Abstract
Description
CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0001] This patent application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 63 / 779,798 filed on Mar. 28, 2025 and entitled “Jewelry For Retaining Cosmetics”, the disclosure of which is hereby incorporated by reference herein in its entirety and made part of the present U.S. utility patent application for all purposes.BACKGROUND
[0002] The disclosed inventive subject matter relates in general to jewelry and personal care products, and more particularly to systems, devices, and methods that discreetly integrate cosmetics, personal hygiene products, and / or skincare products into wearable jewelry pieces.
[0003] A number of developments have been made for uniquely packaging personal care products such as cosmetics, personal hygiene products, and skincare products. However, existing developments are aesthetically unappealing and require users to carry these personal care products in their bags and / or pockets, which hinder availability and accessibility, limit the types of personal care products that can be carried, and increase the risk of losing said products. Accordingly, there is an ongoing need for aesthetically appealing jewelry systems and devices that discreetly and conveniently store and carry personal care products.SUMMARY
[0004] The following provides a summary of certain example implementations of the disclosed technology. This summary is not an extensive overview and is not intended to identify key or critical aspects or elements of the disclosed technology or to delineate its scope. However, it is to be understood that the use of indefinite articles in the language used to describe and claim the disclosed technology is not intended in any way to limit the described technology. Rather, the use of “a” or “an” should be interpreted to mean “at least one” or “one or more”.
[0005] One implementation of the disclosed technology provides an integrated jewelry and personal care product system, comprising a piece of jewelry; a first personal care product at least partially positionable within a first container; and a first connecting mechanism, comprising a first magnet; and a second magnet, wherein the first magnet and the second magnet cooperate to removably attach the first personal care product or the first container to the piece of jewelry.
[0006] In one or more embodiments, the piece of jewelry comprises a first terminal attached to a first end of a band, wherein the first terminal includes a surface configured to receive a portion of the first personal care product or a portion of the first container; and an end cap extending from the surface. In some aspects of the present invention, the end cap of the first terminal includes a protrusion that receives the first magnet, and wherein the first container includes the second magnet. In some embodiments, the first personal care product includes a base and an applicator, wherein the base removably attaches to the first container thereby concealing the applicator. The piece of jewelry may be a cuff bracelet. In one or more embodiments, the integrated jewelry and personal care product system comprises a second personal care product at least partially positionable within a second container. In some embodiments, the piece of jewelry further comprises a second terminal attached to a second end of the band, wherein the second terminal includes a surface configured to receive a portion of the second personal care product or a portion of the second container; and an end cap extending from the surface of the second terminal. In some aspects of the present invention, the integrated jewelry and personal care product system further comprises a second connecting mechanism comprising a first magnet and a second magnet, wherein the first and second magnets of the second connecting mechanism cooperate to removably attach the second personal care product or the second container to the piece of jewelry. The end cap of the second terminal may include a protrusion that receives the first magnet of the second connecting mechanism, and the second container may include the second magnet of the second connecting mechanism. In some embodiments, the second personal care product includes a base and an applicator, wherein the base of the second personal care product removably attaches to the second container thereby concealing the applicator.
[0007] In some embodiments, the piece of jewelry comprises a chain and a pendant. The first personal care product may include a base and an applicator, wherein the base removably attaches to the first container thereby concealing the applicator. In some embodiments, the pendant includes the first magnet and the base of the first personal care product includes the second magnet, and the first magnet and the second magnet cooperate to removably attach the personal care product to the pendant.
