Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a wall-mounted indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus.BACKGROUND ART

[0002] An existing indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus is mounted on a wall by setting a mounting plate firmly on the wall with screws and by hooking, on hooks provided on an upper part of the mounting plate, respective insertion portions that are provided on a back part of a main body of the indoor unit and that are to be engaged with the hooks (see, for example, Patent Literature 1). For example, an extension pipe, a drain hose, and an inside-outside connection wiring line that are to be connected to the indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus are guided from the outdoors to the indoors through a through hole provided in the wall.CITATION LISTPatent Literature

[0003] Patent Literature 1: Japanese Unexamined Utility Model Registration Application Publication No. 1-151130SUMMARY OF INVENTIONTechnical Problem

[0004] In the indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus in Patent Literature 1, to connect, for example, the extension pipe to the main body of the indoor unit, the main body is rotated in a forward direction about the hooks of the mounting plate serving as fulcrums, thus securing a workspace at a lower part of the main body. In addition, in an indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus, to maintain a workspace formed by rotating a main body in a forward direction about hooks of a mounting plate serving as fulcrums, a mounting assistance support may be used at the back of the main body of the indoor unit to secure a space between the main body and the mounting plate and detached after finishing an operation of connecting, for example, an extension pipe. In the indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus in Patent Literature 1, when the main body is rotated in the forward direction about the hooks of the mounting plate serving as fulcrums in the operation of connecting, for example, the extension pipe, the main body may move upward to detach the insertion portions of the main body from the hooks of the mounting plate and fall off the mounting plate.

[0005] The present disclosure is made to solve such a problem and provides an indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus that prevents a main body from falling off a mounting plate in a series of operations of mounting the main body on the mounting plate.Solution to Problem

[0006] An indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a mounting plate designed to be fixed to a wall surface; and a main body including a heat exchanger and an air-sending fan inside, the main body further including a back case attached to the mounting plate, the main body forming a box-shaped outer shell. The mounting plate includes a base having a flat shape, the base being designed to be fixed to the wall surface, a projection having a box shape projecting from the base toward the main body in a state in which the main body is attached to the mounting plate, the projection including a hook-shaped portion having a hook shape projecting upward at an end portion of the projection in a projecting direction of the projection, and upper support hooks provided, above the projection, at left and right of the projection, the upper support hooks projecting upward from the base and toward the main body in the state in which the main body is attached to the mounting plate, the main body being hooked on the upper support hooks when the main body is attached to the mounting plate. The back case includes hook insertion portions into which the respective upper support hooks are inserted and that are hooked on the respective upper support hooks when the main body is attached to the mounting plate, and a central insertion portion designed such that the hook-shaped portion is inserted into the central insertion portion when the main body is attached to the mounting plate. The central insertion portion includes a back wall portion forming a back wall of the main body, and a central wall portion having a plate-like shape, the central wall portion being provided on an outside of the back wall portion and spaced from the back wall portion, the central wall portion projecting downward from an upper part of the back case, the central wall portion having a lower end portion having a hook shape. When the main body is attached to the mounting plate, the hook-shaped portion inserted into the central insertion portion faces the back wall portion and the central wall portion in a front-rear direction of the main body. When a front part of the main body is lifted up and the main body is inclined, the lower end portion of the central wall portion and an end portion of the hook-shaped portion are in contact with each other, thus preventing the main body from moving upward more than a set distance.ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION

[0007] In the indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, when the main body is attached to the mounting plate, the hook-shaped portion inserted into the central insertion portion faces the back wall portion and the central wall portion in the front-rear direction of the main body. In addition, when the front part of the main body is lifted up and the main body is inclined, the lower end portion of the central wall portion and the end portion of the hook-shaped portion are in contact with each other, thus preventing the main body from moving upward more than the set distance. When an operator rotates the main body forward about the hooks of the mounting plate serving as fulcrums, the main body is prevented from moving upward. Thus, the main body is not detached from the mounting plate. Therefore, the indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus is capable of preventing the main body from falling off the mounting plate.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

[0029] An indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus according to Embodiment will be described below with reference to the drawings, for example. For example, the relative size relationships or the shapes of the components in the following drawings including FIG. 1 may differ from those of actual ones. In the following drawings, components having the same reference signs are the same or corresponding components, and this applies to the entire description. Terms that mean directions (for example, “up”, “down”, “right”, “left”, “forward”, and “backward”) are used as appropriate to make the description easy to understand. However, these terms are merely used for convenience of description and do not limit the locations and the orientations of apparatuses or components.EmbodimentAir-Conditioning Apparatus 10

[0030] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating the configuration of a refrigerant circuit 15 of an air-conditioning apparatus 10 according to Embodiment. FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of the air-conditioning apparatus 10 according to Embodiment. The air-conditioning apparatus 10 will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. The air-conditioning apparatus 10 performs heating or cooling to condition indoor air by transferring heat between outdoor air and indoor air via refrigerant. The air-conditioning apparatus 10 includes an outdoor unit 500 and an indoor unit 100.

[0031] The air-conditioning apparatus 10 includes the refrigerant circuit 15 formed by connecting the outdoor unit 500 and the indoor unit 100 by refrigerant pipes 11 to circulate refrigerant. In the refrigerant circuit 15 of the air-conditioning apparatus 10, a compressor 501, a flow switching device 502, an outdoor heat exchanger 503, an expansion valve 504, and a heat exchanger 120 are sequentially connected via the refrigerant pipes 11. The air-conditioning apparatus 10 does not have to include the flow switching device 502.

[0032] The refrigerant pipe 11 connecting the outdoor unit 500 and the indoor unit 100 is accommodated in a connection extension pipe 12. The indoor unit 100 and the outdoor unit 500 of the air-conditioning apparatus 10 are connected by the connection extension pipe 12 to circulate refrigerant in the refrigerant pipes11 during operation of the air-conditioning apparatus 10.Outdoor Unit 500

[0033] The outdoor unit 500 includes the compressor 501, the flow switching device 502, the outdoor heat exchanger 503, and the expansion valve 504. The compressor 501 compresses and discharges sucked refrigerant. The flow switching device 502 is, for example, a four-way valve and switches refrigerant flow directions. The air-conditioning apparatus 10 enables a heating operation or a cooling operation by switching refrigerant flows with the flow switching device 502 on the basis of instructions from a controller (not illustrated).

[0034] The outdoor heat exchanger 503 exchanges heat between refrigerant and outdoor air. The outdoor heat exchanger 503 functions as an evaporator in the heating operation and functions as a condenser in the cooling operation. The outdoor heat exchanger 503 is provided with an outdoor fan 508 to increase the efficiency of heat exchange between refrigerant and outdoor air. The expansion valve 504 is an expansion device (flow control means). The expansion valve 504 functions as an expansion valve by adjusting the amount of refrigerant flowing through the expansion valve 504. The expansion valve 504 adjusts refrigerant pressure by varying its opening degree.Indoor Unit 100

[0035] FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the indoor unit 100 of the air-conditioning apparatus 10 according to Embodiment. FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram illustrating the interior of the indoor unit 100 of the air-conditioning apparatus 10 according to Embodiment. FIG. 5 is an exploded perspective view of the indoor unit 100 of the air-conditioning apparatus 10 according to Embodiment. As illustrated in the following drawings including FIG. 3, the X axis represents the width direction of the indoor unit 100, the Y axis represents the depth direction or the front-rear direction of the indoor unit 100, and the Z axis represents the up-down direction of the indoor unit 100.

