CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0001] This application claims the benefit of priority from Chinese Patent Application No. 202521974221.9, filed on Sep. 15, 2025. The content of the aforementioned application, including any intervening amendments thereto, is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.TECHNICAL FIELD

[0002] This application relates to umbrellas, and more particularly to an umbrella support frame.BACKGROUND

[0003] Traditionally, umbrellas are used as a daily tool for sheltering from rain and sun. With the growing diversity of people's activities, the application of umbrellas has been increasingly diversified, for example, the umbrellas have been frequently used in various marketing activities and disaster relief operations. The umbrella support frame, as a critical component, enables rapid deployment and folding of the umbrella, bringing significant convenience to our daily life.

[0004] The conventional umbrella support frame typically includes a main pole, a base and a plurality of ribs. Although the existing support frames can achieve the rapid deployment and folding, they still suffer from insufficient structural stability during use. Upon deployment, support points between adjacent ribs merely rely on friction at hinge joints. Under strong wind conditions, the ribs tend to sway, which will potentially cause deformation at the hinge joints, or even structural loosening and overturning. The stability of the frame structure directly impacts the use experience and service life.

[0005] Chinese Patent Application No. 201720458346.5 discloses an upward-folding umbrella frame, in which the overall structural stability is enhanced by securing the support pole to several mounting sleeves on a first connecting part and a second connecting part using adhesive. However, the adhesive is prone to aging and detachment after prolonged use, which will weaken the connection stability between the support rod and connecting parts, thereby compromising the stability and service life of the umbrella frame.

[0006] Therefore, there is a need to provide an umbrella support frame with simple structure, strong stability in a deployment state and extended service life.SUMMARY

[0007] An object of this disclosure is to provide an umbrella support frame featuring a simple structure. A dual-limiting fixation is enabled by setting an engagement groove and a retaining boss, effectively limiting the shaking of the umbrella support frame after it is deployed under an external force and enhancing the stability of the umbrella support frame in the deployed state.

[0017] the movable base is provided with a plurality of second side surfaces; a number of the plurality of second side surfaces is equal to the number of the plurality of rib assemblies; an end of a side wall of the movable base away from the first hinge groove is provided with a second hinge groove; the auxiliary rib is hinged to the second hinge groove; and the movable base is configured to pull the auxiliary rib and control the main rib to open or close through the connecting part.

[0018] In some embodiments, a horizontal distance between the first hinge groove and the second hinge groove is the same as a width of the connecting part, so as to prevent the main rib, the connecting part and the auxiliary rib from shifting when the plurality of rib assemblies are deployed, further improving structural stability of the umbrella support frame.

[0019] In some embodiments, the connecting part is configured as an L-shaped structure having a first side and a second side; the first side of the connecting part is longer than the second side of the connecting part; an end of the first side is provided with a first hinge portion; the first hinge portion is hinged to an end of the main rib away from the first hinge groove; an end of the second side is provided with a second hinge portion; and the second hinge portion is hinged to an end of the auxiliary rib away from the second hinge groove.

[0020] In some embodiments, an inner side of the movable base is provided with a sleeve; and an inner wall of the sleeve is slidably connected to an outer wall of the main shaft to enable smooth operation of the plurality of rib assemblies during both deployment and retraction processes, reducing operational resistance.

[0021] In some embodiments, the engagement groove is arranged at the lower portion of the connecting part; and the engagement groove has an arc-shaped contour configured to fit the main rib. [0023] In some embodiments, an end of the connecting part away from the main shaft is provided with a support rod; and the support rod is configured to extend outward along a length direction of the first side of the connecting part to support an umbrella canopy, thereby making the umbrella canopy flatter in the deployed state.

[0024] Compared to the prior art, the present disclosure has the following beneficial effects.

[0025] The umbrella support frame provided herein achieves dual-limiting fixation through two mechanisms. First, the engagement groove of the connecting part is engaged with the main rib. Second, the retaining boss of the auxiliary rib abuts against the connecting part. The dual-limiting fixation effectively restricts shaking of the umbrella support frame after deployment and improves the stability of the umbrella support frame in the deployed state. As a result, the structural strength and service life of the umbrella support frame are enhanced.

[0026] The horizontal distance between the first hinge groove and the second hinge groove is the same as the width of the connecting part. This reasonable structural design ensures precise positioning of all components when the umbrella support frame is deployed, further improving the structural stability of the umbrella support frame.

[0027] The sleeve inside the movable base is slidably connected to the main shaft. This design enables the smooth operation of the plurality of rib assemblies during both deployment and retraction processes. It reduces operational resistance and improves ease of use.

[0028] The engagement groove is configured to fit the cross-sectional contour of the main rib. This enhances the fitting engagement between the connecting part and the main rib, thereby improving the load-bearing capacity and stability of this connection.

[0029] The ramp extends from the retaining boss toward the connecting part. When the plurality of rib assemblies are deployed, the ramp inclinedly abuts against the lower portion of the connecting part. This prevents the auxiliary rib from flipping under external forces and further improves the overall stability and deformation resistance of the umbrella support frame.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0036] Referring to FIGS. 1-5, the present disclosure provides an umbrella support frame, including a main shaft 1, a fixing base 2, a movable base 3 and a plurality of rib assemblies 4. The fixing base 2 is detachably arranged at a top of the main shaft 1. The movable base 3 is slidably connected to the main shaft 1.

[0037] Each of the plurality of rib assemblies 4 includes a main rib 41, a connecting part 42 and an auxiliary rib 43. A first end of the main rib 41 is hinged to the fixing base 2. A second end of the main rib 41 is hinged to a first end of the connecting part 42. A second end of the connecting part 42 is hinged to a first end of the auxiliary rib 43. A second end of the auxiliary rib 43 is hinged to the movable base 3.

