Abstract
Description
[0001] The present patent application claims the priority of German patent application DE 10 2022 210 508.7, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
[0002] The invention relates to a material web unwinding assembly for unwinding a material web, such as a paper web, cardboard web or the like, for example in order to form a corrugated cardboard web, such as a corrugated cardboard web laminated on one or both sides. Furthermore, the invention relates to an installation, for example a corrugated cardboard installation, comprising at least one such material web unwinding assembly. The invention also relates to a corresponding method.
[0003] It is known from the prior the art through overt prior use to install accident-prevention light curtains on material web unwinding assemblies in order to protect individuals from accidents, among other things. The accident-prevention light curtains operate without contact and form a field of beams in order to secure the hazardous region around the relevant material web unwinding assembly. Interruption of one or more beam paths triggers a command, such as switching off all or part of the material web unwinding assembly. The disadvantage here is that, despite the accident-prevention light curtains, accidents will keep occurring. False triggering also occasionally occurs, which often affects production.
[0004] The object of the invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, a material web unwinding assembly is to be provided that offers particularly high and reliable protection. False triggering should be prevented. A corresponding installation comprising at least one such material web unwinding assembly and a corresponding method are also to be provided.
[0005] This object is achieved according to the invention by the features specified in the main claims 1, 11 and 13. The core of the invention lies in a first region safety device that is capable of securing a (hazardous) region or an area that extends adjacent to the material web unwinding assembly or first unwinding device.
[0006] The first region safety device advantageously operates without contact and is, for example, reliably able to protect individuals from injuries or accidents, such as during operation of the first unwinding device. During operation, it preferably forms a particularly close-meshed protective field of beams, in particular laser beams, which has, for example, a (maximum) extension of between 2 m and 5 m from the respective first safety device. The first region safety device is preferably capable of detecting or recognizing an unauthorized or authorized material web roll, an unauthorized or authorized transport device, a person and / or another unauthorized or authorized object. The first region safety device eliminates the need for intervention by an individual (operator) during the operation of the material web unwinding assembly. Preferably, it is able to meet a performance level d.
[0007] It is advantageous if the at least one first safety device is designed as a scanner, in particular a laser scanner. Preferably, between two and four first safety devices are present. These are preferably arranged at a distance from one another. It is expedient if the first safety devices are structurally identical. They can also be structurally different or have different performance characteristics.
[0008] The frame is rigid and preferably has a base, a stand and a support. It is preferably fixed in / onto a floor or substrate.
[0009] It is expedient if the first unwinding device comprises a first braking unit that is capable of applying a first braking force to the first material web roll as it is being unwound.
[0010] The first receiving device is, for example, axially displaceable and / or tiltable. It preferably comprises at least one holding mandrel that is capable of engaging axially into the first material web roll or into its central support sleeve. The first roll of material is supported in this way and then preferably extends horizontally. It is kept at a distance from the ground. Advantageously, the first receiving device has two opposing holding mandrels that, during use, engage into the material web roll or into its support sleeve at opposite ends.
[0011] The first displacement device comprises, for example, at least one first displacement drive. It is expedient if it is capable of vertically displacing, in particular pivoting, the first receiving device between the unwinding position and the material web roll changing position. The at least one first displacement drive is designed, for example, as a hydraulic, pneumatic or electric drive. It is preferably variable in length and is preferably designed as a piston-cylinder unit. The first receiving device and the displacement device are preferably directly or indirectly connected to one another.
[0012] The unwinding position of the first receiving device is preferably located above the material web roll changing position of the first receiving device. In the unwinding position of the first receiving device, the first material web is unrolled during operation of the material web unwinding assembly. In the material web roll changing position, the first receiving device is capable of receiving a new first material web roll or releasing an old first material web roll, such as one that is already at least partially used.
[0013] It is expedient if at least one sensor, such as an angle sensor, camera or the like, detects the unwinding position and / or material web changing position or a corresponding position of the first displacement device or the first receiving device. Advantageously, corresponding position signals are transmitted, directly or indirectly, to a safety processing unit.
[0014] Preferably, the material web unwinding assembly is capable of operating automatically, for example semi-automatically or fully automatically, in particular of receiving and / or delivering a first material web roll.
[0015] A material web roll is understood here to be a roll that is new / full and therefore carries the finite material web or one that is empty and therefore does not carry / no longer carries any material web, or carries an intermediate amount of material web, such as a remainder of said material web.