[0036] The indoor unit 100 will be described such that, when the indoor unit 100 is viewed from the front, the X1 side is the left and the X2 side is the right, the Y1 side is the front and the Y2 side is the rear or the back in the Y axis, and the Z1 side is the upper side or the top and the Z2 side is the lower side in the Z axis. In addition, basically, the positional relationships between the components in the description (for example, a relationship of higher and lower) are those when the indoor unit 100 is set in a usable state.

[0037] As illustrated in FIG. 2, the indoor unit 100 of the air-conditioning apparatus 10 is attached to, for example, a wall surface 400 of a room and conditions indoor air. The indoor unit 100 uses a refrigeration cycle that circulates refrigerant and thereby supplies conditioned air to an air-conditioning target space such as a room. The indoor unit 100 includes a main body 200, which has an air inlet 201 for sucking indoor air into the indoor unit 100, and an air outlet 202 for supplying conditioned air to an air-conditioning target region. In addition, the indoor unit 100 includes a mounting plate 300, which is fixed to the wall surface 400 of the air-conditioning target space (see FIGS. 5 and 6) and to which the main body 200 is attached.Main Body 200

[0038] The main body 200 includes the heat exchanger 120 and an air-sending fan 110 inside. The main body 200 includes a back case 210, which is attached to the mounting plate 300, and forms a box-shaped outer shell. More specifically, the main body 200 includes the back case 210, a design panel 220, and a main body top portion 230. The main body 200 forms the outer shell of the indoor unit 100 formed by combining the back case 210, the design panel 220, and the main body top portion 230. The main body 200 forms a box-shaped housing formed by combining the back case 210, the design panel 220, and the main body top portion 230.

[0039] The back case 210 at least forms a back outer shell wall of the main body 200. The back case 210 faces the mounting plate 300 and is attached to the mounting plate 300 by engaging with part of the mounting plate 300. The air-sending fan 110, the heat exchanger 120, a drain pan 130, an electrical component box 140, sensors, and a display 150, which will be described later, are attached to the opposite part of the back case 210 from the mounting plate 300 in the front-rear direction (Y-axis direction) of the main body 200. The specific configuration of the back case 210 will be described later.

[0040] The main body top portion 230 forms at least part of a top wall of the main body 200. The main body top portion 230 forms the air inlet 201, through which air flows from the outside of the main body 200 into the main body 200. The main body top portion 230 may be formed by, for example, an automatic cleaning assembly including, for example, a filter designed to remove dust from air that flows into the main body 200 through the air inlet 201, and a cleaning mechanism and a dust box (not illustrated) for automatically cleaning the filter. The main body top portion 230 is attached to the back case 210 and the design panel 220.

[0041] The design panel 220 forms side outer shell walls, a front outer shell wall, and a bottom outer shell wall of the main body 200. In addition, the design panel 220 forms part of the top wall of the main body 200. The design panel 220 forms the air outlet 202, through which air is blown out from the inside of the main body 200 to the outside of the main body 200. In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 4, the design panel 220 and the back case 210 form an air passage 203, through which air passes in the main body 200.

[0042] The design panel 220 includes a front design panel 221. The front design panel 221 forms the front outer shell wall of the main body 200 and forms a front design surface. The front design panel 221 is attached to left and right upper parts of the design panel 220 such that the front design panel 221 is rotatable to facilitate a mounting operation, cleaning, and inspection. For example, the front design panel 221 is fixed to shafts provided to the left and right upper parts of the design panel 220 such that the front design panel 221 is attachable, detachable, openable, and closable.

[0043] As illustrated in FIG. 4, the main body 200 has the air inlet 201 formed in the main body top portion 230 of the main body 200, and the air outlet 202 formed below the air inlet 201. In the indoor unit 100, the air outlet 202 is formed below a front portion 205 of the main body 200 and in front of a bottom portion 206 of the main body 200.

[0044] Flaps 135, which open or close the air outlet 202 and adjust the direction in which air conditioned in the heat exchanger 120 described later (hereinafter referred to as “conditioned air”) is blown out, are disposed in the air outlet 202. The flaps 135 adjust the direction in which conditioned air is blown out in the left-right direction and the up-down direction. For example, the flaps 135 are provided to a bottom part of the drain pan 130.

[0045] The main body 200 includes the air-sending fan 110, the heat exchanger 120, the drain pan 130, the electrical component box 140, the sensors, and the display 150. As illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5, the air-sending fan 110, the heat exchanger 120, the drain pan 130, the electrical component box 140, the sensors, and the display 150 are disposed in the main body 200.

[0046] The air-sending fan 110 is, for example, a cross flow fan and forms airflow. The air-sending fan 110 takes air in the main body 200 through the air inlet 201 of the main body 200 to cause heat exchange between the taken air and refrigerant flowing in the heat exchanger 120 and causes conditioned air subjected to heat exchange to be blown out through the air outlet 202 of the main body 200. The air-sending fan 110 is attached to the back case 210 and is disposed downstream of the heat exchanger 120 in the air passage 203 from the air inlet 201 to the air outlet 202.

[0047] The heat exchanger 120 exchanges heat between refrigerant flowing in the heat exchanger 120 and air supplied from the air-sending fan 110. The heat exchanger 120 adjusts the temperature and the humidity of air that is sucked from the outside to the inside of the main body 200 and that is blown out from the inside of the main body 200 to an air-conditioning target space. The heat exchanger 120 functions as a condenser in the heating operation to condense and liquify refrigerant. In addition, the heat exchanger 120 functions as an evaporator in the cooling operation to evaporate and gasify refrigerant.

[0048] In the indoor unit 100, the air-sending fan 110 sucks indoor air through the air inlet 201 in an upper part of the main body 200, and the heat exchanger 120 converts the sucked air into cool or warm air through heat exchange. The cool or warm air is sent indoors through the air outlet 202.

[0049] The drain pan 130 is disposed below the heat exchanger 120 in the main body 200 and receives drain water dripping down from the heat exchanger 120. The drain water collected in the drain pan 130 is guided outdoors by a draining mechanism (not illustrated). The flaps 135 described above are provided to the bottom part of the drain pan 130. The electrical component box 140 accommodates devices such as circuit components used for controlling the air-conditioning apparatus 10. The sensors and the display 150 include various sensors used for controlling the air-conditioning apparatus 10 and display an operation state of the air-conditioning apparatus 10.Mounting Plate 300

[0050] FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram illustrating an example of the mounting plate 300 of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment. FIG. 7 is a front view illustrating the example of the mounting plate 300 of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment. FIG. 8 is a side view illustrating the example of the mounting plate 300 of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment. A broken leader line that relates to a reference sign and that is illustrated in FIGS. 6 to 8 shows a component at the back of a plate surface. The mounting plate 300 will be described with reference to FIGS. 6 to 8.

