[0024] In order to further explain the technical solution of the present disclosure, the present disclosure will be described in detail below with reference to specific embodiments.

[0025] A waterproof plastic zipper as shown in FIGS. 1-6, including a pair of tapes 1 and a slider; the pair of tapes 1 are arranged opposite each other, and the arrangement of the pair of tapes 1 is the same as that of a conventional zipper; the slider is provided with a puller, and a user, by pulling the puller, drives the slider to slide on the pair of tapes 1 so as to close or open the pair of tapes 1.

[0026] Specifically, each of the pair of the tapes 1 is provided with a fabric tape 2, a fabric rib 3, and a row of teeth.

[0027] The fabric tape 2 has a front surface and a back surface. In general, the front surface is the surface of the side of the fabric tape 2 exposing to the outside when the waterproof plastic zipper of the present disclosure is installed on an article such as clothing or luggage and other bags, while the back surface is the surface of the side opposite the front surface and hidden inside; and a part or all of the front surface of the fabric tape 2 is provided with a waterproof layer which may be a waterproof adhesive layer attached thereon or other fabric tape waterproof structures commonly used in conventional waterproof zippers.

[0028] The fabric ribs 3 are provided on the sides of the two fabric tapes 2 facing each other, and are fabric ribs used in conventional waterproof plastic zippers.

[0029] The rows of teeth are provided on the fabric ribs 3, and specifically the rows of teeth are formed by arranging conventional plastic teeth. The rows of teeth are injection-molded on the fabric ribs 3 using a conventional injection molding method, and are brought together under the action of the puller; each of the rows of teeth includes a plurality of teeth 4 closely arranged side by side, and the plurality of teeth 4 are provided on the fabric ribs 3 using a method the same as that for conventional plastic zippers, i.e. injection molding. Wherein the teeth 4 are made of polyoxymethylene resin.

[0030] When the rows of teeth are brought together, each of the teeth 4 on one tape 1 is staggered and meshed with a corresponding tooth 4 on the opposite tape 1; suppose that a slide direction of the slider on the rows of teeth is the width direction of the teeth 4; each of the teeth 4 has a tail portion 5 and a head portion connected to each other; the tail portion 5 is substantially square, and is molded on a corresponding fabric rib 3; the head portion extends towards the opposite tape 1, and is provided with a base and a top portion 7 arranged adjacent to each other in the thickness direction; the base is located on the back surface side of a corresponding fabric tape 2, and the top portion 7 is located on the front surface side of the corresponding fabric tape 2.

[0031] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, a free end of the top portion 7 is arranged closer to the tail portion 5 relative to a free end of the base. Specifically, the top portion 7 is a straight prism with a triangular cross section; the cross-sectional dimension of the top portion 7 gradually decreases in a direction from the tail portion to the head portion, and the width of the top portion 7 gradually decreases in a direction from the tail portion to the head portion. The top portion is provided with side wing portions 6 respectively extending out of the base from two sides in the width direction; there are two side wing portions 6, the side of each of the side wing portions 6 facing the base is provided with a recess 12, and a protrusion 11 is provided in the recess 12; a tail end of the protrusion 11 does not extend out of the recess 12, that is, the tail end of the protrusion 11 is not higher than the recess 12; the protrusion 11 is spaced apart from the base; the protrusion 11 is square or is semi-cylindrical; and the protrusion 11 is arranged close to an edge of the top portion 7 in the width direction.

[0032] The base is provided with a neck portion 8 and a front portion 9; the width of the neck portion is less than the width of the front portion; both the width direction of the neck portion and the width direction of the front portion refer to the slide direction of the slider on the tapes 1; and the neck portion 8 is connected to the tail portion 5, the front portion 9 is connected to the neck portion 8, and the neck portion 8 is located between the tail portion 5 and the front portion 9.

[0033] Side surfaces of the top portions of two teeth 4 are closely adjacent to and abut against each other. Specifically, the front portion 9 of a tooth 4 on one tape 1 is embedded in a space surrounded by the neck portions 8 of two teeth 4 adjacent thereto on the other tape; in this case, the top portion of a tooth 4 on one tape 1 is located in the space surrounded by the top portions of two teeth 4 adjacent thereto on the other tape 1, since the top portion 7 is a straight prism with a triangular cross section, the space surrounded by the top portions of two adjacent teeth 4 on one tape 1 is also a prism-shaped space with a triangular cross section; by means of the top portion 7 having a triangular cross section, the gap between adjacent teeth is small when the rows of teeth are brought together, thereby achieving a certain degree of waterproof.

[0034] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 5, the protrusion 11 has a maximum height a in the thickness direction of a tooth 4, 0.15 mm<a<0.2 mm, the recess 12 has a depth b, 0.2 mm<b<0.4 mm, and a distance between a portion of the protrusion 11 having the maximum height and an end surface of the side of the front portion 9 facing the side wing portions is c, c being less than or equal to 0.05 mm; by means of such setting of dimensional parameters, the front portion 9 and the side wing portions can be better fitted when the two rows of teeth meshing with each other are brought together or opened. Specifically, the protrusions 11 are respectively located on two sides of the neck portion 8 in the width direction, and there is a gap between each protrusion 11 and the neck portion 8, that is, there is a gap between each protrusion 11 and the neck portion 8. The effect of such design is as follows: in a process in which two teeth 4 mesh with each other, a side wing portion 6 of one tooth 4 and the base, in particular the front portion 9 of the base, of the other tooth 4 are in frictional contact with each other; if the gaps between the protrusions 11 and the neck portion 8 are filled, that is, the recesses 12 where the protrusions are located are filled, the contact areas between the front portion 9 and the side wing portions 6 will increase, thus increasing the resistance generated at the time of meshing, such that people feel bad when closing the two tapes 1; if the protrusions 11 are not provided, the thicknesses of the side wing portions 6 at the recesses 12 will decrease, and the strength of meshing between two meshed teeth 4 in a direction perpendicular to the tapes 1 will decrease, which causes the teeth 4 to move in a direction perpendicular to the tapes 1, thereby enlarging a gap between the teeth 4 meshing with each other, thereby affecting the waterproof effect of the whole zipper.

[0035] As shown in FIG. 6, a portion of the base close to the top portion 7 is an abutment portion 10; the abutment portion 10 has a height h, and the fabric rib has a thickness d, ⅓<h / d<½; when the two opposite row of teeth are brought together, the abutment portion 10 abuts against the fabric rib 3, and in particular, the side of a free end of the abutment portion 10 facing the fabric rib 3 of the opposite tape 1 abuts against the fabric rib of the opposite tape 1; the abutting tooth 4 is in close contact with the fabric rib 3; and in the thickness direction, a central cross section of the abutment portion 10 (e) is higher than the height central cross section (f) of the fabric rib 3 abutting against same, achieving a good waterproof effect. Further, when the opposite rows of teeth are brought together, the depth of deformation generated when the abutment portion 10 presses the fabric rib of the opposite tape is greater than 0.1 mm. By means of such setting, the abutment portion 10 can be well embedded into the fabric rib 3, reducing a gap between the free end of the abutment portion 10 and the fabric rib 3, further improving the waterproof effect.

[0036] In addition, since the free end of the top portion 7 is arranged closer to the tail portion 5 than the free end of the base, when the opposite rows of teeth are brought together, the free end of the top portion 7 and the fabric rib of the opposite tape 1 are not in contact with each other, and are spaced apart from each other, such that a certain gap is formed between the top portions of the two rows of teeth, allowing the two tapes where the two rows of teeth are located to be bent towards each other at a certain angle, providing usage convenience while ensuring a waterproofing effect.