[0016] The transport device is designed, for example, as a floor, underfloor or above-floor transport device. Material web rolls can preferably be transported to the material web unwinding assembly and / or transferred to the material web unwinding assembly in an automated or driverless manner. They can preferably be removed from the material web unwinding assembly and / or picked up by the material web unwinding assembly in an automated or driverless manner. The transport device preferably has at least one drive. It is expedient for the transport device to comprise at least one of its own safety devices, such as a camera, scanner or the like, in particular if it is capable of autonomous operation or transport and is designed as a transport cart. The at least one safety device of the transport device, if present, is, for example, capable of stopping the transport device immediately if a hazard is detected.
[0017] The transport device is, for example, an industrial truck, such as a transport cart, that is preferably capable of transporting rolls of material autonomously or automatically. It preferably has a running unit, such as a wheel unit, chain unit or the like, for support against a substrate or floor. The transport device advantageously comprises its own energy storage unit and is capable of receiving travel signals or operating signals during operation. It is preferably able to communicate, directly or indirectly, with the safety processing unit. A safety device / safety devices of the transport device, if present, face(s), for example, the front, the side and / or the rear.
[0018] Alternatively, the transport device is designed, for example, as an (endless) conveyor transport device, such as a conveyor chain transport device, for transporting the material web rolls or a rail transport device for transporting the material web rolls on rails.
[0019] It is expedient for the material web unwinding assembly to be symmetrical with respect to a plane of symmetry.
[0020] Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.
[0021] The safety fields that can be generated by the first safety device according to dependent claim 2 are imaginary and not visible. It is advantageous if safety fields are present simultaneously. It is expedient if safety fields extend away from the material web unwinding assembly and / or extend at least partially along said material web unwinding assembly, such as at least partially along the first unwinding device. The safety fields can have the same shapes and / or sizes during operation. The safety fields make it possible to detect or identify irregularities such as unauthorized entry into the hazardous region, for example by an individual (operator), a material web roll, a transport device and / or another object. The safety fields are preferably freely configurable.
[0022] The material web unwinding device according to dependent claim 3 is particularly reliable and not susceptible to failure. The safety fields offer a particularly large detection or capture region. They preferably extend horizontally.
[0023] The design according to dependent claim 4 is also particularly functionally reliable and resistant to faults. It is expedient if the safety fields adjacent to the first safety device generating them overlap in some regions. Advantageously, the safety fields also have non-overlapping regions.
[0024] The safety fields according to dependent claim 5 have, for example, during operation an (essentially) rectangular, trapezoidal, triangular and / or circular sector-shaped, for example a part-circular, for example a semicircular, shape. Combinations are possible. It is advantageous if the shapes and sizes of the safety fields remain constant during operation. The shapes and / or sizes depend, for example, on spatial conditions and / or transport paths of the material web rolls or at least one transport device.
[0025] The material web unwinding assembly according to dependent claim 6 is also particularly functionally reliable and not susceptible to faults. For example, the safety fields extend from the particular first safety device in opposite directions, diagonally or perpendicular to each other. It is expedient if at least one safety field extends along the first receiving device and / or perpendicular thereto.
[0026] According to dependent claim 7, the interruption(s) of the safety fields, in particular the temporal or logical sequence, is / are preferably monitored. Advantageously, the first region safety device or a safety processing unit recognizes an interruption of the safety fields that occurs during proper transport, removal, reception and / or delivery of the first material web roll. An irregularity can therefore be identified if there is a deviation therefrom, for example if an individual or an object in the hazardous region interrupts the safety fields in a sequence other than the predetermined or fixed (temporal) sequence.
[0027] The embodiment according to dependent claim 8 results in a material web unwinding assembly that is extremely functionally reliable and simple. The at least one first safety device is stationary or immobile. The first safety device and the first receiving device or first displacement device are thus movable relative to one another.
[0028] The embodiment according to dependent claim 9 permits, for example, reliable detection or capture of individuals and / or material web rolls that are being transported or removed.
[0029] With the design according to dependent claim 10, functionally reliable, trouble-free detection of individuals and / or material web rolls is again possible. The at least one first safety device is arranged, for example, directly below the first displacement device on the frame or (laterally) offset below the first displacement device on the frame.
[0030] It is expedient if the material web unwinding assembly comprises a second unwinding device for unwinding a finite second material web from a second material web roll. The second unwinding device is preferably designed like the first unwinding device. Advantageously, the finite second material web is designed like the finite first material web. The material web unwinding assembly is preferably designed as a material web splicing assembly that is capable of producing or unwinding a continuous material web, in particular for the production of corrugated cardboard, from the finite first and second material webs. Advantageously, a second region safety device is also provided, which is designed like the first region safety device and operates in an analogous manner. Safety fields of the first and second region safety devices are preferably arranged at a distance from one another during operation. For example, they run symmetrically to each other.