[0051] The mounting plate 300 is used for attaching the main body 200 to the wall surface 400. As illustrated in FIG. 6, the mounting plate 300 is fixed to the wall surface 400. The wall surface 400 has a through hole 405, into which the connection extension pipe 12 (see FIGS. 1 and 2) is inserted.

[0052] The mounting plate 300 is made of a metal plate having a substantially rectangular shape and is fixed to the indoor wall surface 400 with fixing components such as screws, bolts, and nails. As illustrated in FIG. 7, the mounting plate 300 includes a base 305, a plurality of upper support hooks 310, a mounting plate lower end portion 320, and a projection 330.

[0053] The base 305 has a substantially rectangular flat shape. The base 305 is the part of the mounting plate 300 fixed to the wall surface 400. The base 305 has one plate surface in contact with the wall surface 400, and the other plate surface facing the back case 210 of the main body 200.

[0054] The respective upper support hooks 310 are provided, above the projection 330, at the left and the right of the projection 330. In a state in which the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300, the upper support hooks 310 project upward from the base 305 and toward the main body 200. The main body 200 is hooked on the upper support hooks 310 in a case in which the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300.

[0055] The upper support hooks 310 are parts on which the main body 200 is hooked and that support the main body 200. The upper support hooks 310 are formed such that hook insertion portions 211 (see FIG. 11) provided to a back upper part of the back case 210 are hooked on the upper support hooks 310.

[0056] The upper support hooks 310 are provided at an upper end edge 305a of the base 305. The mounting plate 300 includes the plurality of upper support hooks 310. The plurality of upper support hooks 310 are provided and spaced from each other in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the indoor unit 100 and the base 305.

[0057] For example, the upper support hooks 310 are provided in the vicinities of respective end portions of the base 305 in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction). That is, at the upper end edge 305a of the base 305, the respective upper support hooks 310 are provided at the left and the right end portions of the base 305. It is sufficient that the respective upper support hooks 310 be at least provided at the left and the right positions, that is, two positions on the base 305, and the upper support hooks 310 may be provided at three or more positions on the base 305.

[0058] The upper support hooks 310 project toward the back case 210 and each have a bent L shape in side view of the mounting plate 300. In side view of the mounting plate 300 opposite to FIG. 8, the upper support hooks 310 each have a left-right inverted L shape. In the upper support hook 310, an end portion of a part projecting toward the back case 210, the end portion being bent upward, is referred to as a hook bottom portion 311.

[0059] The mounting plate lower end portion 320 is provided at a lower end edge 305b of the base 305. As illustrated in FIG. 8, a part of the mounting plate lower end portion 320 connected to the base 305 is bent such that the mounting plate lower end portion 320 extends from the lower end edge 305b of the base 305 toward the back case 210. The mounting plate lower end portion 320 extends in the direction in which the plate surface of the base 305 faces (Y-axis direction) and in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the base 305. The mounting plate lower end portion 320 is engaged with a lower end portion of the back case 210.

[0060] FIG. 9 is an enlarged side view of the projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment. FIG. 10 is a perspective view of the projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment. Broken leader lines that relate to reference signs and that are illustrated in FIGS. 9 and 10 show components at the back of the plate surface. The projection 330 will be described with reference to FIGS. 7 to 10.

[0061] The projection 330 limits rotation of the main body 200 in the up-down direction within a specific range when the indoor unit 100 is being mounted. In addition, the projection 330, together with a central insertion portion 212, prevents the main body 200 from moving upward when the indoor unit 100 is being mounted. In addition, the projection 330 prevents the main body 200 from falling down when the back case 210 is detached from the upper support hooks 310.

[0062] The projection 330 is formed such that the projection 330 projects from the base 305 toward the back case 210. That is, the projection 330 is formed such that the projection 330 projects from the plate surface of the base 305 facing the back case 210. The projection 330 is formed by drawing and is shaped with a high strength because the projection 330 is continuous with the base 305 of the mounting plate 300 fixed to the wall surface 400 and is integrally formed with the base 305. Since the projection 330 is formed by drawing, the plate thickness of the projection 330 is substantially equal to the plate thickness of the base 305.

[0063] As illustrated in FIG. 7, the projection 330 is formed at the upper part of the base 305 including the upper end edge 305a of the base 305. The projection 330 is formed at the center of the base 305 in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the base 305. In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 9, the projection 330 is formed below the upper support hooks 310. The projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 is provided below and forward of the upper support hooks 310.

[0064] As illustrated in FIG. 10, the projection 330 is formed such that the shape of the projection 330 shrinks from a base portion 341, which is a bottom part of the projection 330, toward an end portion 342. In the shape of the projection 330, the end portion 342 of the projection 330 is smaller than the base portion 341 of the projection 330. The shape of the projection 330 shrinks from the base portion 341 of the projection 330 toward the end portion 342 of the projection 330 such that a lower part and side parts of the projection 330 concentrate at the center of the projection 330.

[0065] The projection 330 is formed such that its plate surface facing the wall surface 400 is recessed. The projection 330 has a hollow shape and has a space S, which forms the projection 330 and is surrounded by the wall surface 400, in the projection 330. The projection 330 has a box shape forming the space S.

[0066] The projection 330 has an upper opening 330a at an upper edge portion 330a1, which is a top edge part of the projection 330, and a back opening 330b at an edge portion 330b1, which faces the wall surface 400. The upper opening 330a opens upward. The back opening 330b opens in the backward direction, that is, the direction opposite to the direction in which the projection 330 projects.

[0067] As illustrated in FIG. 6, when the mounting plate 300 is attached to the wall surface 400, the back opening 330b is closed by the wall surface 400 and forms a space between the projection 330 and the wall surface 400. This space communicates with the outside of the projection 330 through the upper opening 330a.

[0068] As illustrated in FIG. 10, the projection 330 includes a bulging portion 331, an end wall portion 332, and a hook-shaped portion 333. In the mounting plate 300, the base 305 and the projection 330 are integrally formed with each other by drawing. That is, in the mounting plate 300, the base 305, the bulging portion 331, the end wall portion 332, and the hook-shaped portion 333 are integrally formed with each other.

[0069] The bulging portion 331 forms a wall extending and projecting from the base 305 in the direction in which the plate surface of the base 305 facing the back case 210 faces. The bulging portion 331 is a part of the projection 330 having a box shape projecting from the base 305 toward the main body 200 in the state in which the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300. The bulging portion 331 has the space S inside. The bulging portion 331 has the upper opening 330a, which is formed by the upper edge portion 330a1 of the bulging portion 331 and opens upward.

