Interchangeable Headrest V-shaped Pillow

Abstract

This invention, the Interchangeable Headrest, V-shaped Pillow fits into the sleep and bedding field. This pillow was invented to help people suffering from sleep apnea to get a more restful night's sleep, by providing stability for the user, while also allowing the user to benefit from multiple comfort options for their headrest. The principal use of the pillow is to allow sleep apnea sufferers and CPAP users to feel supported and centered, especially while wearing a CPAP mask and its accompanying hose.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] I have invented a pillow to help people suffering from sleep apnea and using CPAP machines, to remain comfortable and centered while they sleep and to minimize tossing and turning, while also offering the user different comfort options in the headrest area.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0002] My invention, the Interchangeable Headrest V-shaped Pillow, is a V-shaped pillow, with a removable, replaceable headrest. This gives the user the option to choose from many different headrest options, including, but not limited to; memory foam, polyester fiber filling (regular and firm fill) and premium goose down (regular and firm fill). [0008] The Interchangeable Headrest, V-shaped Pillow is nontraditional V-shape.

[0009] The dimensions of the prototype are 35″×14″×17.5″×6″×14″×17.5″×35″. Along the bottom portion of the V-shape, (pointy end), is a 30″ zipper, which allows the placement and removal of the individual headrest pieces.

[0010] Inside of the lower section of the V-shape, is the most important part of my invention and the subject of my provisional and non-provisional patent application. The removable headrest. Its prototype dimensions are also nontraditional (5 sided) and are as follows. 15″×10.5″×7.5″×10.5″×15″.

[0011] The Construction material of both the V-shaped pillows and headrest outer casings are cotton. The fill for the non-removable arms of the V-shape, is polyester fiber filling. 17.5″ along the pillow arms is an internal baffle (also cotton), stitched into place to hold the polyester fiber filling in place permanently, while also separating the lower section of the V-shape to house the headrest piece. These dimensions will change as we make smaller versions of the pillow for youth.