[0031] The safety processing unit according to dependent claim 12 is preferably of an electrical or electronic type. It is, for example, part of the material web unwinding assembly or of a higher-level safety processing unit. Region signals are signals that characterize the secured region. They are electrical in nature and form safety signals.
[0032] The safety processing unit is, for example, in a hazardous situation capable of stopping or slowing down hazardous movements during production. In a hazardous situation, it is capable of stopping or slowing down at least one transport device in order to prevent an accident, for example one involving personal injury. For example, it is alternatively or additionally capable of completely stopping or slowing down the first unwinding device in a detected hazardous situation, or alternatively of stopping or slowing down at least one individual function of said first unwinding device, such as unwinding the first material web roll, raising and / or lowering said first material web roll, in order to prevent an accident. For example, an additional visual or acoustic warning signal can be output.
[0033] The signal processing unit is capable of receiving and processing signals such as region signals or safety signals. It is also preferably capable of outputting signals such as actuation signals or error signals.
[0034] The statements regarding dependent claim 12 apply substantially analogously to dependent claim 14.
[0035] According to dependent claim 15, a sequence, in particular a temporal or logical sequence, of the interruption of the safety fields is preferably monitored. Advantageously, the safety processing unit recognizes an interruption of the safety fields that occurs during proper transport, removal, reception and / or delivery of the first material web roll. An irregularity can therefore be detected if there is a deviation therefrom, for example if an individual or an object in the hazardous region interrupts the safety fields in a sequence other than the predetermined or fixed (temporal) sequence.
[0036] The signal connections specified here are, for example, wireless connections. Alternatively, wired signal connections may also be provided.
[0037] Dependent claims 2 to 10 and 12 also relate to preferred developments of the method according to independent claim 13.
[0038] A preferred embodiment of the invention is described below by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the figures:
[0039] FIG. 1 is a simplified side view of a material web unwinding assembly according to the invention with two material web rolls having been received,
[0040] FIG. 2 is basically a partial view of the material web unwinding assembly illustrated in FIG. 1, the receiving devices or displacement arms being shown in different positions and the material web rolls being omitted for illustrative reasons,
[0041] FIG. 3 is a partial view corresponding to FIG. 2, in which the two unwinding devices are in their material web roll changing position,
[0042] FIG. 4 is a plan view illustrating the material web unwinding assembly according to FIG. 1 to 3, the material web rolls and parts of the material web unwinding assembly being omitted for illustrative reasons,
[0043] FIG. 5 is a plan view corresponding to FIG. 4, safety fields generated by a first safety device also being shown for illustrative reasons,
[0044] FIG. 6 is a plan view corresponding to FIG. 5, further safety fields being generated by the first safety device by way of example,
[0045] FIG. 7 is a plan view corresponding to FIG. 5, the entire safety field being shown, and
[0046] FIG. 8 is a plan view illustrating the transport of a material web roll to the material web unwinding assembly with the region safety devices active according to FIG. 7.
[0047] A corrugated board installation (not shown in its entirety in the figures) comprises a known corrugated board production assembly for producing a single-sided laminated corrugated board web (not shown). Such a corrugated cardboard production assembly is also generally referred to as a ‘single facer’ and has a fluting apparatus comprising fluted rollers for producing from a material web a corrugated web having a corrugation. To bond the corrugated web to a smooth web, the corrugated cardboard production assembly has a glue application device that applies glue to peaks of the corrugated web. The corrugated cardboard production assembly has a pressing module for pressing the smooth web against the glued corrugated web, so that a corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side is produced from the corrugated web and smooth web.
[0048] A first material web unwinding assembly for unwinding or providing a continuous material web 1 and a further or second material web unwinding assembly (not shown) for unwinding or providing a further or second continuous material web (not shown) are arranged upstream of the corrugated cardboard production assembly.
[0049] For example, the corrugated web can be produced from the continuous material web 1, which is part of the corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side and is also continuous. Alternatively, the continuous material web 1 forms the smooth web or cover web of the corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side. The smooth web is also continuous.
[0050] The corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side is preferably glued to another continuous smooth web or laminated web or corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side to form a corrugated cardboard web laminated on both sides that has, for example, three or five layers. The further continuous smooth web and / or corrugated cardboard web laminated on one side can also be formed by the continuous material web 1.
