Abstract

A multiloop cable tie accessory is to be used with a typical cable tie to enhance the capabilities of said cable tie. The typical cable tie has one locking mechanism and a strap which when put together only results in one loop. In certain situations, multiple loops would be desirable on a single cable tie. When the multiloop cable tie accessory is used with a typical cable tie the strap can be run through the cable ties attached locking mechanism, then run though the multiloop cable tie accessory locking mechanisms. Creating multiple loops on a single cable tie will create versatility in a typical cable tie.

Description

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0001] This invention is concerned with adding the ability to have multiple loops on any given cable tie.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

[0002] The invention is illustrated more or less diagrammatically in the following drawings where in:

[0003] FIG. 1 is a side elevational view of this multiloop cable tie accessory in use on a typical cable tie.

[0004] FIG. 2 is a side elevational view of a typical cable tie without the multiloop cable tie accessory.

[0005] FIG. 3 is a side view of the multiloop cable tie accessory without any extension between the two locking mechanisms.

[0006] FIG. 4 is a side view of the multiloop cable tie accessory with an extension between the two locking mechanisms.

[0007] FIG. 5 is a side view of a typical cable tie.

[0008] FIG. 6 is a plan view of the multiloop cable tie accessory without any extension between the two locking mechanisms.

[0009] FIG. 7 is a plan view of the multiloop cable tie accessory with an extension between the two locking mechanisms.

[0010] FIG. 8 is a plan view of a typical cable tie.DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0011] This invention is an integral, one-piece molded multiloop cable tie accessory having a locking mechanism on both ends, which allows the ratchet toothed strap of a typical cable tie to easily be inserted into the locking mechanisms, but which resists pull-out of the strap from the locking mechanisms,

Claims

1. A cable tie accessory having the locking mechanism of a typical cable tie on both ends with a varying gap between said locking mechanisms, used to allow for multiple loops in a single cable tie.
