Description

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0001] This US non-provisional patent application claims priority under 35 USC § 119 of Korean Patent Application No. 10-2025-0036880, filed on Mar. 21, 2025, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference.BACKGROUND

[0002] The present disclosure relates to a capsule cap and a container, and more particularly, to a cap (lid) including a capsule containing a tablet or other solid contents and a container assembly using the same.

[0003] Health supplements, such as vitamins and probiotics, are provided in formulations such as powders or tablets and are consumed together with a beverage.

[0004] In recent years, a dual container has been developed and commercially available in which a health supplement is stored together in a cap of a beverage container that eliminates inconvenience in that a user separately prepares a health supplement and a beverage container and consumes the health supplement and the beverage separately, thereby allowing a solid and a liquid to be taken simultaneously or together.

[0005] Although the health supplement is stored separately from the beverage contained in the container in the beverage containers, since a sufficiently tight seal is not provided, problems may frequently occur in that the contents are mixed with each other or deteriorated.

[0006] In order to solve the above-described problems, Korean Patent Registration No. 10-2760709 discloses a container in which a solid content is separately stored in a closed dispensing part, and the dispensing part is opened by movement and cutting so that the solid content falls into another dispensing part and then is consumed together with liquid content.

[0007] Although Korean Patent Registration No. 10-2760709 separately forms a first dispensing part and a second dispensing part so as to solve problems such as deterioration of the solid content due to moisture, there is a problem in that manufacturing costs may increase due to a very complicated structure including a movement structure of the dispensing part and a blade (cutting portion) for cutting a sealing sheet.RELATED ART DOCUMENTPatent Document(Patent document 1): Korean Patent Registration No. 10-2760709

[0038] Hereinafter, the structure and operational effects of a cover-type capsule cap according to the present disclosure and a container assembly using the same will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0039] The detailed description on the specific embodiment illustrated in the accompanying drawings should be read in relation with the accompanying drawings, and the drawings are regarded as a part of the description of the entire invention. The terminology used herein is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the invention.

[0040] Spatially relative terms, such as “beneath”, “below”, “lower”, “above”, “upper” and the like, may be used herein for ease of description to describe one element or feature's relationship to another element(s) or feature(s) as illustrated in the figures.

[0041] Note that the same or similar components in the drawings are designated by the same reference numerals as far as possible even if they are shown in different drawings. In the following description of the present disclosure, a detailed description of known functions and configurations incorporated herein will be omitted to avoid making the subject matter of the present disclosure unclear.

[0042] FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a cover-type capsule cap and a container assembly using the same according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view illustrating the cover-type capsule cap and the container assembly using the same according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, and FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view illustrating the cover-type capsule cap and the container assembly using the same according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0043] As illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 3, a cover-type capsule cap and a container assembly 100 using the same according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a container 110, a cap 120, a push cover 130, a dispensing part 140, and a capsule 150.

[0044] The container 110 may have a bottle shape and may be a general cylindrical container made of a plastic material. The container 110 may contain beverage liquids that are drinking contents such as a soft drink, an isotonic drink, a liquid health supplement, coffee, yogurt, or milk.

[0045] In an opened state, a thread portion 111 may be formed on an outer circumferential surface of an upper portion of the container 110 so that the cap 120 is screw-coupled thereto, and the dispensing part 140 may be coupled to an upper end of the container 110.

[0046] The cap 120 may be formed such that a through-hole 123 is formed through a central portion thereof, and may include an outer portion 121 coupled to the thread portion 111 of the container 110 and a cylindrical inner portion 122 in which the through-hole 123 is formed at a center thereof.

[0047] An upper edge of the outer portion 121 of the cap 120 may be formed with a fastening rim 121a protruding upward.

[0048] The fastening rim 121a may have an inwardly curved shape and may be coupled with a fastening rim 131a of a plate 131 of the push cover 130 in a groove engagement manner, thereby fixing the push cover 130.

[0049] A button portion 132 of the push cover 130 may protrude upward from the inside to the outside of the through-hole 123 of the cap 120.

[0050] The push cover 130 may include the plate 131 having a disc shape and the button portion 132 protruding upward from a center of the plate 131.

[0051] The button portion 132 may pass through the through-hole 123 of the cap 120 and be exposed upward and have a trapezoidal cross-sectional shape that is in contact with the through-hole 123 to remove an empty space. Since the button portion 132 presses the capsule 150 disposed therebelow by a pressing operation, the button portion 132 may be made of a material such as soft plastic capable of being pressed by an external force.