[0051] The corrugated cardboard web laminated on both sides is preferably cut into partially corrugated cardboard web. Corrugated cardboard sheets are preferably produced from the corrugated cardboard web laminated on both sides or the partial corrugated cardboard webs.
[0052] Because the two material web unwinding assemblies are preferably identical, only one of the material web unwinding assemblies will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. Its structural design will be explained first.
[0053] The material web unwinding assembly comprises a first unwinding device 3 for unwinding a finite first material web from a first material web roll 2 and a second unwinding device 14 for unwinding a finite second material web 4 from a second material web roll 5.
[0054] The finite first material web and the finite second material web 4 are firmly bonded to one another, in particular by means of a splice or adhesive tape (not shown), in order to provide the continuous material web 1 in the material web unwinding assembly. The adhesive tape can be applied manually or mechanically, for example. It is preferably adhesive on both sides.
[0055] The material web unwinding assembly has a frame 6 comprising a frame base 7, a frame stand 8 and a frame support 9. The frame base 7 is fixed in / onto a floor or substrate 10, such as a hall floor. The frame stand 8 is attached to the top of the frame base 7. The frame stand 8 extends substantially vertically or perpendicularly to the floor 10. The frame stand 8 and / or frame base 7 are each formed, for example, by two side parts. The frame support 9 is arranged at an upper end region of the frame stand 8 opposite the frame base 7 and runs substantially parallel to the floor 10. It extends at a distance from the floor 10.
[0056] The first unwinding device 3 has a first receiving device 11 for receiving the first material web roll 2, which receiving device, in the received state of the first material web roll 2, is guided into a central opening (not shown) of the first material web roll 2. The first receiving device 11 comprises two holding mandrels that are arranged on two first displacement arms 12 of the first unwinding device 3, which displacement arms run parallel to one another and project from there toward one another. The first displacement arms 12 are pivotably mounted about a first pivot axis 13.
[0057] The second unwinding device 14 is designed corresponding to the first unwinding device 3. It has a second receiving device 15 for receiving the second material web roll 5, which receiving device, in the received state of the second material web roll 5, is guided into a central opening (not shown) of the second material web roll 5. The second receiving device 15 comprises two holding mandrels that are arranged on two second displacement arms 16 of the second unwinding device 14, which displacement arms run parallel to one another and project from there toward one another. The second displacement arms 16 are pivotably mounted about a second pivot axis 17. The pivot axes 13, 17 run horizontally and parallel to one another. The unwinding devices 3, 14 can be operated independently of one another.
[0058] The first displacement arms 12 and the second displacement arms 16 extend from the frame base 7 and / or the frame stand 8. The first displacement arms 12 and the second displacement arms 16 are pivotably mounted on the frame base 7 and / or the frame stand 8 and are arranged opposite one another relative to the frame base 7 or the frame stand 8.
[0059] The first displacement arms 12 are part of a first displacement device and are in driving connection with at least one first displacement drive 18. They can preferably be displaced independently of each other.
[0060] The second displacement arms 16 are part of a second displacement device and are in driving connection with at least one second displacement drive 19. They can preferably be displaced independently of each other.
[0061] The first and second displacement arms 12 and 16 can each be pivoted between a lower material web roll changing position and an upper unwinding position. Accordingly, the first or second receiving device 11 or 15, optionally with material web roll 2 or 5, can be pivoted. In FIG. 2, the first displacement arms 12, shown as solid lines, are in the material web roll changing position, while the second displacement arms 16, shown as solid lines, are in their unwinding position.
[0062] As shown in FIG. 1, the frame support 9 carries on the underside a first feed roller 20 and a second feed roller 21 of the material web unwinding assembly. The finite first material web can be fed via the first feed roller 20 to a cutting and bonding device or splicing device of the material web unwinding assembly, while the finite second material web 4 can be fed via the second feed roller 21 to the cutting and bonding device or splicing device. Each feed roller 20, 21 is rotatably mounted on a support arm 22 or 23, which for tensioning the particular finite material web 4 is pivotably mounted on the frame support 9 above the particular material web roll 2 or 5.
[0063] The cutting and bonding device is used to produce the continuous material web 1 from the finite first and second material webs 4. It comprises, for example, a first preparation device 24, a second preparation device 25, a first bonding device 26, a second bonding device 27, a table apparatus (not shown) and a guide (not shown).
[0064] The guide runs straight in / on the frame support 9 and parallel to the floor 10.
[0065] Each preparation device 24, 25 has its own displacement drive for its displacement in preparation for the bonding together of the finite material web 4 along the guide.
