shaped back section 3. A carrying system 7 comprising shoulder straps 7.1 and hip fins 7.2 is arranged on the back section, and a bag 4 is arranged on the side of the back section 3 opposite the carrying system.

[0036] The bag is formed by a first side section 4.1, a second side section opposite to it, a front section 4.3 opposite to the back section 3 and spaced apart from the side parts, a lid section 4.4, and a bottom section 4.5, wherein the bag 4 together with the back section 3 defines a storage space.

[0037] FIG. 2 shows a side view of an example of a transport device according to the present disclosure, wherein the arrangement of the receptacle 5 within the bag 4 is shown schematically. The receptacle 5 is arranged with its lower region 5.1 on the back section 3 or positioned in its immediate vicinity, and is preferably connected thereto. At the same time, the upper section 5.2 of the receptacle 5 is positioned at a distance from the back section 3 in the direction of the front section 4.3, thereby forming an at least partially wedge-shaped first storage space 9.1 between the back section 3 and the upper section 5.2 of the receptacle 5.

[0038] The sides of the receptacle 5 are preferably connected to the respective side parts of the bag 4 by sewing (shown in FIG. 3a), so that the receptacle 5 is essentially suspended inside the bag and, through the connection to the back section 3, the weight of the transport object provided in the receptacle 5 is effectively distributed. The receptacle 5 is a bag open at the top, preferably in the form of a sleeve, into which corresponding flat objects, such as a laptop, can be inserted and held substantially immovable.

[0039] The first storage space 9.1 provides additional space for storing further items to be transported. The arrangement of the receptacle 5 on the back section 3 effectively distributes the load and at the same time reduces any vibrations that may occur due to the weight of the item being transported in the receptacle when the carrying device is in use.

[0040] In the transport device according to the present disclosure, the distribution of the weight of the transport object and any other objects is optimized due to the spatial distribution of the receptacle 5 and the first storage space 9.1 and, if applicable, second storage space 9.2 within the bag of the transport device, and is particularly close to the body overall, even though the transport device is designed with a carrying system having a concave back section.

[0041] As shown in FIG. 2, a second storage space 9.2 is formed between the front section 4.3 and the receptacle 5. Here, the lower area 5.1 of the receptacle 5 is connected to the back section 3, and the upper area 5.2 of the receptacle 5 is spaced apart from the back section and arranged near the front section of the bag. The front section of the bag is designed so that the lower area 5.1 of the receptacle 5 is spaced apart from it.

[0042] Overall, the slanted or diagonal arrangement of the receptacle 5 in the bag 4, in which the lower region 5.1 of the receptacle 5 is arranged on the back section 3 and follows its curvature in sections due to the concave shape, means that the two storage regions 9.1 and 9.2 are designed to be as deep as possible, i.e. the distance between the rear section 3 and the front section 4.3, even though the bag is flat overall.

[0043] FIGS. 3a and 3b show the transport device according to the present disclosure as shown in FIG. 2 with two organizer pockets 6, the shape of which is adapted to the wedge-shaped form of the first storage space 9.1. The arrows symbolize the movement of the opening or the movement when inserting the organizational pockets 6. In FIG. 3b, the position of the pockets 6 in the storage space 9.1 is shown schematically from the side.

[0044] FIG. 4 shows a side view of a further example of a transport device according to the present disclosure, wherein the receptacle 5 is arranged with its upper region 5.3 on the back section 3 or positioned in its immediate vicinity. At the same time, the lower section 5.4 of the receptacle 5 is positioned at a distance from the rear section 3 in the direction of the front section 4.3, thereby forming an at least partially wedge-shaped third storage space 9.3 between the rear section 3 and the receptacle 5, in particular the lower section 5.4 of the receptacle.

[0045] As shown, the transport device according to the present disclosure has a wedge-shaped first storage space 9.3 between the back section 3 of the receptacle 5. Here, the upper area of the receptacle is connected to the back section 3 and the lower area of the receptacle 5 is spaced apart from the back section 3. The sides of the receptacle 5 are connected to the respective side parts of the bag 4 by sewing.

[0046] A fourth storage space 9.4 is also formed between the front section 4.3 of the bag and the receptacle 5. The front section 4.3 of the bag is designed in such a way that the upper area 5.3 of the receptacle 5 is spaced apart from it.

[0047] The fourth storage space 9.4 can also be used to hold organizational pockets 6, the shape of which is adapted to the wedge-shaped design of the fourth storage space and which, as shown in FIG. 5a and schematically in 5b, are inserted into the bag from above through the lid section 4.4.
