(I) For Formula I, the compounds X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, Q, L1, L2, Y, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, and rings A, B, and C are as defined in the specification. The compounds of the inventive formula are EIF4E inhibitors and find use in any number of therapeutic applications, including but not limited to the treatment of inflammation and various cancers.