[0052] The capsule 150 may be accommodated inside the button portion 132, and a contact portion 133 may be formed to extend downward from an inner central portion of the button portion 132 to press a central portion of the capsule 150.

[0053] An end of the contact portion 133 may be a surface contacting the capsule 150, and may have the same shape as an outer edge of the capsule 150 so as to be in contact with and integrated with the capsule 150.

[0054] The capsule 150 generally refers to a capsule containing solid contents such as commonly distributed tablets or pills and having a bottom surface sealed with a film configured to be opened when pressed.

[0055] The solid contents may include, without limitation, ingestible health supplements, such as solid preparations, pills, tablets, and other solid formulations, vitamins, health foods, fatigue recovery agents, and ingestible medicines. In addition, the solid contents may include powder, granules, or solid masses having a predetermined size. However, the embodiment of the present disclosure is not limited thereto.

[0056] The capsule 150 may be inserted into the push cover 130 in a state in which solid contents such as tablets or pills are contained therein, and a film 151 may be sealed to a wing plate 152 of the push cover 130. A portion containing the solid contents may be seated on the button portion 132 of the push cover 130 so that a bottom surface of the contact portion 133 is in contact with a top surface of the capsule 150.

[0057] The plate 131 may also serve to hold the wing plate 152 of the capsule 150 between a top surface of the cap 120 and a bottom surface of the push cover 130, and the film 151 may be made of aluminum foil.

[0058] The dispensing part 140 is a member capable of accommodating the solid contents contained in the capsule 150 when the solid contents fall during drinking.

[0059] The dispensing part 140 may include a coupling portion 141 formed at an upper end thereof so as to be coupled to an upper end of the container 110, a plurality of bridge portions 142 spaced a predetermined distance from each other and connecting a bowl 143 and an outer circumferential edge 144 at a lower side thereof, the bowl 143 capable of accommodating the solid contents falling from the capsule 150, and the outer circumferential edge 144 having the coupling portion 141 formed at an upper end thereof and connected to the bowl 143 by the bridge portions 142 at a lower end thereof.

[0060] The bowl 143 may have a dish shape or a bowl shape, and may serve as a liquid inlet passage P through which liquid contents of the container 110 may flow during drinking through a space between the bridge portions 142 and a space between the bowl 143 and the outer circumferential edge 144.

[0061] When the cap 120 is not opened, the inner portion 122 of the cap 120 may be fitted and coupled between side surfaces of the bowl 143 and the outer circumferential edge 144, thereby blocking spaces between the bridge portions 142 so that liquid contents do not flow out. When the cap 120 is removed during drinking, the spaces between the bridge portions 142 serve as liquid passages, allowing the liquid contents and the solid contents to be taken simultaneously or together.

[0062] The inner portion 122 of the cap 120 may have a width that gradually decreases in a downward direction so as to be fitted and coupled between the bowl 143 and the outer circumferential edge 144. Similarly, each of the bowl 143 and the outer circumferential edge 144 may also have a width that gradually decreases in a downward direction.

[0063] The cover-type capsule cap and the container assembly using the same 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may eliminate process-related inconveniences in that an existing capsule-type storage container in the form of the capsule 150 may be directly applied to a dual drinking container. In addition, different types of contents may be ingested while providing double protection against introduction into the solid contents, and since a conventional method of pressing the capsule 150 to discharge the contents may be directly used, thereby improving user convenience.

[0064] FIG. 4 is a view illustrating an opening sequence of the cover-type capsule cap and the container assembly using the same according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0065] Referring to FIG. 4, in the cover-type capsule cap and the container assembly 100 using the same according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the container 110 and the capsule 150 are coupled in a state (refer to FIG. 4A) in which liquid contents is contained in the container 110 and solid contents 160 is filled in the capsule 150, thereby forming a finished product.

[0066] During ingesting and drinking, when the user presses the button portion 132 of the push cover 130 downward (in the direction {circle around (a)}) as shown in FIG. 4A, the button portion 132 is pressed downward as shown in FIG. 4B and simultaneously presses the capsule 150. Here, the solid contents 160 contained in the capsule 150 fall and are accommodated in the bowl 143 of the dispensing part 140.

[0067] In this state, when the cap 120 is rotated and opened, the liquid contents are allowed to flow out in the direction of arrow {circle around (c)}, and the solid contents are allowed to be discharged in the direction of arrow {circle around (d)}, such that the liquid contents and the solid contents may be consumed simultaneously, together, or at once.
