METHOD FOR SEWING THE OUTER EDGE OF A HAT

Abstract

The invention relates to a hemming jig for sewing the outer brim edge of a hat, comprising: a base (1) connected to a guide trough (2), the base (1) comprising the upper (1.1), lower (1.2), and groove (1.3) for mounting bolts through this groove to fix the hemming jig to the sewing machine fixture; the guide trough (2) comprising the input (2.1) and output (2.2), the inner surfaces of the guide trough are bent to guide the two edges of the hemming cord to gradually curve and press against the outer brim edge of the hat, the guide trough (2) has a locating groove (2.3) arranged along the length of the guide trough, in which the outer brim edge of the hat and the hemming cord can be inserted into the guide trough through this locating groove. The invention also relates to a method of sewing the outer brim edge of a hat using this hemming jig.