[0066] Each bonding device 26, 27 is capable of bonding a web end of a finite material web to a web start of a further finite material web by means of an adhesive tape. The bonding devices 26, 27 are arranged at a distance from one another along the guide. They are arranged on the frame support 9 above the guide or the preparation devices 24, 25. Each bonding device 26, 27 preferably comprises a cutting unit for severing a material web after bonding.
[0067] The preparation devices 24, 25 and the table apparatus can be displaced relative to the bonding devices 26, 27.
[0068] The table apparatus is arranged between the two preparation devices 24, 25 and, like the preparation devices 24, 25, can be displaced along the guide. Depending on its particular position, said table apparatus interacts with the first preparation device 24, the second preparation device 25, the first bonding device 26 or the second bonding device 27 and can be displaced along the guide, in particular independently of these.
[0069] A first deflection roller 28 is arranged downstream of the cutting and bonding device in a transport direction of the continuous material web 1, which first deflection roller is rotatably mounted on a storage cart (not shown) of the material web unwinding assembly. The storage cart is arranged in the region of an upper end of the frame support 9 facing away from the frame stand 8 and can be displaced along a storage cart guide (not shown) that extends parallel to the floor 10 and above the guide. The storage cart guide determines a displacement path for the storage cart and extends substantially along the entire frame support 9.
[0070] During the operation of the material web unwinding assembly or the corrugated cardboard installation, it may happen that the web tension of the continuous material web 1 changes, which leads to an automatic or autonomous displacement of the storage cart along the storage cart guide and thus also leads to an automatic or autonomous change in the storage quantity of the continuous material web 1 in the material web unwinding assembly.
[0071] In order to deflect the continuous material web 1, a second deflection roller 30 is rotatably mounted on the frame support 9 in the region of a material web outlet 29 of the material web unwinding assembly. With respect to the transport direction of the continuous material web 1, a third deflection roller 31 is arranged downstream of the second deflection roller 30, which third deflection roller is also rotatably mounted on the storage cart.
[0072] According to FIG. 1, the second material web roll 5 is active. The finite second material web 4 is unwound from the second material web roll 5 and thus conveyed. It will eventually come to an end. The finite first material web will then be adhesively bonded to the finite second material web 4 or to the continuous material web 1 and unwound.
[0073] The finite second material web 4 is guided to the cutting and bonding device via the second feed roller 21 as shown in FIG. 1. It is passed between the preparation devices 24, 25. In addition, it is passed between the first preparation device 24 and the second bonding device 27. It is also passed between the second bonding device 27 and the first bonding device 26. The preparation devices 24, 25 and bonding devices 26, 27 are at this time essentially inactive.
[0074] Downstream of the cutting and bonding device, the continuous material web 1 is guided around the first deflection roller 28. It is then guided around the second deflection roller 30 and then around the third deflection roller 31. It then runs to the material web outlet 29.
[0075] The finite first material web coming from the first material web roll 2 is held in a waiting position by the cutting and bonding device, for example, so that it can be bonded to the finite second material web 4 in order to form the continuous material web 1, if required. The first unwinding device 3 is currently inactive according to FIG. 1.
[0076] The material web unwinding assembly makes it possible for the continuous material web 1 to be provided continuously. It can also be designed differently. A generic material web unwinding assembly is known, for example, from EP 3 231 750 A1 or the parallel US 2017 / 297849A1, to which reference is made with regard to the specific structure and operation as well as to the detailed function.
[0077] As illustrated, a first safety device 32 is arranged on the frame 6 under each first displacement arm 12, for example on the outside, which first safety device is part of a first region safety device. Overall, the material web unwinding assembly comprises two first safety devices 32 that are arranged horizontally spaced from one another.
[0078] A second safety device 33 is arranged on the frame 6 under every second displacement arm 16, for example on the outside, which second safety device is part of a second region safety device. Overall, the material web unwinding assembly therefore comprises two second safety devices 33 that are arranged horizontally spaced from one another.
[0079] The first safety devices 32 and second safety devices 33 are arranged in a fixed position at the bottom end of the frame 6, in particular on its frame base 7 and / or frame stand 8.
[0080] Each first safety device 32 is arranged adjacent to a first displacement arm 12 on the frame 6. For example, the two first safety devices 32 are arranged between the first displacement arms 12 or directly vertically thereunder on the frame 6. They are each directed away from the second unwinding device 14.
[0081] Each second safety device 33 is arranged adjacent to a second displacement arm 16 on the frame 6. For example, the two second safety devices 33 are arranged between the second displacement arms 16 or directly vertically thereunder on the frame 6. They are each directed away from the first unwinding device 3.
