TECHNIQUES FOR IMPLEMENTING A PIPING SYSTEM THAT INCLUDES A FITTING OF (57) TECHNIQUES FOR IMPLEMENTING A SYSTEM THAT INCLUDES A PIPE SEGMENT AND A TEST HEAD.The test head includes a cover that defines a ring cavity to be used to interface with a ring of the tube segment, wherein the cover includes an orifice lining having a male cone to be inserted into a tube orifice of the tube segment, a test port extending through the cover and fluidly coupling to the ring cavity, and an internal clamp assembly including clamp segments having a female cone that slideably interacts with the male cone of the orifice lining, wherein an outside surface diameter of the clamp segments is controlled. BY POSITIONING CLAMP SEGMENTS IN THE ORIFICE LINING TO FACILITATE SELECTIVELY SECURE AND SEAL AN OPEN END OF THE TUBE SEGMENT IN THE TEST HEAD TO ALLOW TESTING ON THE INTEGRITY OF THE PIPE.