[0070] The bulging portion 331 has a W-shaped section in the direction along the plate surface of the base 305, that is, in the up-down direction (Z-axis direction) and the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the mounting plate 300. The bulging portion 331 projects from the base 305 and has a W-shaped section parallel to the plate surface of the base 305.

[0071] The bulging portion 331 is formed such that the sectional shape of the bulging portion 331 shrinks from the base portion 341 of the projection 330 toward the end portion 342 of the projection 330 and is integrally formed with the base 305. In the shape of the bulging portion 331, the end portion 342 of the projection 330 is smaller than the base portion 341 of the projection 330. The shape of the bulging portion 331 shrinks from the base portion 341 of the projection 330 toward the end portion 342 of the projection 330 such that a lower part and side parts of the bulging portion 331 concentrate at the center of the bulging portion 331.

[0072] The bulging portion 331 includes a first bulging portion 331a, a second bulging portion 331b, and a top portion 331c. The first bulging portion 331a has a V-shaped section in the direction along the plate surface of the base 305. The second bulging portion 331b also has a V-shaped section in the direction along the plate surface of the base 305. The top portion 331c is a wall provided between the first bulging portion 331a and the second bulging portion 331b in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the mounting plate 300.

[0073] The bulging portion 331 includes the top portion 331c. The top portion 331c is a plate-like part extending from the base 305 toward the end wall portion 332. The top portion 331c forms the center top of the W-shaped part. The top portion 331c is formed below the upper opening 330a in the bulging portion 331.

[0074] The top portion 331c extends from the base 305 toward the back case 210 and is a plate-like part extending in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the mounting plate 300. The top portion 331c is provided at the center top of the bulging portion 331 having a W-shaped section in the direction along the plate surface of the base 305.

[0075] The top portion 331c is a bottom of a part recessed upward between the first bulging portion 331a and the second bulging portion 331b when the top portion 331c is viewed from the side where the main body 200 is disposed. The top portion 331c is a top of a part projecting upward between the first bulging portion 331a and the second bulging portion 331b when the top portion 331c is viewed from the side where the wall surface 400 is disposed.

[0076] The top portion 331c is formed below the upper end edge 305a of the mounting plate 300. The top portion 331c is formed below the upper edge portion 330a1 forming the upper opening 330a of the projection 330. The top portion 331c is inclined to the plate surface of the base 305. An inner surface of the projection 330 is inclined such that the inner surface of the projection 330 faces in the upward direction and the backward direction. When the back case 210 is detached from the upper support hooks 310, the top portion 331c comes into contact with a central wall portion 213 (see FIG. 12) of the back case 210 and thereby prevents the main body 200 from falling down.

[0077] The end wall portion 332 is a wall portion provided at the end portion 342 of the projection 330. The end wall portion 332 has a plate-like shape. The end wall portion 332 faces a back wall portion 214, which will be described later, of the main body 200 when the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300. The end wall portion 332 may be formed parallel to the direction in which the base 305 extends and may be inclined such that an upper part of the end wall portion 332 is inclined toward the back case 210.

[0078] The hook-shaped portion 333, which is integrally formed with the end wall portion 332, is provided to the upper part of the end wall portion 332. The projection 330 has a box shape projecting from the base 305 toward the main body 200 in the state in which the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300. The projection 330 includes the hook-shaped portion 333 having a hook shape projecting upward at the end portion of the projection 330 in the projecting direction of the projection 330.

[0079] When the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300, the hook-shaped portion 333 is inserted into the central insertion portion 212 (see FIG. 11) of the back case 210, which will be described later. The hook-shaped portion 333, together with the central insertion portion 212, prevents the main body 200 from moving upward.

[0080] The hook-shaped portion 333 forms a wall projecting upward from the end wall portion 332. The hook-shaped portion 333 is formed by a bent plate-like component. The hook-shaped portion 333 is formed such that the hook-shaped portion 333 extends in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the base 305 and extends upward from the end wall portion 332. The hook-shaped portion 333 has a hook shape in side view in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the base 305.

[0081] The hook-shaped portion 333 includes an inclined piece 334 at its upper end. The inclined piece 334 is inclined to the end wall portion 332. An upper end portion of the inclined piece 334 is inclined toward the base 305 in side view in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the base 305.

[0082] The inclined piece 334 is formed such that the inclined piece 334 extends upward and toward the wall surface 400 when the mounting plate 300 is attached to the wall surface 400. That is, the hook-shaped portion 333 is provided to the upper part of the end wall portion 332 and includes the inclined piece 334, which is inclined to the end wall portion 332 at its end and extends upward and toward the base 305.

[0083] The hook-shaped portion 333 and the end wall portion 332 include a contact bent portion 303. The contact bent portion 303 is a part formed by contact bending. The contact bent portion 303 is a part having a hemming shape formed by hemming bending, for example. The contact bent portion 303 is a part at which outer edge parts of the hook-shaped portion 333 and the end wall portion 332 are folded back short and plate surfaces are in close contact with each other.

[0084] The contact bent portion 303 is integrally formed between the hook-shaped portion 333 and the end wall portion 332. The contact bent portion 303 is formed continuously from the end wall portion 332 to the hook-shaped portion 333. The contact bent portion 303 is formed entirely on the hook-shaped portion 333 and the end wall portion 332.

[0085] As illustrated in FIG. 9, the length of the hook-shaped portion 333 in the up-down direction is shorter than the length of the upper support hook 310 in the up-down direction. In addition, the length of the hook-shaped portion 333 along the plate surface in the up-down direction is shorter than the length of the upper support hook 310 along the plate surface in the up-down direction. To secure sufficient strength of the hook-shaped portion 333, the length of the hook-shaped portion 333, which extends in the up-down direction, is preferably short. The position of the end of the inclined piece 334 is located below the upper end edge 305a of the mounting plate 300. That is, the hook-shaped portion 333 is located below the upper support hooks 310.

[0086] When the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300, the upper support hooks 310 of the mounting plate 300 and the hook-shaped portion 333 of the projection 330, and the hook insertion portions 211 and the central insertion portion 212 of the back case 210 are in the blind spot from a mounting operator, and their respective positions are unclear. Thus, when the hook-shaped portion 333 is longer than the upper support hook 310, a part of the back case 210 in the vicinity of the central insertion portion 212 is likely to come into contact with the hook-shaped portion 333, and the hook-shaped portion 333 may be deformed.

[0087] In the indoor unit 100, the hook-shaped portion 333 is shorter than the upper support hook 310, and the upper support hook 310 is longer than the hook-shaped portion 333. When an operator is conscious that the upper support hooks 310 are inserted into the respective hook insertion portions 211, the hook-shaped portion 333 is less likely to come into contact with the central insertion portion 212 compared with a case in which the hook-shaped portion 333 is longer than the upper support hook 310. Thus, the indoor unit 100 is capable of preventing deformation of the hook-shaped portion 333.Details of Back Case 210

[0088] FIG. 11 is a lower perspective view of the back case 210 of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment. The back case 210 includes the hook insertion portions 211 and the central insertion portion 212.