[0082] The first safety devices 32 are arranged opposite the second safety devices 33.
[0083] Each first and second safety device 32 or 33 is at least temporarily, preferably continuously or constantly (FIG. 2), in signal connection with a safety processing unit 34.
[0084] As FIG. 5 illustrates by way of example, a first safety device 32 is capable of generating, in particular continuously, a rectangular first safety field 35 during operation. The first safety field 35 extends evenly on both sides from the first corresponding first safety device 32 and extends parallel to the first pivot axis 13. It also runs perpendicular to the first pivot axis 13 away from the material web unwinding assembly or second unwinding device 14 over the adjacent first displacement arm 12. The first displacement arm 12 arranged adjacent to the first safety device 32 is located at least partially, preferably at least largely, within the first safety field 35.
[0085] The first safety device 32 also generates, during operation, in particular continuously, a second safety field 36 that has, for example, the shape of a right triangle and extends largely laterally next to the first safety field 35. The second safety field 36 extends from the corresponding first safety device 32 parallel to the first pivot axis 13 to the outside or away from the other first safety device 32. Furthermore, like the first safety field 35, said second safety field extends perpendicular to the first pivot axis 13 away from the material web unwinding assembly or second unwinding device 14. As the distance from the first safety device 32 along the first pivot axis 13 increases, the extent of the second safety field 36 perpendicular to the first pivot axis 13 increases. The second safety field 36 forms a laterally outer safety field.
[0086] The first safety field 35 and the second safety field 36 extend, for example, an identical amount away from the corresponding first safety device 32 perpendicular to the first pivot axis 13. They overlap adjacent to the corresponding first safety device 32.
[0087] The first safety device 32 is also capable of generating, in particular continuously, a third safety field 37 that is again designed as a right triangle and extends from the first safety device 32 in the opposite direction to the second safety field 36. It runs from the corresponding first safety device 32 parallel to the first pivot axis 13 in the direction of the other first safety device 32 and preferably over said other first safety device and the first displacement arm 12 arranged there. As the distance of the third safety field 37 from the corresponding first safety device 32 along the first pivot axis 13 increases, the extent of the third safety field 37 perpendicular to the first pivot axis 13 increases. The third safety field 37 covers a central region or material web roll receiving region of the first unwinding device 3.
[0088] The maximum extent of the third safety field 37 perpendicular to the first pivot axis 13 is, for example, between 20% and 60%, preferably between 30% and 50%, of the maximum extent of the first safety field 35 away from the corresponding first safety device 32 perpendicular to the first pivot axis 13.
[0089] The first safety field 35 and the third safety field 37 overlap adjacent to the corresponding first safety device 32.
[0090] The first safety field 35 is arranged between the second safety field 36 and the third safety field 37.
[0091] The first safety field 35, second safety field 36 and third safety field 37 each have aligned baselines that extend adjacent to the first pivot axis 13 and parallel thereto.
[0092] The safety fields 35, 36, 37 cover the first unwinding device 3 and, for example, the transport of first material web rolls 2 thereto and the removal of first material web rolls 2 therefrom.
[0093] The other first safety device 32 is, for example, capable of generating corresponding safety fields 35, 36, 37, which then, among other things, cover another side region of the material web unwinding device, thus ensuring improved, large-area safety. These safety fields 35, 36, 37 of the first two safety devices 32 jointly cover the first unwinding device 3 and, for example, the transport of first material web rolls 2 thereto and the removal of first material web rolls 2 therefrom. Both first safety devices 32 are preferably active during operation of the material web unwinding assembly. They can be symmetrical to one another during operation. Safety fields 37 of the first safety devices 32 overlap. The safety fields 35, 36, 37 generated by the first two safety devices 32 can also differ from one another.
[0094] The second safety devices 33 are also capable of generating corresponding safety fields 35, 36, 37 that extend relative to the material web unwinding assembly opposite to the safety fields 35, 36, 37 generated by the first safety devices 32. The safety fields 35, 36, 37 generated by the second safety devices 33 cover the second unwinding device 14 and, for example, the transport of second material web rolls 5 thereto and the removal of second material web rolls 5 therefrom. Both second safety devices 33 are preferably active during operation of the material web unwinding assembly. Advantageously, the first and second safety devices 32, 33 are active simultaneously. The second safety devices 33 are also capable of generating other safety fields. The safety fields 35, 36, 37 generated by the first and second safety devices 32, 33 can differ from one another.
