THE FITTING HOUSING INCLUDES A SEAL GROOVE THAT IS RECESSED IN A SURFACE OF THE FITTING HOUSING THAT FACILITATES THE DEFINITION OF THE PIPE CAVITY.The pipe fitting includes a strap seal having a multi-sided axial cross-section profile, wherein the strap seal must be disposed in the seal groove to implement a fitting seal in the pipe fitting that includes a protruding portion having a wedge-shaped axial cross-section profile that protrudes beyond the surface of the fitting housing in the pipe cavity to facilitate sealing of a fluid conduit implemented in a pipe segment ring in the pipe cavity of the pipe fitting.