[0089] The hook insertion portions 211 are parts into which the respective upper support hooks 310 of the mounting plate 300 are inserted and that are hooked on the respective upper support hooks 310 when the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300. The hook insertion portions 211, which hang on the respective upper support hooks 310 provided at the upper end edge 305a of the mounting plate 300, are formed at an upper end edge portion 210a at the back of the back case 210. The hook insertion portions 211 are designed to be hooked on the respective upper support hooks 310 of the mounting plate 300.

[0090] The hook insertion portions 211 provided to the back upper part of the back case 210 are hooked on the respective upper support hooks 310 of the mounting plate 300, thus engaging the hook insertion portions 211 and the respective upper support hooks 310 with each other. The main body 200 is thereby supported by the mounting plate 300.

[0091] The hook insertion portions 211 are formed at respective positions corresponding to the positions of the upper support hooks 310. For example, the hook insertion portions 211 are provided in the vicinities of respective end portions of the back case 210 in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction). At the upper end edge portion 210a of the back case 210, the hook insertion portions 211 are provided at the left and the right end portions of the back case 210. The hook insertion portions 211 are provided at respective end portions of the main body 200 in the left-right direction, which is along the plate surface of the base 305 and perpendicular to the up-down direction.

[0092] The central insertion portion 212, which hangs on the upper support hook 310 provided at the upper end edge 305a of the mounting plate 300, is formed at the upper end edge portion 210a at the back of the back case 210. The central insertion portion 212 is provided at the center of the back upper part of the back case 210.

[0093] The central insertion portion 212 is designed such that the projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 is inserted into the central insertion portion 212. More specifically, the central insertion portion 212 is designed such that the hook-shaped portion 333 of the projection 330 is inserted into the central insertion portion 212 when the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300. The central insertion portion 212 is formed at a position corresponding to the position of the hook-shaped portion 333. The central insertion portion 212 is provided at the center or in the vicinity of the center of the back case 210 in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction). In other words, the central insertion portion 212 is provided at the center of the main body 200 in the left-right direction, which is along the plate surface of the base 305 and perpendicular to the up-down direction.

[0094] The central insertion portion 212, together with the projection 330, limits rotation of the main body 200 in the up-down direction within a specific range when the indoor unit 100 is being mounted. In addition, the central insertion portion 212, together with the projection 330, prevents the main body 200 from moving upward when the indoor unit 100 is being mounted. In addition, the central insertion portion 212, together with the projection 330, prevents the main body 200 from falling down when the back case 210 is detached from the upper support hooks 310.

[0095] The back case 210 includes a rib 200b, which has a plate-like shape and extends, in the upper part of the back case 210, in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the back case 210. The hook insertion portions 211 and the central insertion portion 212 are provided at respective parts of the rib 200b in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction). The rib 200b has openings of the hook insertion portions 211 and the central insertion portion 212.

[0096] FIG. 12 is an enlarged perspective view of the central insertion portion 212 of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment. FIG. 13 is a schematic diagram of a section of the central insertion portion 212 of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment in the up-down direction and the front-rear direction. The structure of the central insertion portion 212 will be further described with reference to FIGS. 12 and 13. The central insertion portion 212 includes the back wall portion 214 and the central wall portion 213. The central insertion portion 212 is formed by part of the back wall portion 214 and the central wall portion 213.

[0097] The back case 210 includes the back wall portion 214 forming a back wall of the main body 200. The back wall portion 214 is provided such that the back wall portion 214 faces some devices, such as the heat exchanger 120, in the main body 200. The back wall portion 214 forms part of the air passage 203 from the air inlet 201 to the air outlet 202. The back wall portion 214 has a plate-like shape. The back wall portion 214 is formed such that the back wall portion 214 extends in the up-down direction (Z-axis direction) and the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the back case 210.

[0098] The back case 210 includes the central wall portion 213 provided at the back of the back wall portion 214 and spaced from the back wall portion 214. A main body space S1 is formed between the back wall portion 214 and the central wall portion 213. The hook-shaped portion 333 (see FIG. 18) of the projection 330 is disposed in the main body space S1. When the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300, the hook-shaped portion 333 inserted into the central insertion portion 212 faces the back wall portion 214 and the central wall portion 213 in the front-rear direction of the main body 200.

[0099] The central wall portion 213 is provided such that the central wall portion 213 faces the back wall portion 214 in the front-rear direction (Y-axis direction) of the back case 210. The central wall portion 213 is formed at a position corresponding to the position of the hook-shaped portion 333. The central wall portion 213 is provided at the center or in the vicinity of the center of the back case 210 in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction).

[0100] As described above, the central wall portion 213 is provided on the outside of the back wall portion 214 and spaced from the back wall portion 214. The central wall portion 213 projects downward from the upper part of the back case 210. The central wall portion 213 has a lower end portion 213a having a hook shape. The expression “the outside of the back wall portion 214” means the side opposite to the inside of the back wall portion 214 when the space accommodating, for example, the heat exchanger 120 is the inside of the back wall portion 214 in the main body 200.

[0101] The central wall portion 213 has a rectangular plate piece-like shape. The central wall portion 213 has an upper part, which is fixed and integrally formed with the upper part of the back case 210, and a lower part, which is an unfixed free end. The upper part of the central wall portion 213 extends upward and is formed such that the upper part of the central wall portion 213 is flush with an upper wall portion 210c of the back case 210. The upper wall portion 210c is a wall portion extending upward from the central wall portion 213.

[0102] The central wall portion 213 has a projecting shape that projects from the rib 200b. In the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the back case 210, the maximum width of the central wall portion 213 is smaller than the opening width of the upper opening 330a (see FIG. 10) of the projection 330. The central wall portion 213 has a size that allows the central wall portion 213 to be inserted into the projection 330.

[0103] The central wall portion 213 has side edge portions 213b, which extend downward from the rib 200b, and the lower end portion 213a, which is a free end. An end portion rib 213c, which extends in the front-rear direction (Y-axis direction) of the back case 210 and has a thickness, is provided at the side edge portions 213b and the lower end portion 213a. The end portion rib 213c is integrally formed with the rib 200b. The central wall portion 213 includes the end portion rib 213c at the side edge portions 213b and the lower end portion 213a, thus enabling an increase in strength compared with a case in which the central wall portion 213 does not include the end portion rib 213c.

[0104] As illustrated in FIG. 13, an inclined wall portion 213d is provided in an inner wall surface of the lower end portion 213a of the central wall portion 213. The inclined wall portion 213d is provided in the surface of the central wall portion 213 facing the back wall portion 214 and projects toward the back wall portion 214 at the lower end portion 213a.

[0105] The inclined wall portion 213d forms an inclined surface at the surface of the central wall portion 213 facing the back wall portion 214. The inclined wall portion 213d is formed such that the inclined wall portion 213d projects toward the back wall portion 214 from the upper part to the lower part of the central wall portion 213. The inclined wall portion 213d forms an inclined surface, at the surface facing the back wall portion 214, inclined such that the inclined wall portion 213d faces upward and toward the back wall portion 214. The central wall portion 213 includes the inclined wall portion 213d and thus has a hook shape when the central wall portion 213 is viewed in the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the back case 210.

