Foam production process

Abstract

The invention relates to a process for producing flexible foam consisting of the following steps: feeding additive resin material into an extrusion unit, which essentially contains one or more thermoplastic polymers that are recyclable, recyclable, biodegradable, and / or inert; mixing inert gas with additive resin material; extruding additive resin material through an extrusion unit to produce a batch of molten polymer; passing the molten polymer batch through a die to produce an extruded product; and allowing the extruded product to expand into foam.
