[0016] The design is part of a drive carrier, which is a device that can carry a drive (e.g., a solid-state drive, a hard disk drive, or other drives) that can be mounted thereto. A drive carrier with a drive carried thereby may be used, for example, in a computing system (e.g., a server, a high-performance-compute system, a data storage appliance, a converged or hyperconverged system, or other computing systems) to facilitate installation and uninstallation (e.g., hot-swapping) of the drive to the computing system. In the Figures, the design is shown as part of a drive carrier for carrying an Enterprise & Data Center Standard Form Factor (EDSFF) drive. An EDSFF drive is a drive that has a form factor specified in one of the standards in the EDSFF family of standards, such as a form factor specified in SFF-TA-1006, SFF-TA-1007, or SFF-TA-1008. However, the design is not limited solely to a drive carrier for carrying EDSFF drives and could be used with other types of drives.