[0106] The rib 200b integrally formed with the central wall portion 213 has an opening 200c. The opening 200c is a hole passing through the rib 200b in the up-down direction. Thus, the back case 210 is formed such that an upper space S2, which is above the rib 200b, and the main body space S1, which is a space between the central wall portion 213 and the back wall portion 214, communicate with each other.Fixing Main Body 200 to Mounting Plate 300

[0107] The mounting plate 300 is mounted on a wall (see FIG. 6). The mounting plate 300 is firmly fixed to the wall surface 400 with fixing components such as screws. After the mounting plate 300 is fixed to the wall surface 400, the main body 200 is fixed to the mounting plate 300.

[0108] When fixing the main body 200 to the mounting plate 300, an operator hooks the hook insertion portions 211 (see FIG. 11), which are provided to the back upper part of the main body 200, on the respective upper support hooks 310 (see FIG. 6) of the mounting plate 300. Next, while rotating the main body 200 (see FIG. 2) about the upper support hooks 310 serving as fulcrums, the operator pushes a lower part of the main body 200 toward the mounting plate 300 and fixes the main body 200 to the mounting plate 300. Thus, the main body 200 is fixed to the mounting plate 300, and the indoor unit 100 is mounted on the wall surface 400.Pipe Connection Operation for Indoor Unit 100

[0109] FIG. 14 is a perspective view of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment in a state of a pipe connection operation after mounting the indoor unit 100. FIG. 15 is a sectional view of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment in the state of the pipe connection operation. FIG. 15 is a sectional view of the main body 200 including the central insertion portion 212 in the front-rear direction (Y-axis direction) and the up-down direction (Z-axis direction) of the main body 200. The process of mounting the indoor unit 100 for pipe connection for the indoor unit 100 in a state in which the indoor unit 100 is attached to the mounting plate 300 when the indoor unit 100 has already been disposed or is relocated, for example, will be described with reference to FIGS. 14 and 15.

[0110] The connection extension pipe 12 is guided from the outdoors to the indoors through the through hole 405 provided in the wall. The connection extension pipe 12 has one end portion connected to the outdoor unit 500, and the other end portion connected to the indoor unit 100 (see FIG. 2). In addition, for example, a drain hose and an inside-outside connection wiring line (not illustrated) connecting the indoor unit 100 and the outdoor unit 500 to each other is guided from the outdoors to the indoors through the through hole 405 provided in the wall.

[0111] In the indoor unit 100, an indoor side connection pipe 125 connected to the heat exchanger 120 and the connection extension pipe 12 are connected to each other in the state in which the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300. As illustrated in FIG. 14, to connect unions 125a, which are provided at an end portion of the indoor side connection pipe 125, to respective flare nuts 12a, which are provided to the connection extension pipe 12, an operator has to secure a workspace WS for pipe connection at a back lower part of the main body 200.

[0112] As illustrated in FIG. 15, the operator lifts up a main body lower end portion 207 of the main body 200 while rotating the main body lower end portion 207 of the main body 200 forward about the hook bottom portions 311 (see FIG. 8) of the respective upper support hooks 310 serving as fulcrums and inclines the main body 200. The operator inclines the main body 200 by using the hook bottom portions 311 (see FIG. 8) as fulcrums such that a front part of the main body 200 is above a back part of the main body 200 and thus secures the workspace WS between the main body 200 and the mounting plate 300.

[0113] As illustrated in FIG. 15, to secure the workspace WS by inclining the main body 200 and maintain the inclination of the main body 200, the operator inserts a mounting assistance support 14 between the mounting plate 300 and the back case 210 of the main body 200 and thereby supports the main body 200 by the mounting assistance support 14.

[0114] The mounting assistance support 14 is held between the main body 200 and the mounting plate 300 and maintains the workspace WS. For example, a packing box for packing the indoor unit 100 is used as the mounting assistance support 14. The mounting assistance support 14 is not limited to such a packing box, and it is sufficient that the mounting assistance support 14 be an object capable of supporting the main body 200, such as a columnar object and a rod-shaped object.

[0115] After the pipe connection operation is finished, the operator has to lightly lift up the main body lower end portion 207 of the main body 200 again and to slightly expand the workspace WS to detach the mounting assistance support 14 held between the main body 200 and the mounting plate 300. In this case, when the operator lifts up a front lower portion 208 of the main body 200 while holding the front lower portion 208 of the main body 200, the entire main body 200 easily moves upward (to the Z1 side). Thus, in an indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus without the central insertion portion 212 and the projection 330, the hook insertion portions 211 (see FIG. 11) of the main body 200 may be detached from the respective upper support hooks 310 (see FIG. 6) of the mounting plate 300. As a result, the main body 200 may fall off the mounting plate 300.

[0116] FIG. 16 is an enlarged sectional view of a part of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment where the projection 330 is disposed in the state of the pipe connection operation. FIG. 17 is an enlarged perspective sectional view of the part of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment where the projection 330 is disposed in the state of the pipe connection operation. The mechanism of the indoor unit 100 that prevents the main body 200 from falling off the mounting plate 300 will be described with reference to FIGS. 16 and 17.

[0117] As described above, the indoor unit 100 includes the central insertion portion 212 at the center of the back upper part of the back case 210. The central insertion portion 212 includes the central wall portion 213, which includes the inclined wall portion 213d at the end portion of the central wall portion 213 and has a hook shape. In addition, the indoor unit 100 includes the projection 330 including the hook-shaped portion 333 having a hook shape at the center of the upper part of the mounting plate 300.

[0118] As illustrated in FIGS. 16 and 17, at the start and the end of the pipe connection operation, the operator rotates the main body 200 about the hook bottom portions 311 (see FIG. 8) serving as fulcrums and inclines the main body 200. In this state of the indoor unit 100, two hook-shaped portions that are the inclined wall portion 213d at the end portion of the central wall portion 213 having a hook shape and the inclined piece 334 at the end portion of the hook-shaped portion 333 having a hook shape are in contact with each other and are hooked on each other.

[0119] When the front part of the main body 200 is lifted up and the main body 200 is inclined, the lower end portion 213a of the central wall portion 213 and the end portion of the hook-shaped portion 333 are in contact with each other, thus preventing the main body 200 from moving upward more than a set distance. More specifically, when the front part of the main body 200 is lifted up and the main body 200 is inclined, the inclined wall portion 213d of the central wall portion 213 and the inclined piece 334 of the hook-shaped portion 333 are in contact with each other, thus preventing the main body 200 from moving upward more than a set distance.