[0095] As shown in FIG. 6, the one first safety device 32 alternatively generates, during operation, a plurality of, for example between two and six, first safety fields 35 arranged parallel to the first pivot axis 13 and laterally offset from one another. The first safety fields 35 largely overlap. During operation, said first safety device also generates a plurality of, between two and six, second safety fields 36 arranged parallel to the first pivot axis 13 and laterally offset from one another. The second safety fields 36 largely overlap. During operation, the first safety device 32 also generates a plurality of, between two and six, third safety fields 37 arranged parallel to the first pivot axis 13 and laterally offset from one another. The third safety fields 37 largely overlap. The first safety fields 35 overlap the second and third safety fields 36, 37 adjacent to the first safety device 32.
[0096] The other first safety device 32 is capable of generating corresponding safety fields 35, 36, 37 or other safety fields. The second safety devices 33 are also capable of generating corresponding safety fields 35, 36, 37 or other safety fields.
[0097] According to FIG. 7, the two first safety devices 32 alternatively generate a common first safety field 38 during operation. The safety subfields generated by the first two safety devices 32 merge into one another. The common first safety field 38 extends uniformly laterally beyond the two first safety devices 32 parallel to the first pivot axis 13 and covers external regions. It also extends perpendicular to the first pivot axis 13 away from the second unwinding device 14 over the first displacement arms 12. The common first safety field 38 has a substantially elongated, polygonal shape. The extent parallel to the first pivot axis 13 is substantially greater than the extent perpendicular thereto. The common first safety field 38 has two side edges that run parallel to one another. It also has an outer terminal edge that runs perpendicular to the side edges. The common first safety field 38 is symmetrical.
[0098] The second safety devices 33 are capable of generating a corresponding common second safety field 39 that extends from the second safety devices 33 away from the first unwinding device 3.
[0099] FIG. 8 shows, by way of example, how a second material web roll 5 is transported and enters the common second safety field 39 according to FIG. 7 from the outside, parallel to the second pivot axis 17. The second material web roll 5 is transported by a transport cart 40 that has a plurality of running units, such as running wheels, and at least one own displacement drive. The transport cart 40 is driverless or self-driving. It is steerable. Preferably, it moves between the material web unwinding assembly and a material web roll storage. Advantageously, a plurality of transport carts 40 are available. These can preferably be controlled or moved in different ways. Instead of the transport cart 40, it is also possible to transport the goods via a conveyor chain or rail transport device or the like.
[0100] The operation of the material web unwinding assembly, for example with a transport cart 40, is described below.
[0101] Automatic operation of the material web unwinding assembly is started by actuating an actuating device, such as a pushbutton device, preferably once. It continues automatically until a material web roll 2 or 5 is received in the corresponding receiving device 11 or 15 or until the material web roll 2 or 5 is deposited from the corresponding receiving device 11 or 15 onto the transport cart 40.
[0102] To receive the material web roll 2 or 5 in the corresponding receiving device 11 or 15 from the transport cart 40, the following steps are carried out in automatic operation:
[0103] the transport of the corresponding material web roll 2 or 5 by means of a transport cart 40, preferably via a provided transport path or a prespecified side, is started by manually actuating the actuating device, for example by pressing it
[0104] the material web roll 2 or 5 is moved on the transport cart 40 to the receiving device 11 or 15
[0105] the transport of the material web roll 2 or 5 is stopped when the material web roll 2 or 5 is located centrally in relation to the receiving device 11 or 15
[0106] the displacement arms 12 and 16 are lowered from their upper unwinding position to the lower material web roll changing position by the particular displacement device, provided that they are not yet in the material web roll changing position
[0107] after the displacement arms 12 or 16 have reached the material web roll change position, the material web roll 2 or 5 is tensioned
[0108] the material web roll 2 or 5 is tensioned until it is reliably detected that the material web roll 2 or 5 has been tensioned
[0109] the material web roll 2 or 5 is displaced by the particular displacement device starting from the transport cart 40 upward into its unwinding position
[0110] the material web roll 2 or 5 is centrally aligned; that the corresponding material web roll 2 or 5 remains tensioned is preferably monitored
[0111] the reception of the material web roll 2 or 5 from the pick-up device 11 or 15 is completed and the automatic operation is stopped After reception is completed, the transport cart 40 leaves the region under the received material web roll 2 or 5. The start of the material web roll 2 or 5 can be inserted into the material web unwinding assembly manually or automatically.
[0112] Individual steps may be omitted. In the case of a different transport device, the steps indicated are (substantially) analogous.
