Description

The present invention relates to a reactor (1) for carrying out catalytic reactions, comprising a catalyst bed (3) with an annular-cylindrical shape crossed by a radial flow or mixed axial-radial flow, in which the bed is delimited by cylindrical walls (4, 5) made permeable to gas by means of slots (10); and the catalyst bed is formed by catalyst particles having a nominal minimum size (D1) such that: the ratio between a transverse dimension of the slots and the nominal minimum size of the catalyst particles is less than or equal to 0.6; THE CATALYST BED CONTAINS NO MORE THAN 3% BY WEIGHT OF PARTICLES WITH AN ACTUAL SIZE SMALLER THAN SAID NOMINAL SIZE.