[0120] The central wall portion 213 of the main body 200 and the projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 are hooked on each other, thus inhibiting the main body 200 from moving upward. Thus, the hook insertion portions 211 (see FIG. 11) of the main body 200 are not detached from the respective upper support hooks 310 (see FIG. 6) of the mounting plate 300. The indoor unit 100 is thereby capable of preventing the main body 200 from falling off the mounting plate 300.Operation and Effect of Indoor Unit of Air-conditioning Apparatus

[0121] In the indoor unit 100 of the air-conditioning apparatus 10, when the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300, the hook-shaped portion 333 inserted into the central insertion portion 212 faces the back wall portion 214 and the central wall portion 213 in the front-rear direction of the main body 200. Then, as described above, when the front part of the main body 200 is lifted up and the main body 200 is inclined, the lower end portion 213a of the central wall portion 213 and the end portion of the hook-shaped portion 333 are in contact with each other, thus preventing the main body 200 from moving upward more than a set distance. When an operator rotates the main body 200 forward about the hooks of the mounting plate 300 serving as fulcrums, the main body 200 is prevented from moving upward. Thus, the main body 200 is not detached from the mounting plate 300. The indoor unit 100 is thereby capable of preventing the main body 200 from falling off the mounting plate 300.

[0122] In addition, in the indoor unit 100, when the front part of the main body 200 is lifted up and the main body 200 is inclined, the inclined wall portion 213d of the central wall portion 213 and the inclined piece 334 of the hook-shaped portion 333 are in contact with each other, thus preventing the main body 200 from moving upward more than a set distance.

[0123] The indoor unit 100 includes the hook formed by the central wall portion 213 having the lower end portion 213a having a hook shape at the center of the back upper part of the back case 210. In addition, the indoor unit 100 includes, at the center of the upper part of the mounting plate 300, the projection 330 formed by drawing and including the hook-shaped portion 333, which extends toward the wall when attached to the wall and has the edge parts formed by contact bending. When the main body 200 is inclined to secure the workspace WS at the back lower part of the main body 200 in the mounting operation, the hook-shaped portion of the central wall portion 213 is hooked on the hook-shaped portion 333 of the projection 330. Thus, the indoor unit 100 is capable of inhibiting upward movement of the main body 200 caused during removal of the mounting assistance support 14 (see FIG. 15) used for mounting.

[0124] In addition, the central wall portion 213 of the main body 200 and the projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 are hooked on each other, thus limiting rotation of the main body 200 in the up-down direction within a specific range. Thus, the hook insertion portions 211 (see FIG. 11) of the main body 200 are not detached from the respective upper support hooks 310 (see FIG. 6) of the mounting plate 300. The indoor unit 100 is thereby capable of preventing the main body 200 from falling off the mounting plate 300.

[0125] In addition, in an indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus without the central insertion portion 212 and the projection 330, when rotating the main body 200 forward, an operator lifts up the main body 200 while pulling the main body 200 forward. As a result, the main body 200 may be shifted forward. In the indoor unit 100 of the air-conditioning apparatus 10, the central wall portion 213 of the main body 200 is hooked on the hook-shaped portion 333 from the side where the wall surface 400 is located. The indoor unit 100 is thereby capable of preventing the main body 200 from shifting forward.

[0126] In addition, in the indoor unit 100 of the air-conditioning apparatus 10, when the main body 200 is about to shift forward, the inclined wall portion 213d of the central wall portion 213 and the inclined piece 334 of the hook-shaped portion 333 are firmly engaged with each other. As a result, the main body 200 is less likely to be detached from the mounting plate 300.

[0127] The projection 330 includes the bulging portion 331, which projects from the base 305, which has a W-shaped section parallel to the plate surface of the base 305, which is formed such that the sectional shape of the bulging portion 331 shrinks from the base portion 341 toward the end portion 342, and which is integrally formed with the base 305. The projection 330 includes the bulging portion 331, which projects from the base 305, which is formed such that the sectional area of the bulging portion 331 shrinks from the base portion 341 toward the end portion 342, and which is integrally formed with the base 305. The projection 330 has a W-shaped section in the up-down direction (Z-axis direction) and the longitudinal direction (X-axis direction) of the mounting plate 300 by including the bulging portion 331. In addition, the projection 330 is formed such that the shape of the projection 330 shrinks from the base portion 341, which is a bottom part of the projection 330, toward the end portion 342 (see FIG. 10).

[0128] With such a shape of the bulging portion 331, the projection 330 enables an increase in strength against, for example, a load or an impact in the up-down direction, the left-right direction, or the front-rear direction. Even when, for example, the main body 200 impacts the projection 330, the projection 330 is less likely to deform, thereby enabling the shape of the projection 330 to be maintained.

[0129] Thus, compared with a case in which the projection 330 easily deforms, the indoor unit 100 is capable of preventing the position where the central wall portion 213 and the projection 330 are in contact with each other from shifting when the main body 200 is inclined and is thus capable of improving the function of preventing the main body 200 from being detached from the mounting plate 300.

[0130] When the mounting plate 300 is attached to the wall surface 400, the inclined piece 334 of the hook-shaped portion 333 of the mounting plate 300 extends toward the wall surface 400, that is, the back (Y2 side). Compared with a case in which the inclined piece 334 projects forward to extend toward the front (Y1 side), the main body 200 is less likely to impact the inclined piece 334 when the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300. The indoor unit 100 is thereby capable of preventing deformation of the hook-shaped portion 333 due to impact of the main body 200.

[0131] In addition, even when a part in the vicinity of the central wall portion 213 of the back case 210 hits the mounting plate 300 during attachment of the main body 200 to the mounting plate 300 by an operator, the part is less likely to hit the hook-shaped portion 333 and more likely to hit the bulging portion 331 or the end wall portion 332 having a larger volume than the hook-shaped portion 333. The bulging portion 331 and the end wall portion 332 are high-strength parts formed by drawing. Thus, even when the main body 200 hits the bulging portion 331 or the end wall portion 332, the projection 330 does not deform.

[0132] In addition, the end wall portion 332 and the hook-shaped portion 333 of the projection 330 include the contact bent portion 303, at which the outer edge parts of the end wall portion 332 and the hook-shaped portion 333 are folded back short and the plate surfaces are in close contact with each other. The contact bent portion 303 is formed continuously from the end wall portion 332 to the hook-shaped portion 333. Since the hook-shaped portion 333 and the end wall portion 332 include the contact bent portion 303, the hook-shaped portion 333 and the end wall portion 332 are shaped such that the projection 330 has a high strength compared with a case without the contact bent portion 303.

[0133] Thus, compared with the case in which the projection 330 easily deforms, the indoor unit 100 is capable of preventing the position where the central wall portion 213 and the projection 330 are in contact with each other from shifting when the main body 200 is inclined and is thus capable of improving the function of preventing the main body 200 from being detached from the mounting plate 300. The case in which the projection 330 easily deforms is, for example, a case without the contact bent portion 303, a case with an interrupted contact bent portion 303, or a case in which the hook-shaped portion 333 is longer than the upper support hook 310.