[0113] To deposit the material web roll 2 or 5 from the corresponding receiving device 11 or 15 onto the transport cart 40, the following steps are carried out in automatic operation:
[0114] by manually actuating the actuating device, for example by pressing it, an empty transport cart 40 is prompted to transport the corresponding material web roll 2 or 5, which is for example a residual material web roll or empty roll, to the receiving device 11 or 15; the transport cart 40 aligns itself centrally opposite thereto
[0115] the material web roll 2 or 5 is deposited on the transport cart 40 by lowering it by means of the respective displacement device; the displacement arms 12 or 16 are displaced downward from the unwinding position into the material web roll changing position
[0116] the material web roll 2 or 5 is detensioned once it has been ensured that it is resting securely on the transport cart 40
[0117] the material web roll 2 or 5 is removed from the material web unwinding assembly via a provided transport path or a prespecified side
[0118] automatic operation is then terminated
[0119] Individual steps may be omitted. In the case of a different transport device, the steps indicated are (substantially) analogous.
[0120] To receive the material web roll 2 or 5 in the corresponding receiving device 11 or 15 from the transport cart 40, the following steps are carried out in a fully automatic operation:
[0121] the material web unwinding assembly sends a signal, for example to a higher-level processing unit, that it is ready to receive a material web roll 2 or 5
[0122] a transport cart 40 automatically moves a material web roll 2 or 5 to the center of the unwinding device 3 or 14 Otherwise, fully automatic operation is substantially the same as automatic operation. In the case of a different transport device, the steps indicated are (substantially) analogous.
[0123] To deliver a material web roll 2 or 5 from the receiving device 11 or 15 to a transport cart 40, the following steps are carried out in a fully automatic operation:
[0124] the material web unwinding assembly sends a signal, for example to a higher-level processing unit, that it is ready to deliver a material web roll 2 or 5; an empty transport cart 40 is thus requested
[0125] the transport cart 40 reports when it is in the center of the material web unwinding assembly or of the corresponding unwinding device 3 or 14
[0126] the material web roll 2 or 5 is deposited accordingly onto the transport cart 40
[0127] Fully automatic operation is similar to automatic operation when depositing the material web, to the description of which reference is made. After the material web roll 2 or 5 has been deposited on the transport cart 40, the material web unwinding assembly sends a signal that the transport cart 40 can remove the material web roll 2 or 5, which it then does.
[0128] In the case of a different transport device, the steps indicated are (substantially) analogous.
[0129] Switching between individual operations is possible.
[0130] The following describes the operation of the material web unwinding assembly with an active region safety device when receiving a material web roll 2 or 5 in the receiving device 11 or 15.
[0131] If the first and second region safety devices according to FIGS. 7, 8 only generate one common safety field 38 or 39, simple safety monitoring is provided. Both the first and second region safety devices are capable of detecting individuals, material rolls 2 and 5, transport carts 40 and other objects in the hazardous region and optionally causing a hazardous movement in the hazardous region to stop or slow down. This applies to the transport of a material web roll 2, 5, to the removal of a material web roll 2, 5 and to the operation of the material web unwinding assembly.
[0132] If the first or second region safety device generates a plurality of safety fields 35, 36, 37 during operation, as shown in FIGS. 5, 6, the safety fields 35 to 37 will need to be interrupted one after the other by the transport cart 40 or the material web roll 2 or 5 in a prespecified, precise order or sequence when the material web roll 2 or 5 is transported. If an error or irregularity occurs in the sequence, an error signal will be output to the safety processing unit 34. This irregularity can be caused, for example, by there being someone within a safety field 35, 36 or 37. It is expedient for a plausibility check to be carried out when the safety fields 35, 36, 37 are interrupted. After one safety field 35 to 37 is interrupted, at least one further safety field must be interrupted within a prespecified or previously known cycle or period of time. Otherwise, it may be concluded that this is not a proper material web roll transport. A logic system can be used to determine whether it a moving material web roll 2 or 5 is concerned or whether the safety fields 35, 36, 37 are being interrupted by an individual or other object instead of, or in addition to, the material web roll 2, 5. A hazardous movement in the hazardous region can if necessary be stopped or slowed down. This safety monitoring is more complex and better than simple security monitoring.
[0133] Receiving can be resumed, for example, by a corresponding manual release.
[0134] The removal of the material web roll 2 or 5 is monitored and secured substantially in an analog manner.
[0135] The material web unwinding assembly can also be used outside of corrugated cardboard production. For example, it can be used in the printing industry and is capable of unwinding a printing web. It can also be used, for example, in plasterboard production and in the stamping industry.