[0038] Referring to FIG. 2, a side of the connecting part 42 close to the main rib 41 is provided with an engagement groove 421. In response to a deployed state of the plurality of rib assemblies 4, the engagement groove 421 is engaged with a main body of the main rib 41. A side of the auxiliary rib 43 close to the connecting part 42 is provided with a retaining boss 431. In response to the deployed state of the plurality of rib assemblies 4, the retaining boss 431 is configured to abut against a lower portion of the connecting part 42, so as to enhance the stability of the plurality of rib assemblies 4 in the deployed state. The dual-limiting fixation of the engagement groove 421 and the retaining boss 431 effectively restricts the shaking of the plurality of rib assemblies 4 after deployment and improves the stability of the umbrella support frame in the deployed state. As a result, the structural strength and service life of the umbrella support frame are enhanced.

[0039] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 3, the fixing base 2 is provided with a plurality of first side surfaces. A number of the plurality of first side surfaces is equal to a number of the plurality of rib assemblies 4. An end of a side wall of the fixing base 2 is provided with a first hinge groove 21. The main rib 41 is hinged to the first hinge groove 21. The movable base 3 is provided with a plurality of second side surfaces. A number of the plurality of second side surfaces is equal to a number of the plurality of rib assemblies 4. An end of a side wall of the movable base 3 away from the first hinge groove 21 is provided with a second hinge groove 31. The auxiliary rib 43 is hinged to the second hinge groove 31. The movable base 3 is configured to pull the auxiliary rib 43 and control the main rib 41 to open or close through the connecting part 42, achieving the deployment and retraction of the plurality of rib assemblies 4.

[0040] In some embodiments, a horizontal distance between the first hinge groove 21 and the second hinge groove 31 is the same as a width of the connecting part 42, so as to prevent the main rib 41, the connecting part 42 and the auxiliary rib 43 from shifting when the plurality of rib assemblies 4 are deployed, further improving the structural stability of the umbrella support frame.

[0041] In some embodiments, an inner side of the movable base 3 is provided with a sleeve 32. An inner wall of the sleeve 32 is slidably connected to an outer wall of the main shaft 1 to enable the smooth operation of the plurality of rib assemblies 4 during both the deployment and retraction processes, reducing operational resistance.

[0042] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 4, the connecting part 42 is configured as an L-shaped structure having a first side and a second side. The first side of the connecting part 42 is longer than the second side of the connecting part 42. An end of the first side is provided with a first hinge portion 422. The first hinge portion 422 is hinged to an end of the main rib 41 away from the first hinge groove 21. An end of the second side of the connecting part 42 is provided with a second hinge portion 423. The second hinge portion 423 is hinged to an end of the auxiliary rib 43 away from the second hinge groove 31.

[0043] In some embodiments, an end of the connecting part 42 away from the main shaft 1 is provided with a support rod 424. The support rod 424 is configured to extend outward along a length direction of the first side of the connecting part 42 to support an umbrella canopy, thereby making the umbrella canopy flatter in the deployed state.

[0044] In some embodiments, referring to FIG. 5, the engagement groove 421 is arranged at the lower portion of the connecting part 42. This configuration restricts the main rib 41 from moving downward relative to the connecting part 42, thereby providing support to the main rib 41 in the deployed state and preventing it from sagging or deforming due to external forces. Moreover, the engagement groove 421 has an arc-shaped surface contour configured to fit the main rib 41. This enhances the fitting engagement between the connecting part 42 and the main rib 41, so as to prevent relative displacement therebetween, and improve the load-bearing capacity and stability of the connection therebetween in the deployed state of the plurality of rib assemblies 4.

[0045] In some embodiments, a side of the retaining boss 431 close to the connecting part 42 is provided with a ramp 432 extending toward the connecting part 42. In response to the deployed state of the plurality of rib assemblies 4, the ramp 432 is configured to inclinedly abut against the lower portion of the connecting part 42 to limit the connection between the auxiliary rib 43 and the connection part 42. When the connecting part 42 is impacted by strong winds or external forces, the ramp 432 supports a downward force applied to the connecting part 42. Meanwhile, the connecting part 42 is supported by the engagement groove 421, such that the dual-limiting fixation is enabled to prevent the auxiliary rib 43 from overturning, thus improving the structural stability and anti-deformation capability of the umbrella support frame.

[0046] During use, the user holds the main shaft 1 and controls the movable base 3 to slide upward along the main shaft 1, so as to drive the auxiliary rib 43 upward and pull the main rib 41 through the connecting part 42 to open. After deployment, the engagement groove 421 at the lower portion of the connecting part 42 is tightly engaged with the main body of the main rib 41, and a lower surface of the connecting part 42 abuts against the ramp 432 of the retaining boss 431. At this stage, when subjected to strong winds or other external forces, the ramp 432 bears a force exerted by the umbrella canopy on the connecting part 42, while the engagement between the engagement groove 421 and the main rib 41 provides support for the plurality of rib assemblies 4. Consequently, the dual-limiting fixation is enabled for the connecting part 42, which prevents the auxiliary rib 43 from flipping under external forces, thereby improving the overall stability and deformation resistance of the umbrella support frame. After use, the user controls the movable base 3 to slide downward along the main shaft 1, so as to drive the auxiliary rib 43 downward and pull the main rib 41 through the connecting part 42 to close, thereby completing the retraction of the umbrella support frame.

[0047] The embodiments described above are merely preferable embodiments, and are not intended to limit this disclosure. Any improvements, equivalent replacements and changes made by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit of the disclosure shall fall with the scope of the disclosure defined by the appended claims.