[0134] When the projection 330 is deformed and the main body 200 moves upward during detachment of the mounting assistance support 14 (see FIG. 15), the central wall portion 213 of the back case 210 is not hooked on the deformed projection 330. Thus, there is a possibility that detachment of the main body 200 is not prevented. In addition, when the projection 330 is deformed, the deformed projection 330 is unintentionally hooked on the central wall portion 213. Thus, there is a possibility that the main body 200 is not detached from the mounting plate 300 in, for example, adjustment or relocation of the indoor unit 100. Furthermore, when the projection 330 is deformed, it is difficult for the hook-shaped portion 333 to be inserted into the central insertion portion 212, thus reducing the ease of the mounting operation of the indoor unit 100.

[0135] With, for example, the structure of the bulging portion 331 and the contact bent portion 303, as described above, the projection 330 is less likely to deform, thus enabling the shape of the projection 330 to be maintained. Thus, when the main body 200 is inclined, the central wall portion 213 and the projection 330 are hooked on each other. The indoor unit 100 is thereby capable of improving the function of preventing the main body 200 from being detached from the mounting plate 300. The indoor unit 100 is capable of improving safety due to the structure in which the main body 200 is less likely to be detached from the mounting plate 300 when the main body 200 is inclined. In addition, since with, for example, the structure of the bulging portion 331 and the contact bent portion 303, the projection 330 is less likely to deform, thus enabling the shape of the projection 330 to be maintained, the indoor unit 100 is capable of preventing a reduction in the ease of the mounting operation due to deformation of the mounting plate 300 in the mounting operation of the indoor unit 100.

[0136] FIG. 18 is an enlarged sectional view of the part of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment where the projection 330 is disposed in a state in which mounting of the indoor unit 100 is finished. FIG. 19 is an enlarged sectional view of the part of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment where the projection 330 is disposed in a case in which the main body 200 of the indoor unit 100 is about to fall off. In a state in which the indoor unit 100 is mounted on the wall surface 400, the upper support hooks 310 of the mounting plate 300 on which the respective hook insertion portions 211 are hooked hold the main body 200 and are always subjected to a load of the main body 200.

[0137] As illustrated in FIG. 18, when the main body 200 is attached to the mounting plate 300, the central wall portion 213 is disposed above the upper opening 330a of the bulging portion 331. In the state in which the indoor unit 100 is mounted on the wall surface 400, normally, the projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 is not subjected to the load of the main body 200. That is, in the state in which the indoor unit 100 is mounted on the wall surface 400, normally, the central insertion portion 212 of the main body 200 is not hooked on the projection 330 of the mounting plate 300.

[0138] Incidentally, plastics may be cracked or damaged by reacting with, for example, oil or a chemical substance. For example, such damage to plastics is referred to as chemical cracking. The back case 210 is often made of a resin material such as plastic. Thus, when the back case 210 is made of such a resin material and oil or a chemical substance unintentionally adheres to the back case 210, the likelihood of occurrence is low; however, chemical cracking may occur in the back case 210.

[0139] The projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 is a backup hook on which the main body 200 is hooked when the hook insertion portions 211 of the back case 210 are damaged due to chemical cracking. When the main body 200 is detached from the upper support hooks 310 and is about to fall off, as illustrated in FIG. 19, the central wall portion 213 of the main body 200 is inserted into the space S in the projection 330 and comes into contact with the top portion 331c of the projection 330. As a result, the main body 200 is hooked on the projection 330. That is, when the upper support hooks 310 are detached from the respective hook insertion portions 211, the central wall portion 213 is inserted into the bulging portion 331 through the upper opening 330a, comes into contact with the top portion 331c, and is hooked on the projection 330.

[0140] When the main body 200 is detached from the upper support hooks 310 and is about to fall off, the projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 on which the central wall portion 213 is hooked holds the main body 200 and is subjected to the load of the main body 200. Even when the main body 200 is detached from the upper support hooks 310, the projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 on which the central wall portion 213 is hooked holds the main body 200 and is subjected to the load of the main body 200. The indoor unit 100 is thereby capable of preventing the main body 200 from falling off the mounting plate 300.

[0141] The function of the projection 330 in supporting the main body 200 as a hook when chemical cracking occurs has been described above. Even in a case in which the main body 200 is detached from the upper support hooks 310 due to insufficient engagement of the upper support hooks 310 and the respective hook insertion portions 211 when an operator fixes the main body 200 to the mounting plate 300, the indoor unit 100 is capable of achieving a similar function. That is, the projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 on which the central wall portion 213 is hooked holds the main body 200 and is subjected to the load of the main body 200. The indoor unit 100 is thereby capable of preventing the main body 200 from falling off the mounting plate 300.

[0142] The projection 330 includes the bulging portion 331, which projects from the base 305, which has a W-shaped section parallel to the plate surface of the base 305, which is formed such that the sectional shape of the bulging portion 331 shrinks from the base portion 341 toward the end portion 342, and which is integrally formed with the base 305. With such a shape of the bulging portion 331, the projection 330 enables an increase in strength against, for example, a load or an impact in the up-down direction, the left-right direction, or the front-rear direction. In the indoor unit 100, the projection 330 is thereby capable of holding the main body 200 even when the main body 200 is hooked on the projection 330.

[0143] FIG. 20 is a front view of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment in a case in which chemical cracking occurs in the back case 210 of the indoor unit 100. FIG. 21 is a rear view of the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment in the case in which chemical cracking occurs in the back case 210 of the indoor unit 100. Respective dashed lines in FIGS. 20 and 21 are horizontal lines. Detection of an abnormality by an end user when chemical cracking occurs will be described with reference to FIGS. 20 and 21.

[0144] As described above, the hook insertion portions 211 are provided at respective end portions of the main body 200 in the left-right direction, which is along the plate surface of the base 305 and perpendicular to the up-down direction. In addition, the central insertion portion 212 is provided at the center of the main body 200 in the left-right direction. Thus, when the hook insertion portion 211 provided at the right or the left of the main body 200 is damaged due to chemical cracking, the main body 200 is hooked on the projection 330 as illustrated in FIG. 19 in a state in which the main body 200 is inclined to the right or the left as illustrated in FIGS. 20 and 21.

[0145] In addition, as described above, the projection 330 of the mounting plate 300 is provided below and forward of the upper support hooks 310 (see FIG. 9). Thus, when the hook insertion portion 211 provided at the right or the left of the main body 200 is damaged due to chemical cracking, the main body 200 is hooked on the projection 330 as illustrated in FIG. 19 in a state in which the main body 200 is inclined forward.

[0146] As illustrated in FIGS. 20 and 21, the main body 200 of the indoor unit 100 is inclined to the right or the left, thus enabling an end user to become aware of and promptly address an abnormality of the indoor unit 100. It is thereby possible to prevent the main body 200 from falling off the mounting plate 300. Alternatively, the main body 200 of the indoor unit 100 is inclined forward, thus enabling an end user to become aware of and promptly address an abnormality of the indoor unit 100. It is thereby possible to prevent the main body 200 from falling off the mounting plate 300.

[0147] The air-conditioning apparatus 10 includes the indoor unit 100 according to Embodiment and is thus capable of achieving effects similar to those of the indoor unit 100.REFERENCE SIGNS LIST
